Derek grinned slightly, "Too bad." He pretended to drop her into the water, but caught her before she could even land in the water and set her on the ground instead. He smirked proudly and watched her, waiting for ehr to get upset for almost throwing her in the fountain.

Storm nodded happily. "Okey!" He barked happily.
Wind was still half asleep but when Ayslin kissed him he opened his eyes and smiled tiredly. "Hello sweetie."

Melissa let out a small yelp when he was 'dropping' her in the water but when he caught her she gasped, trembling with an adrenaline rush and giddiness. "Holy s--- you scared the crap out of me!" She laughed before sitting on his foot to bother him but in a friendly way a little. "Well I guess someone doesn't like hugs." She stuck her tongue out the him

Derek chuckled slightly and rolled his eyes at her. This was probably the close she'd come to a genuine laugh from him. "I don't like hugs." He shrugged slightly and smirked at her. "Only from children. So unless you're a child no hugs." His eys drifted over to the kids to watch them for a moment.
Daniel giggled and dumped the box out on the floor and started sorting through the pieces with ease.
Ayslin lightly ran her fingers through his hair. "I dreamed of you darling." She placed soft kisses all over his cheeks and chin.

Melissa looked at him with a raised brow and her arms folded over her chest in a fake sort of pouty way. "I'm a kid, just an old one. Does that count?" She asked, genuinely curious as to what he would say even though the question really didn't need to be answered. It was an Opinionated thing

Wind smiled. "And I of you." He replied as he reciprocated the kisses and nuzzled her happily.
Storm smiled and began trying to put the pieces together.

Derek rolled his eyes and sighed, finally giving in. "Fine. If you stand up I will hug you." He crossed his arms and watched her, he seemed almost like he was pouting a bit himself. If he could even pout.
Ayslin smiled and nuzzled him. "Oh do tell me about it darling. Pretty please." She begged softly, batting her lashes at him.
Daniel continued to sort the pieces, occasionally handing him outside pieces so he could put the outside together first.

Wind sniled. "Well we were on vacation someplace. The kids were doing something else so we were alone." He said, trying to recall the already fading dream.
Storm kept putting the pieces together and he got them to fit.

Ayslin leaned in and kissed up his neck slowly. "Mmm baby do continue. I like this dream. Was it warm there?"
Daniel hummed softly as he continued to help his brother happily. He didn't really seem to care that he couldn't see to help put it together.

Melissa was sort of shocked he was giving in, but she really shouldn't be. She should just be amazed she got him to break finally, which was a feat in itself. Melissa stood up from where she was sitting and opened her arms a little to motion Derek into a hug, so once he unfolded his arms she could do so. He did uncross his arms, in a sort of pouty way but Melissa didn't pay any mind. She wrapped her arms around his midsection and after a moment or two she looked up at Derek, their face still actually quite close, "it's not a hug if it's only one person."

Wind shivered lightly and smiled as she did this. "Oh yes it was, very much so." He said with a smile. "And there was a spa in our room, so we decided to jump in it." He said with a smile.
Storm kept working on the puzzle, smiling and humming too.

Arianna huffed and rolled over so she was closer to the bed slightly. "No way. I am not a bunny. I do not hop." She stuck her tongue out at him playfully as she remained quite happily on the floor.
Derek huffed slightly as she wrapped her arms around him. Actually, it wasn't that bad. She was warm, and soft. She kind of just fit. Her little comment made him smirk. "Oh fine." He teased lightly, a playful look in his eye as he wrapped his muscular arm's around her small frame. Perfect. She was a perfect fit in his arms. A look passed in his eyes, but he quickly shoved the emotions away and glanced upwards at the sky as he hugged her, not quite ready to let the warmth go.
Daniel giggled happily. "I wanna watch cartoons." He pouted playfully, then handed his brother puzzle piece. "Can we go turn on Scooby Doo after the puzzle?"
Ayslin grinned and kissed her mate lovingly, but the kiss was short as she suddenly pulled away. "What day is it? The kids have school." She started to get up and winced as pain shot through her legs, but she tried to hide the fact she was in pain as she walked over to the closet to get dressed. "Wait. Babe. Is today the 15th?" She peeked out, with a shirt half on as she grabbed it off the hanger and pulled it on.

Melissa smiled at the thought that she had bested Derek this time, and the fact that he wasn't nearly as boring or serious as she assumed he was. At first when he put his arms around her, she assumed he would let go after a few seconds but she was actually quite wrong this time as well. Derek had kept his arms around her for a few, long moments that seemed to drag on. Melissa didn't mind to much, but when he hadn't seemed ready to let her go any time soon, she looked up at him curiously. "I thought you didn't like hugs." she teased with a sly smile

Derek shook his head and dropped his arms. "I don't. You were just warm and I forgot a jacket." he shrugged slightly, pointing out the fact he wasn't wearing a jacket out in the cold fall air, but just a long sleeve shirt. "That was the one and only hug you're ever going to get. I hope you enjoyed it." His eyes wandered to the kids, making sure they were still okay. He was very protective of them. They were his entire world. After a few minutes he sighed and looked at her, he seemed to be trying to contemplate something. "Do you.." He paused and shifted nervously. "Want to come over for dinner tonight?" He hesitated for half a second the quickly added, "You don't have to, so don't feel obligated. I'm just making shepard's pie and there is always a lot of leftovers."

Melissa followed his gaze to the children and gave a small smile. Chewy was running around with them, being careful not to knock any of them over. She could tell he loved them dearly - Derek she meant - and after hearing that his mother was never around, it made sense. Usually the older kids are the ones looking out for the little ones, especially in a family with two working parents or a single parent. She turned her head to look up at Derek when she heard him ask about dinner. Melissa let a soft smile grace her lips at his words, he seemed nervous or at least jumpy. "I would love to. Are my parents okay to come? My mother is a good cook, I'm sure she could help you out a little. Most of it may be Hungarian food though." She chuckled.

Belle huffed slightly. "It's never going to happen. I'm so little. Even Winter is bigger than me." She pouted slightly, but continued to kick the ball back to him all the same. Winter, being her twin, shouldn't be that much bigger than her, but Belle was oddly much smaller. Belle seemed to be slow at growing, almost like a human, unlike the other pups.
Derek rubbed the back of his neck and shrugged. "Uh sure. If they want to. They are going to be the only adults though. My mother won't be home." Was it normal to invite parents over too? He honestly wasn't sure. He had never actually asked someone over to dinner before. Wait. Did he just unintentionally ask her out on a date? And then she ask if her parents could come along? No. That's silly. Right? The thoughts scrambled around in his head, distracting him a bit.

"I'm only asking because I know they'll want a chaperone." She rolled her eyes and shook her head a little. Her parents were not exactly overbearing, but they were protective. Melissa could understand that though, two teenagers eating dinner, in the boy's home would seem a bit suspicious if she was a parent. "They're sort of...I don't know...protective I guess you could say. I mean, if you really don't want them to come maybe I can work something out." She offered, hoping he was picking the latter of the two. While she respected her parents and loved them to death, she would rather them not come to something like this.

Derek chuckled slightly at the idea of having a chaperone. "Mmm are they worried I'm a bad boy who is going to make you do bad things?" He chuckled more and shook his head slightly. "The kids will obviously be there too. So it would almost be like babysitting." Shrugging he put his hands in his pockets, really beginning to regret not wearing a jacket. She offered to make it so the parents wouldn't come and he nodded slightly, "Well it would be weird to have them there, but it's not a big deal if they come. Technically I was just inviting you though." Derek looked at his phone and sighed slightly as he saw the time. "I really have to get them home. If you can come dinner will be at 7, but feel free to come early. And if you don't bring your parents and need an excuse feel free to tell them my mother will be there, though I guess that would be a lie." Smirking slightly he shrugged, "But it's also not. She technically gets done work at 6, but she always stays until at least 10, so telling them my mom should be there wouldn't be lying. You know, if you want a scapegoat." Ruffling her hair playfully he grinned. "I have three baths to give. I'll see you later Mel." Turning he jogged off to get the kids and take them home and get them cleaned up for dinner.

When Belle got the ball back she attempted to pass the ball between her feet, but since she was rather short it didn't really look like much. "Thanks." She murmured and kicked the ball back to him, she wanted to enjoy playing rather than focusing on the fact she was small.

(I'll go)
Derek sighed as he wiped the water on his jeans. He had just started washing a few of the dishes. He decided to split it up tonight instead of saving them all for after. He hadn't set the table yet, since he wasn't sure if Melissa was going to come with or without her parents yet. The kids were showered and in pajamas, while they argued in the living room over what cartoon they wanted to watch. Joshua wanted Spongebob, Jessica wanted My Little Pony, while Jacob wanted a truck cartoon. Derek sighed and called into the living room "Just watch Scooby doo or nothing!" The kids quickly put on Scooby instead and it quieted down.

It took a while, a long while, but Melissa was able to convince her parents that she could go without them acting as chaperones. She told them she would be home no later than 2200 exactly, and to have her phone with her at all times, as well as using Derek's scapegoat. It felt like lying, it really and truly did, and it ate her inside, but she had to keep reassuring herself that technically it wasn't lying. Anyways, it was too late to turn back now considering she was on his porch and knocking on his door. She dressed up a little better than she would have if it had not been a holiday. But it wasn't too fancy, just a pair of slightly dangling earrings, a blush colored blouse tucked into a pair of dark jennings to sort of make it less formal, along with some flats to go with. Hopefully she wasn't too dressed up but she wasn't sure how this Thanksgiving thing works. Melissa raised her fist and knocked on the door, careful to not do it too loudly, but just loud enough to get someone's attention.

Derek looked up from where he was cooking in the kitchen. "Jessica. Grab the door. It's probably Mel." The little girl nodded and ran over, opening the door. She grinned up at her, "Hi! Derry is in the kitchen!" She giggled and ran off to watch cartoons, leaving the door open so she could come in. Derek finished the dishes and wiped his hand on the towel this time instead of his dark jeans. He had to look somewhat presentable. He wore a white button up shirt, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, his hair was still messy, but in a hot way. Looking over at her as she came in he smiled, "You're beautiful." He murmured, then blinked a few times. "I mean you look beautiful." He cleared his throat and turned away quickly, grabbing stuff to set the table. Unlike regular Thanksgiving traditions they didn't have turkey. None of the kids like it, so there was really no point in making it. He called out to the kids. "Come to the table. The foods ready." He set up plates for all of them, of course they weren't very fancy they had cartoon characters on them. Jessica giggled and sat at her spot, her plate had Trollz on it. Joshua grinned at his Lego plate, and Jacob smirked at his monster trucks. They each had to have their plates for every meal. It was rather odd, but he loved making them happy. He turned to Melissa. "So do you want Scooby Doo or we have Blues Clues in the cupboard." He chuckled slightly. This wasn't the traditional American Thanksgiving, but he didn't really care. Honestly he didn't know what one was, other than the one's he had seen on TV.
