The warrior of love refers to the number of posts you have. 2 is the month(February) and 14 is the day. So that would be V-day. ^^ )

》Stormpaw《 ............................................................................
The tomcat felt a sudden pang of fear hit his throat when she told him to check on the apprentices. "I wonder if they can smell it.. the fire I mean." Despite his intelligence, the tom wasn't experienced with fire whatsoever. He only knew that it was extremely lethal, even from a distance. He took off after his mentor, tail lashing as he kept in step with Flamepetal. "Sandypaw is still sick," he murmured, worry spreading through his body like the fire.

Poppyspirit didn't bother to reassure the tom about his sister. She didn't want to lie to her apprentice. Stormpaw must know most of the herb supply laid in the south of the territory. This was a very bad time for any cat to be sick. She did scent the air. There was a faint scent of smoke but nothing more. "The winds is blowing the wrong way for anyone back at camp." She said simply. At least the spirits were with her in this. The leader did not want to have to calm down a panicked clan quite yet. Once they arrived at camp, the leader dismissed the patrol with a flick of her tail. She made her way to the medicine cat tunnel. "Cinderfeather." She called. She let herself limp slightly now. Her burned paw did not suit the rocky floor of the camp. Rocks dug into the she-cat's now tender pads.

Flamepetal weaved through the camp, taking warrior head counts. Thankfully, Greynose and his play-patrol never left. She squinted her eyes to shield the fear lingering in them. She didn't want to start anything. Right now, she just looked like she had found catnip. She sighed in relief and realised everyone was in camp. "This is good... As long as every clan member is still here."

》stormpaw & cinderfeather《 ............................................................................
Pushing his anxiety aside, the young tom arrived at camp, sniffing the air right as Poppyspirit did. Only a faint scent, he thought thankfully, flicking his tail tip. He sat down next to Flamepetal, ears twitching slightly when Poppyspirit called for the medicine cat. In a heartbeat's time, the young ash colored Molly had appeared from the medicine, the look of worry clear on her face. "What is it, Poppyspirit?" she murmured softly, glancing back at her den as a soft cough erupted from it.

Poppyspirit slowly came to a stop. The cough did worry her. She had assumed Sandypaw's sickness wasn't serious. Her brother was overly worried as siblings commonly are. Now, she was worried about the rest of the clan catching the cough with the lack of herbs. She had to push this worry aside. The layout of the camp prevent sickness from spreading. She would ban visitors if it was bad. Right now, she had to focus on the current issue at paw. "Do you know where your apprentice is?" She asked in her usual firm tone.
---
Honeywhisper watched the patrol come back empty pawed and with worry written on their faces. She had to wrinkle her nose at the soft fear scent. Something happened on the patrol, that much Honeywhisker was sure of. The leader would never come back without a piece of prey in her jaws. Honeywhisper watched as the leader neared the medicine cat tunnel. She instantly perked up, trying to catch a sliver of conversation between the two she-cats. Nothing. Her tail tip flickered in irritation. Still, she wasn't one to give up so easily. Her sharp eyes spotted Flamepetal breaking off from the patrol. Honeywhisper had no clue what the other warrior was doing and didn't much care. She would be one of the first ones to know what happened on the patrol.
Honeywhisper rose to her paws and slowly started to walk over to Flamepetal. She greeted the she-cat with a tail wave. "Hello, Flamepetal. Is something wrong?" She asked, with a small voice. She let her scent show the trace of fear she did hold. After all, if the leader was shaken, wisely the rest of the clan should be too.

Flamepetal's green eyes flickered with nervousness, as she had now aroused suspicion in one cat. Soon, there would most likely be more. "The southern end of the territory... It's all ash and smoke. There was a wild fire. Luckily, it didn't spread to the camp," she murmured, only loud enough so Honeywhisper was able to hear.

Stormpaw's gaze was visibly troubled as his mentor shot off to the tunnel, his tail tip twitching in slight irritation. How could we have not known there was a fire? he wondered gloomily, glancing over at Honeywhisker as she approached. Dipping his head in respect to the warrior, Stormpaw listened to Flamepetal discuss the fire, annoyance pricking at his fur. Poppyspirit wouldn't want us to scare anyone! Sighing, he bit his lip in dejection, feeling useless to the situation. "It smells awful," he chimed in lamely, kneading his paws on the ground in worry.
Eyes gentle, Cinderfeather shook her head, unsure where the tom had run off to. "He's not with me at the moment," she began, her voice beginning to fill with slight worry. "I'm not sure where he ran off to." It was clear by the scent of fear from the patrol that something was terribly wrong. A tingle sent a chill down the young medicine cat's spine, making her shake out her ash colored fur. "What's happened?" she asked, her tone low and serious. She nodded toward a sheltered spot on the edge of camp if Poppyspirit didn't want to be heard. ............................................................................

Honeywhisper's tail flicked back and forth. This was some interesting news. Interesting because she didn't know how to feel about it. She knew she was worried. Worried about how she was going to make it through the starving moons to come. Worried about how she didn't know what would happen next. Poppyspirit wasn't unpredictable, but Honeywhisper didn't know how the rest would take the news. Surely some would panic, not that she would. There was no place for fear in the clever warrior. She knew she could survive. She was half-sandrunner after all. She could still run off with them or even by herself. She had options and ways to get out. The she-cat made sure she was never trapped. "May the spirits protect us all." She whispered just loud enough for Flamepetal to hear. She dipped her head, even if she hated to. "Thank you for sharing this." She said with a small smile, as if they were sharing a their own little secret.
She turned her head to look at Stormpaw. "It must have. Not only the plants were burning." She said, wrinkling her nose for show.
--
Poppyspirit gave a glance to her clan. She already saw Honeywhisper talking to Flamepetal. The leader's black neck fur stood on edge. Something was always never sat right with the bronze she-cat. Poppyspirit figured it was because Honeywhisper's eyes were as sharp as a polecat's. They never missed a thing. When Poppyspirit noticed Honeywhisper turning her head, the leader moved her gaze to Stormpaw. She sighed, seeing the tom just sitting around. Hopefully, he had done as she asked. As of right now, he was only serving as an uncomfortable distraction. "Stormpaw. You should visit Sandypaw." She said, flicking her tail for the tom to go down the tunnel. The leader checked one more time to make sure they were alone. She didn't want the information getting out until she wanted. She then padded to the quiet corner and turned to face her medicine cat. "The Southern territory is up in flames." She said, waiting a second for the information to sink in. She didn't wait longer than a few heartbeats. "Have any of the ancestor's spoken to you?" Her voice remained calm an even as she spoke. The leader gave away nothing of the turmoil and worry stirring in her gut.
