It's alright. I basically started it when I ran out of MLP episodes to watch xD Some of the songs are actually pretty good. Bunga drives me nuts (but I think that's everyone)

I like the new animal characters they introduce, like the jackals, and I like how they include a lot of Swahili in the characters' volcabulary/between that and the animal facts they sneak in there I feel it's decently educational for young kids

It's a mixed bag any time I check in. Some of it I do like, other parts I don't, and the animation could do better.
At least they didn't retcon TLK 2 however, but their interpretation of Kiara could be better
basically, it's okay but it has the capacity to become a lot better than it is. I don't think it will become better though given Disney really doesn't treat The Lion King all that well

considering that my expectations were so low they had an altitude, I'd say it ended up being okay. some of the songs are good, I like the Australian hyena, and some of the plots are alright...but the animation is pretty bad and it has a meh kids show feel overall.

The animation is clunky and poor, and the character designs range from mediocre to flat out terrible (The cheetah especially, why does she have leopard markings?? And don't even get me started on the hyenas). The show's logic clashes with the first and second films, and many characters are out of character. The messages are often overdone and most of the songs would be better if they had better singers. A lot of the voice actors for the original characters don't fit and are utterly jarring to sit through (Especially Kovu and Zira). It could have done so much better if they had had a better premise. Overall, even though my expectations were never really high, it's just a completely unimpressive show, even for kids.
