You found me tonight
You found me tonight
A sight so twisted and shattered
Unlike a knight in shining armor
History has left me without a fight in my body.
You found me tonight
Without any knowledge of my background
Giving up on the battleground
Broken and bound with nobody to care.
And why would you care
When you have your own set of nightmares
Always giving you a scare
That you wouldn’t dare to forget.
I come with my own bad set of dreams
Haunting my memory with the promise of screams
Streams of tears will never fall
Even when I’m falling apart at the seams.
At first we clashed
Two different lives mashed together
But survive was what we achieved
While we both existed and grieved.
Then like a story we fell in love
Couldn’t keep away I was in a spell
And eventually you could tell
Our affection joined in circles like a beautiful carousel.
To this day I’ll never forget
A silhouette of the person I used to be
And even through all the threats
I know I’ll never regret accepting you.
