Infatuation: A Study on The Affiliation of Forum Users Shortstop and Fading Reality
In the Earth’s history there have been five great loves to last a lifetime. This list, in no particular order, includes famous couples such as Cleopatra and Mark Antony, Tristan and Isolde, Paris and Helena, Orpheus and Eurydice, and of course, Romeo and Juliet. However, actions in the last two completions of orbit (also known as years) have proven that the coupling of Forum Users Fading Reality and Shortstop also deserve a place on the list of greatest lovers of all time, as well a place in the hearts of all forumkind. Shortstop’s infatuation and eternal love is proven through her love for Fading Reality’s personality, including their sense of humor, creativity, and love for Shortstop in return.
Fading Reality’s sense of humor, which is known to be adored by Shortstop and is a trait Shortstop searches for in partners, has been documented many times. For example, Shortstop and Fading Reality have played Veracity vs. Challenge, more commonly known as Truth or Dare, multiple times over the course of their association. In one such game, Fading Reality has been documented challenging Shortstop to write a full length essay detailing her affections. Shortstop found such a challenge humorous and exhilarating, and accepted. (Main Chat, Who the **** knows) Fading Reality’s love of bad puns is known to have continued since at least 300 B.C. and is another quality trait that Shortstop has displayed interest in on her eHarmony dating profile.
Shortstop also has a deep admiration for Fading Reality’s sense of humor. Since they first fell in love, the two have had threads sending movie quotes from each other. For example, Shortstop once told Fading Reality that “when I look at you, and I’m home,” a line from Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) in the 2003 hit Disney Pixar film Finding Nemo. Fading Reality responded with “My dear, I’m a shooting star, and you’re a supernova waiting to happen,” which Shortstop, given the conduct of the conversation, believed to be a movie quote and fell deeper in love with Fading Reality once it was realized that this was not in fact a movie quote, but a saying of their own invention. Fading Reality is also an accomplished and extraordinary writer, an extremely attractive trait that Shortstop covets herself. However, that jealousy later turned into love and admiration. Shortstop also really wants to dye her hair and is jealous that Fading Reality had the balls to do it.
Fading Reality’s love for Shortstop, though apparently not as great as it is for fellow forum user Mongrel, is well known in addition. For instance, Fading Reality sometimes called Shortstop bb or sweetheart in order to make a point, though that stopped a while ago. They also used to talk every day, but they don’t do that anymore either… They used to take over the forums with all their threads of love but they don’t do that anymore either… umm… Are we sure about this? Whatever, we know they still love each other, we’re just teasing haha. On to the conclusion. If you made it this far, have a cookie.
Anyways, these two have been through a lot of shit boi. Shortstop and Fading Reality will fight to defend one another and are willing to write essays to validate each other. Did Orpheus ever write an essay for Eurydice? No? Didn’t think so. Yeah. Did Isolde ever love Tristan so much her heart hurt? N- Well, yeah, probably. Whatever, roll credits. We’re done here.
