I wrote a prophecy/prophecy dream for a fanfic I'm writing and I just wanted to make sure it was good, made sense, but wasn't too obvious at the same time.
This is just a basic summary of how the dream will go. It will, of course, be much more well written when implemented in the story.
Scorchwind is sorting herbs in his den when he sees the ghostly form of Shadowclan's previous leader sitting near the den entrance. Darkstar beckons him outside and Scorchwind follows. Entering the camp's clearing he is greeted by the sight of the camp doused in shadows. Normally this is no cause for alarm, the camp is always like this during dawn and dusk, but the shadows are thicker than usual. A blood curdling yowl echoes from the camp entrance and Scorchwind whirls around to see a badly wounded badger calmly sitting there, eyeing him with malice. The badger's wounds oozes blood, much more blood than it should, and the scarlet liquid covers the ground around the badger and begins spreading out further into camp. Scorchwind is forced to watch as the camp is bathed in badger blood, the red ooze filling up the camp until it literally begins to drown the cats. Scorchwind tries his best to stay afloat in the sea of blood but quickly finds himself drowning it. Over the panicked yowls of his clanmates, Scorchwind hears a voice; "Beware the Badger's Blood."
I hope all of this made sense, I tried my best to explain it.
The story I'm writing is basically an AU of the original arc of the warrior cats books, featuring all new cats. The prophecy is about a cat named Scar who was once a part of Shadowclan. He was kicked out for many reasons and left to twoleg place where he eventually ended up starting and leading Bloodclan. His mate, Clovertail, follows him after discovering that she's pregnant and, the day her kits open their eyes for the first time, Scorchwind (Shadowclan's Medicine Cat) receives this dream:

At first the cats will think the prophecy is telling them to beware of Scar's Kits (when he was in Shadowclan his name was Badgerclaw and everyone pretty much figures out that Clovertail left Shadowclan because she was pregnant). Eventually, after it is discovered that Scar is leading Bloodclan, they think that the prophecy was really warning them about that. Bloodclan is defeated, disbanded, and Scar is killed by his own son (who, along with his brother and sister, then go off to join Shadowclan). However, Scorchwind's apprentice has the same dream he had and it is later discovered that Scar had taken another mate who also had kits. After Scar's second litter of kits get older, it is revealed that the prophecy was warning the clans about them.
I hope all of this made sense, I tried my best to explain it.
