I did this the other day too. I'm a little more, let's just say politically correct than the rest of my immediate family, and I told my mum the other day that something she said was racist. She took that as "My daughter thinks I'm a terrible racist" and it was all downhill from there. She thinks that university has basically wrecked me and turned me into this SJW but in that case I was just correcting her because of a derogatory term she was using/I'm always scared that if she jokingly says that stuff too much she might let it slip in public/I'd be emvarassed for her

✨ Տեმɾ✨ aw man i just said if my brain MRI results n stuff (trying to determine the cause of a rare chronic pain condition that's a problem w my facial nerves i have) came back and it was somethin bad i'm definitely gonna kill myself soon

@striker Ahh yeah I could see how that would be rough on parents to hear though I guess Especially if she's a protective parent at all? Like I feel as though when kids (or grown kids/adults) get diagnosed with depression or anxiety sometimes parents overreact or act oddly prob because they don't have any real control over your wellbeing anymore/they're mad at themselves for it
