I think we've all seen some weird city names...
Here are some from Oregon:
I'm also including unincorporated communities.
• Boring • Sweet Home • Fossil • Government Camp • Curtin • Brothers • Sisters • Drain • Friend • Horse Heaven • Norway • Pocahontas • Rainbow • Zigzag
And when I was in Sierra and Nevada county California I went through the towns of Red Dog and You Bet. I also saw Secret Town on a map and also a place called Poverty Hill.

Government Camp sounds like a nice place to live. Poverty Hill sounds like a community that is brutally transparent about its misgivings.
In Ohio, I know there is a county called Defiance.

We've also got West Linn. There isn't an easy Linn, or even a Linn. So why the west...
Same thing with North Powder.
And also North Bend is no where near the city of Bend...

sweden has some great town names lol unfortunately my favourites are all way too rude for these forums rip
that being said, here are some sfw favourites (translations in brackets)
- härnösand (here sneezed duck (when split up correctly))
- kattstjärten (cat's bottom in old swedish-the swedish you expect really young children or old people and nobody in between to use)
- hej (hello)
- gävle (lost in translation. basically it sounds a lot like a curse when said aloud)
- gullunge (cutie, sweetie; used to refer to young children who are being sweet or kind, especially by older people)
- ölen (the beer; technically a lake but whatever)

Weird Wisconsin town names:
Plainfield Embarrass Pardeeville (once played a volleyball team from this town in a tournament, and yes my team giggled) Random Lake Rural Disco Arkansaw Dairyland (because of course you'd have to have a Wisconsin town named that) Spread Eagle
