Anyways, I generally like things with a little bit of fantasy added in. I once tried a plot that was kind of like teen wolf, as in two friends who were out at night, one got caught by the monster, turned into a wendigo, and the other friend had to help them hide this. The person left tho, so I never got to start it.
We don't have to do that, of course, but that's an idea of the sort of rps I like. Things with some supernatural/fantasy, but grounded in some sort of reality.

Wendigos are a monster that comes from Native American mythology. It's essentially a cannabilistic human, who has either transformed into a disturbingly long-limbed and tall, skin and bones, claws with sharp teeth and grey-ish skin resembling a corpse, as well as white eyes. You'll often see them depicted with the features of a deer, such as having the skull of a deer and antlers. There are also versions where it's simply your average human who shapeshifts to have white eyes and sharp teeth. Basically, wendigos are spirits that can possess someone if they resort to cannibalism at any point, or become excessively greedy.
We can do a different monster!! maybe just your average vampire, but they become a little more monstrous looking than just pointy canines, hence having to hide it more?
Or an orc, or a gargoyle?

The monster doesn't have to necessarily follow the usual mythos anyways, we can just come up with our stuff for whatever monster, along the way

the plan when I had tried this previously was that the two gals were amateur monster hunters, primarily cuz I have a character who is all about cryptids and ghosts and aliens. Basically, they go out one night to a haunted house to record things and uh, things go wrong

I always avoided playing it because I thought it was super nerdy and the few times my brother had tried to get me to play, it was really boring, because he was adamant about following every rule. The started to play with some friends offsite and our DM is so prepared for all the crazy shenanigans we suggest to do, it's insanely fun. For example, they were being hunted by assassins, and in order to find out why, one of the ways in was to get a good pay working one night at a brothel
the character that went to try that was not very successful haha, so instead we had to go through a bunch of puzzles and riddles and fights. It's honestly a lot of fun
