fine, straight, super soft (like to the point where I can't style it... I curl my hair and it lasts five minutes if I'm lucky rip), dark blonde and getting darker which is good bc I couldn't pull off the blonde I had a kid anymore
also it grows so fast? I cut it to just below my jaw at the beginning of may and now it's a good three inches below my shoulders. I don't like it bc my hair looks better when it's on the shorter side but I never go to the hair dresser's so it ends up growing out in between visits and every time I want to lob it off myself

I straighten it obsessively because I'm ~insecure~ and also because I need one thing about me to be straight and it sure isn't happening anywhere else.

dark brown (nearly black in most indoor lighting) with (grown out) highlights, a little past my shoulders, neither thin nor coarse, naturally wavy- i can use hair products to make it curlier. i have annoying side swept bangs as well. i live in an area with an average of 77% humidity annually which lacks seasons (okay, i guess we have mild winters lol) so a clay-based holding spray is always a must, else my hair ends up a frizzy mess after spending mere minutes outside. the only annoying thing is that it has a really annoying texture but like. i guess that's what i get for living in the land of suffering and job opportunities. edit: here's what my hair looks like before i use any products or brush it (tho with an abnormal parting in this photo lmao)

i just went and took this picture for the sheer purpose of this thread
please ignore the fast-food greasepan that is my scalp. i try to go for as long as i can stand without washing my hair because it's a lot better for it and i haven't washed it since, like, monday (mostly because i havent gone anywhere of importance since then). i plan to tonight. the camera doesn't pick it up well (no thanks to my crappy bathroom lighting), but my hair has slightly reddish undertones to it. it's more obvious in the sunlight. quite nice actually, gives it an almost bronze-y coloring. my mom is the same way. idk what color you'd say my hair is. dark blonde? dark gold? something like that. it's too light to be brown but too dark to be truly blonde. my hair can't decide. when i was little it was true blonde, then brunette in my pre-teens, but has lightened again these past few years. my hair is super fine and leans toward the thick side. i get compliments on its softness a lot from other girls, which makes bobby-pins and ties a NIGHTMARE to keep in 'cause they slide out easily. it's naturally curly ("wavy" if you ask hair categorizing snobs) and i never use heat on it. the picture is an accurate representation of what it tends to look like everyday, provided i haven't had it in a braid or brushed lately. side-part. my typical routine is wash my hair with dandruff shampoo, conditioner, cold rinse, and a light mousse. scrunch with hands, then a towel, then go to sleep on it. my hair is the one thing im rather vain about. i actually like how it looks.

my hair is short. dirty blonde (tho recently i got some natural light blonde highlights). when it was long it was curly underneath and wavy on the outer layers. i have a cowlick or two that are very annoying. my hair is super thick which is kinda nice but i honestly never know how to part/style it and i feel like it looks different in every picture i take lol if i don't wash it for 24 hours it gets greasy as heck tho and it's gross ): (just reposting pics from the selfie thread)

i think we actually have similar hair, so I'll just share, the only color that I've found describes it is fawn blonde/fawn brown or tawny fawn. Everything else is like: Too much red Not enough blonde highlights Too dark Not enough red tones Too much blonde Soo...

i think having long hair helps, because then the natural oils travel down the hair shaft so it gets dispersed. and i have very non-porous hair, so it takes awhile for it to be absorbed. besides that i also have curly hair, so my second/third day hair actually looks peak because it reduces all the frizz at the scalp. straight hair tends to show oil sooner because it doesn't have the texture to hide it
it also depends on what you do during the day. which is nothing for me, usually, so i don't have to combat sweat, or heat, or any of that.
as an additional note, washing your hair too often can actually have the adverse effects desired on oil. your scalp naturally produces it for a reason. if you strip it too soon then your body starts to think it's not producing efficient quantities, so it starts to produce even more oil than it did previously. giving your hair a break by only washing it every few days gives the shafts time to absorb the natural oils and thereby slow how much is produces over time.
