My dearest child, You were born for greatness. When you have reached the age and maturity deemed worthy, you will find that you are very, very special. You were brought into existence for one purpose - to become a Rider. A keeper of integrity and virtue - you are a warrior born and bred to become one of the Ruby Regiment, a Rider to protect and defend those who are in need. You will find a Dragon - or, perhaps, a dragon will find you. Find your family, the Ruby Regiment - find them, and stay with them. They will protect you the way you will protect them. You will be given a name, a place, among your brothers and sisters. Protect your dragon, for they are your life.
Fly quick, my child, fly safe. The Hallowed are coming. ~Vethys, Goddess Of Messages Listen well, warrior of mine:
You were born for power and under my name, you will find it. A dragon will find you, child, and they will be your life. They will be yours and you will be theirs. Keep them safe from the wretched Regiment, for they seek your lives. Keep well in thought that you are hunted by them, that they will not rest until The Hallowed Ravagers are gone. Find your brothers and sisters of faith and trust, and they will give you a home. Create a name, and rise in power as I have commanded. Your life belongs to The Hallowed Ravagers now.
Fly fierce, warrior. The Regiment rests not. -Xoxdar, God Of The Insane
Here is where your story begins.
Long, long ago, a Kingdom rose from the ashes of a destroyed world. As the story is told, the King and Queen were fair leaders who taught only kindness could rule with complete trust of the people. They rose in power, rose in strength, and the Gods and Goddesses of the Night approved of their tactics. The deities blessed the Kingdom with Dragons, creatures that made people live in happiness and ease as the magical creatures helped greatly with harvests and healing. Many breeds were recognized, some rare and some common.
And then, another land invaded this Kingdom. It was the Hallowed Empire, their emperor harsh and greedy for gold and land. Dragons came to battle with their Kingdom, but alas, the weapons of the Hallowed Empire cut through tough scales like a sharp needle through fabric, and many dragons died. Those that survived either escaped with the Kingdom or were captured and turned dark with evil magic that drove their minds to insanity and fierce loyalty to the Emperor.
Many years came and left. The Kingdom and Empire were no more, turned into two armies of old: The Ruby Regiment and The Hallowed Ravagers. The Regiment fights for peace and freedom - the Hallowed fight for power and strength. Both have dragons, and both have power. They are fierce, and protective of their Families. Neither are afraid to kill the other.
Of course, there are those who do not choose a side.
They are very quickly found, and killed - with no exceptions.

Rules and Consequences of Breaking Them
The Laws of The Ruby Regiment Marked of Jevvane, the first High Priestess
One) The High Priestess, her Apprentice, and their dragons are the voices of our Mother Goddess, Vethys.
Two) Your first priority is our Family.
Three) Obey your superiors, but ask us questions.
Four) Your Dragon is your lifeline. If you have a dragon, or if you are chosen in the Temple, you are responsible for their life and they are responsible for yours.
Five) Your dragon is not a pet. They think on their own. Respect them as you would respect your High Priestess.
Six) Educate yourself in all forms of learning.
Seven) If you have magic, you will be apprenticed to a Mage (Or if you're a Seer, to the High Priestess herself).
Eight) Do not leave the Haven alone. Always have a squad.
Nine) Curfew is midnight for those eighteen and below.
Ten) Be kind to one another.
The Laws of The Hallowed Ravagers Marked of Danine, the first Prophet
One) The word of the Prophet is law. Obey immediately.
Two) If you are chosen by a dragon, you will learn to fight, magic or not.
Three) Your dragon is the priority. If you must choose between yourself and the dragon, let the dragon live to find a new Rider.
Four) Our family is not to fight one another.
Five) An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
Six) When you are fifteen, you will leave your family and learn to fight in the Training center.
Seven) Our boundaries are not to be crossed after sunrise or before sundown by anyone but the medics in need of herbs.
Eight) You reap what you sow. Fight hard, and you will be rewarded.
Nine) Your position is your position. Do not challenge superiors for power.
Ten) Dragons are family, but also weapons. Do not fly into battle with an unarmored dragon.
Punishments
The Ruby Regiment
The punishments that The Ruby Regiment give are not physical, for the great majority. Rather, they are mental.
There are no set punishments for offenses of laws. Rather, the superior of the offender will deal out what they see as fair. The loss of books and reading material is a common punishment for school children - also, the loss of a Dragon Saddle is a common sighting for a dragon rider who broke one too many rules. If the offense is severe, the High Priestess herself will deal the punishment.
The Hallowed Ravagers
As one may expect, The Hallowed Ravagers have a rough hand when it comes to punishments. High criminal offenses are often responded to with whippings, dungeons lock-downs, or pain spells. Low criminal offenses are usually simple but very unpleasant tasks, such as cleaning the bathrooms with a single scrub or waxing an old dragons' scales. Each high-criminal act is measured by the Superior of the offender on a scale of One to Ten.
One) Ten lashings of the whip, no metal tip.
Two) Ten lashings of the whip, with a metal tip.
Three) Fifteen lashings of the double whip, one metal end, 3 hours in Unlit Dungeons.
Four) Thirty lashings of the double whip, both ends metal, 6 hours in the Salt Dungeons.
Five) Two days and two nights of solitary confinement in an Unlit Dungeon.
Six) Twenty lashings with the double metal-end whip, three days and two nights in the Unlit Dungeons.
Seven) A pain spell that causes unchartable pain for 24 hours. Ten non-metal lashing afterward.
Eight) A pain spell in the Furnace Dungeons for two days.
Nine) Fifty lashings with metal ends, 24-hour pain spell.
Ten) Seventy double lashings with metal ends, tied lashings-down in the Salt Dungeons for 24 hours, pain spell for three days.

Areas of Territory
The Land of the Ruby Regiment
The Ruby Regiment has claimed the lands of Nymphia and Starresch.
Nymphia
The north of Nymphia, over half the land, is taken by farming. Cattle, horses, crops, and large veins of iron underground are here. The crops are usually harvested by the human hands, but Dragon hatchlings sometimes buzz around and help collect, speeding up harvests by three times. Several families live there to keep track of it all.
In the East lies the Hatching Caves. The trio of gigantic mountains are almost completely hollowed out by caves - each mother dragon raises her hatchling there for exactly one year on a chosen cave before returning. If you're lucky, and your dragon becomes a mother, she may take you to the cave and teach you the ways of dragon hatchlings. Those who return are dubbed New Raisers, and take care of the unfortunate hatchlings who lost their mothers.
In the South of Nymphia is the majority of the civilian population. Many mansions are constructed, and it's up to the people how the population is divided into rooms and floors. Each mansion usually contains two through four families, depending on the size of each variable. Plenty of space, with dozens and dozens of unoccupied mansions. The roofs are personalized for dragons by any Riders that live there. There are many stores and shops.
In the West is the Academy of Mages. It's a single castle surrounded by many acres of forest and lakes, where many horrible and helpful magical creatures live. The mages are taught by professors to learn the wonders of magic for three years, usually from seventeen to twenty - although both younger and older are welcomed with open arms.
Starresch
In the North of Starresch is the Oasis, a massive lake inhabited by a free water-dragon by the name of Nysadit. He is calm and peaceful, never surfacing from the water unless he senses something happening to his home. He keeps the water clean and safe to drink - although good luck finding fish in there. The lake spans many, many miles, and many come to swim and splash in the pretty beaches along the west side.
The East is mostly a wide, thin forest with tall oak trees called Evergrowth Forest. Many believe that an old Forest Dragon lives in the heart of the Evergrowth and causes the oak trees to grow fifty times as fast for the grateful Ruby Regiment, giving them wood for fire and tools. Some citizens swear that they make friends with the small sprites that flit through the trees, although they are shy creatures.
Towards the South lies the Main School. It's a slim stretch of simple buildings, built for children between twelve and fifteen who want to become teachers themselves. Teachers and professors are more likely than not to spend three years at a time in each section of Starresch and Nymphia to teach those who cannot and wish not to travel. In the end, everyone is educated and happy.
Lying in the West is the holiest of the entire territory of the Ruby Regiment. There is a temple to Vethys, a huge castle built from marble and silver to praise their Mother Goddess. The High Priestess lives here with her Apprentice and her significant other if she so has one, along with their dragons. Everyone, no matter age or status, is allowed there. The other place that lies in the West is the Battle Academy, where Dragon Riders come to learn to fight and ride. This is an extension of Academy of Mages, watched over by the same people.
The Hallowed Ravagers Territory
The Hallowed Ravagers have claimed the massive land of Zymphant.
Zymphant
In the North lies the Temple of Xoxdar, made of steel and crystal. Here lives the Prophet and his two apprentices, his mate if he so chooses to marry. His dragon also lives here. Everyone is required to come to the temple at least once every three months to worship their god, or he will smite them with Insanity.
The East is the Training Center. Every child of fifteen - Dragon Rider or not - is required to come and learn to kill the most effective ways. Math and science are also taught, along with dabbles in literature and art - although the art of battle is obviously the most prominent. This is also where many Dragon Riders find their dragons and visa versa.
To the South is where food is grown and water is collected. Unlike the Ruby Regiment, the Hallowed Ravagers have to clean their water from the rivers, just in case there's rotting animals or disease. Thousands and thousands of gallons are drained into several different, tiny streams going through the towns and villages of wooden and metal homes, which is the safest water to drink thanks to the magic of several Mages that cast purification spells on the canals.
Many families live in the West, in homes built of wood and metal. One family per house, usually, but they are all linked together with sturdy bridges and roads to make communications and visiting easier. Safe water runs through the villages via canals, and some even have small, personal gardens. Shops and stores are littered throughout, as well as places for dragons to raise their hatchlings.
The Form of Currency The Ruby Regiment
The usual form of money used in the entire land of the ruby regiment are coins made of the scales of different dragons (see "Breeds of Dragons" post below). Most are about the size of an American silver dollar. From least to most value:
Gevaea Scale Coin (Geva/Gevas)
Jumni Scale Coin (Jum/Jums)
Calliandre Scale Coin (Calli/Calli's)
Dovani Scale Coin (Dov/Dovs)
~~~
5 Gevs = 1 Jum
5 Jums = 1 Calli
5 Calli's = 1 Dov
Most carry their coins in a small bag in their pocket or on their belt.
The Hallowed Ravagers
The Hallowed Ravagers use the small, shedded teeth of dragon hatchlings, and most are around the size of an American quarter and either pearly white or off-white. From the least to most values:
Jarvi Tooth
Daevan Tooth
Mavar Tooth
Kelarala Tooth
~~~
5 Jarvi = 1 Daevan
5 Daevan = 1 Mavar
5 Mavar = 1 Kelarala
Most citizens carry their teeth in a small tube in their day bag or clip it to their belts.

Terminology of Importance For both sides:
Hoppers: Magical circles on the ground that can take you to another if you say the correct word. They are common, and most places have ten or twelve of them. The only places they are not available is inside either of the Temples. The Ruby Regiment: Hopscotch The Hallowed Ravagers: Juvenile
Songtone: A songtone is the unique call that every dragon rider shares with their dragon. It can be whistled or hummed (Mages can even think it) by the rider to ask their dragon to come to them or to establish a telepathic connection to communicate with. Usually four to six notes.
Mage: A citizen that is a dragon rider with magic. There is no special place in society for them, save medicinal practices if they have the ability to heal, or a Professor at the Academy of Mages if they're in The Ruby Regiment.
Family: The entire Ruby Regiment/Hallowed Ravagers community. Also used to describe personal families.
For The Ruby Regiment
High Priestess: One of two citizens that can hear the direct voice of Vethys, and also the leader who plans the Regiments' next moves against the Hallowed.
Dragons Eye: A ruby the size of a man and in the shape of a raindrop. It hovers magically above the Temple and lights up when the Regiment is in danger from attack or ambush, and every dragon hears it's Songtone and alerts their rider before preparing for battle. It also glows faintly at night, and little children have the privilege to hear a sweet lullaby to help lull them to sleep. A gift from Vethys herself, centuries ago.
Calventry: Small clinic-like places for wounded and injured dragons. Several medics live there too, keeping careful eyes on hurt dragons.
Smith Lodge: A place of dual purpose. While dragons who have bonded with a civilian live above the mansions, those who have no bond come here to rest or eat. It's a large span of far-placed, dead trees to the south of the Hatching Caves in Nymphia, where massive bubble-like 'houses' for lonely dragons magically hover and trail among the trees. Dragons are also known to bring children they find lost there, keeping them warm and safe in the bubble-nests until they can figure out where to take them.
Coinnery: A small factory-like place where dragons sometimes bring loose scales to create coins with. A sort of bank.
Skippers: The members of The Hallowed who try to cross their borders and are taken as prisoners.
Cells: The small pods that act as a jail service underneath the Academy of Mages.
Academy of Mages: Where dragon riders with magic learn how to use their abilities properly. a single castle surrounded by many acres of forest and lakes, where many horrible and helpful magical creatures live. The mages are taught by professors to learn the wonders of magic for three years, usually from seventeen to twenty - although both younger and older are welcomed with open arms.
Seer: A very rare sighting of a citizen (usually male) that can communicate with Vethys. They always become an apprentice to the High Priestess, and there is only one alive. If the High Priestess dies, he has the ability and knowledge to find and appoint another. If the apprentice dies, the High Priestess will usually find another young man to give the ability to soon enough.
Haven: The entire territory of The Ruby Regiment. The edge of the territory is marked with an invisible forcefield that The Hallowed Ravagers do not know about - when it is crossed without permission, the Dragons' Eye lights up and alerts the dragons.
Trip Field: The forcefield mentioned above.
The Townships: The towns and villages of mansions that the citizens live in: located in the south of Nymphia. There are six major areas: simply labeled Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple.
Hatching Caves: A trio of gigantic mountains that are almost completely hollowed out by caves - each mother dragon raises her hatchling there for exactly one year in a chosen cave before returning to the Townships or the Smith Lodge. If you're lucky, and your dragon becomes a mother, she may take you to the cave and teach you the ways of dragon hatchlings.
Nysadit: He is a calm and peaceful dragon, never surfacing from Oasis unless he senses something happening to his home. He keeps the water clean and safe to drink - although good luck finding fish in there. Oasis: The lake spans many, many miles, and many come to swim and splash in the pretty beaches along the west side. Nysadit resides underneath the waters and is rarely seen.
Evergrowth Forest: Many believe that an old Forest Dragon lives in the heart of the Evergrowth and causes the oak trees to grow fifty times as fast for the grateful Ruby Regiment, giving them wood for fire and tools. Some citizens swear that they make friends with the small sprites that flit through the trees, although they are shy creatures.
Dragons Eye Temple: A huge castle built from marble and silver to praise their Mother Goddess. The High Priestess lives here with her Apprentice and her significant other if she so has one, along with their dragons. Everyone, no matter age or status, is allowed there. The Dragons' Eye floats magically above the highest tower.
Battle Academy: Dragon Riders come here to learn to fight and ride. This is an extension of Academy of Mages, watched over by the same people.
For The Hallowed Ravagers
Prophet: The same as a High Priestess, but a male.
Peculiar: The same as a Seer, but usually female, and there's two. (Same rules apply)
Suicide Jumps: The patrols that try to spy into The Ruby Regiments territory. More often or not, they are captured and kept as prisoners.
Lashing: When a criminal gets whipped, it's called a lashing. A 'metal tip' lashing is when the whip had a metal shard at the end to cut through the skin. A double whip is simply a whip with two switches instead of one.
Salt Dungeons: A huge expanse of a hollowed out salt cave underground, where criminals are sometimes left and/or punished in. Everything is made of raw salt.
Furnace Dungeons: A place of extreme heat underground, hot enough to severely and painfully dehydrate anyone after a few hours but not hot enough to kill them. Criminals are sometimes punished here.
Unlit Dungeons: Huge cages of complete darkness. No matter how long you stay there, your eyes never adjust. After a few hours, you can hear faint screaming from all around you...
Scrubishment: A mocking taunt many people use to imply the punishment of cleaning or dragon scale waxing.
Pain Spell: A simple spell used by Mages to create the illusion of horrible agony. Usually used as a punishment.
Temple of Xoxdar: A massive temple made of steel and crystal. Here lives the Prophet and his two apprentices, his mate if he so chooses to marry. His dragon also lives here. Everyone is required to come to the temple at least once every three months to worship their god, or he will smite them with Insanity. Training Center: Every child of fifteen - Dragon Rider or not - is required to come and learn to kill the most effective ways. Math and science are also taught, along with dabbles in literature and art - although the art of battle is obviously the most prominent. This is also where many Dragon Riders find their dragons and visa versa. Lessons last from sunrise to sunset, then students are sent home via Hopper.
Homestead: Unlike The Ruby Regiment, The Hallowed Ravages only have one place to live (other than farms) and it's the huge expanse of homes and shops called Homestead. Each house has a number.
Spells
All spells can be used by either side, and you must cast them with a monotone voice. This makes casting them on the back of a dragon or in a fight very tricky.
Adoration: A lengthy spell that makes someone fall for you romantically. Can also be used as an obsession spell to make someone obsessed with you, but it only lasts for a maximum of 24 hours. 30 seconds to cast.
Aging: An aging spell that ages you 30 years ahead of your true age for 24 hours or less. 45 seconds to cast.

Painless: Sooth or obliterate pain, but does not heal. Help your son with the splinter in his finger? 5 - 30 second incantation, depending on the strength.
Patience: Help someone or yourself wait without tapping their foot or twitching. About a 10-second second incantation.
Peaceful: Help an angry person calm down. It can take 5 to 30 seconds, depending on how much you need them to calm down.

Generally Needed Information Applies to both sides
Time of the year: Autumn is just beginning, Dragon Riders! October is closing in, and the leaves are starting to turn red and gold.
Keeping your dragon warm: Don't worry! All dragons have winter coats, protecting them from chilly winds and precipitation!

The Citizens of the Sides
What are the citizens and the levels of power on both sides? Note: the positions are not listed by order of power. The power is a scale from 1 to 3, from least to most powerful.
The Positionings of The Ruby Regiment
(3) The High Priestess (Claimed by 𝐵𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒶𝒹𝑜𝓃𝓃𝒶)
The High Priestess is the voice of the Mother Goddess, Vethys. The goddess speaks to her through often times painful and tear-wracking seizures that wrack her body and make her eyes bleed. She tells her apprentice, who then run to the messenger to spread what the Goddess has to say.
(1) The Apprentice (Claimed by___)
The High Priestesses student, a Seer male from a family of the citizens. A very imporant keystone to the community.
(2) The Messengers (Claimed by ✦ вσвσ )
A young man or young woman whose job it is to spread the word of the Mother Goddess from the temple and all around. Usually on the back of a Jumni Dragon (see the Dragon List below). They are required to come the moment the High Priestess or the Apprentice calls - usually with a Songtone just between the three. They have access to enter any building at any time, even bars and hospitals if they're underaged. Must be seventeen or older to be a Messenger. Their only required marking is a red riding-cloak over their shoulders when they deliver the messages.
(2) Commander (Claimed by Rαѕнαrɗ )
The Commander works closely with the High Priestess and her apprentice, along with their dragons. He leads the Military in any and all attacks when it's required, and he also is in charge of recruiting more Military members and arranging platoons to help during times of natural disaster. Their uniform is all black, with a large red dragon crest over their heart.
(1) Military Member (Infinite Members allowed) 1 = Rαѕнαrɗ 2 = Ɗrυηкℓє Qrσω 3 = ✦ вσвσ
Those in the military are trained in battle and prepared to fight at any time. They are required to be dragon riders and have pledged to the High Priestess herself. They are also required to serve the people in times of natural disasters. Their uniform is all-black with a ruby-red insignia of the Dragons' Eye over the heart.
(2) Medicinal Cheif (Claimed by Ɗrυηкℓє Qrσω)
Also working closely with the High Priestess and Commander, the Medicinal Cheif is the man or woman who is expert in both citizen and dragon healing. They are usually bonded with Kelarala dragons (See Dragon List below).
(1) Helping Medics (Three spots - 2/3 open) 1 = ✦ вσвσ
The Helping medics are three citizens who have an uncanny talent to learn the art of healing and medicine. They assist the Medicinal Cheif as he or she orders and are often found flitting about the Township helping the lesser-injured dragons and citizens as the fatally wounded are at the Calventry. They are also usually bonded with Kelarala dragons.
(2) Secondary Leader (Six spots - 6/6 open)
Secondary Leaders are something akin to the mayor of each Township. Their badge is relatively simple - a Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, or Purple dragon pin on their shirt. They balance their Townships budget, lead the local police force, and generally keep their town together.
(1) Local Police Forces (Unlimited Members)
Just your typical police, except they ride on their dragons above the city instead of in a car. They also sport a Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, or Purple wristband to show that they're police in their local Township.
(1) Citizens (Unlimited Members) 1 = faundestwishes
Just your average Jane and Joe's, who work one or a few of many jobs that are all equally important to the communities!
(2) New Raisers (Two spots - 0/2 open) 1 - astro 2 = faundestwishes
New Raisers are those few, rare lucky ones who have been taken to the Hatching Caves and taught how to raise new hatchlings. They generally stay and live at Smith Lodge in small cabins, taking care to turn eggs in the fires they're put in and teach the baby dragons how to act and feed. New Raisers are highly respected throughout the community and are welcome to speak to the High Priestess without asking a Messenger first.
The Powers of The Hallowed Ravagers
(3) Prophet (Claimed by ___)
The Prophet is the voice of the God of Insanity, Xoxdar. The God speaks to him through often times painful and tear-wracking seizures that wrack his body and makes his eyes bleed. He tells his apprentices, who then run to the Howlers to spread what the God has to say.
(1) Peculiars (Two spots - 2/2 open)
The students of the Prophet, two Peculiar female citizens.
(2) The Shriekers (Two spots - 0/2 open) 1 = 𝐵𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒶𝒹𝑜𝓃𝓃𝒶 2 = astro
These two citizens are those who spread the word of Xoxdar through the Homestead. One covers the North/East sectors of the city - the other take the South/West sectors. They can go anywhere they need to when they're spreading the word. They have to wear a black bandana-like wrap around their left wrists.
(2) The Dungeon Master (Claimed by кιωι cнєєѕєcαкє ) Haha I made a DnD reference Pffft
The Dungeon Master is the man or woman who controls the Dungeons - the Salt, the Furnace, and the Unlit. They know all the secret passageways and knows exactly how to work the prisoners until they break. Usually, a mage who is bonded with a Daevan dragon (See Dragon List below).
(2) The Offender (Claimed by ✦ вσвσ )
The Offender is a man or woman who is in charge of all the Militia. They work closely with the Prophet and are in charge of keeping his Militia in line. All-white uniform with black trim, and a black riding cloak with a dragon feather lined hood.
(1) Militia Members (Unlimited Members) 1 = Ɗrυηкℓє Qrσω 2 = ✦ вσвσ Those who are trained to kill from the backs of dragons. They generally do not help the citizens during natural disasters. All-white uniform with a black riding cloak.
(2) Ghouls (Four spots - 1/4 open) 1 = astro 2 = Rαѕнαrɗ 3 = Ɗrυηкℓє Qrσω
Ghouls are those who patrol the Homestead from the air on the backs of their dragons, watching for criminals. They are allowed anywhere, anytime - even to the Prophet himself - to report a crime. They work closely with the Dungeon Master.(Hehehe) They wear a black dragon pendant around their necks.
(1) Citizens (Unlimited Members)
Your average citizens. Work, play, learn, fight - all the good stuff.

The Dragon Breeds
Dragon breeds are usually Magical and are normally bonded with specific people. There are no boundaries when it comes to breeds.
Calliandre These dragons are rather shy and careful, with a completely feathered body and massive lion paws instead of average dragon feet. The pads of their paws are the only things on them that are scaled. They have no wings but can still fly, and their riders are easily seated in a short groove between their shoulder blades. They move completely silently, even on the ground - their paw pads make sure of that. About thirty feet long, they have a gorgeous ombre of colors - either two or three. The most common scheme is soft green to soft blue. They have no breath power. They make gentle cooing sounds, occasionally sending out a long, howl-like song that others of their species join in to create a beautiful lullaby through the lands.
Daevan Massive beasts with long, fang-like teeth that drip with venom. Up to seventy feet from snout to tail-tip, Daevan dragons have huge wings with lighter-colored patterns on the underside, and their claws are sharp enough to cut down entire trees with one swipe. They're big and strong, but also rather slow in the air. Their scales are hard and sharp, a short triangular shape. They have no breath power, but a single nip - even a scratch - from their fangs mean certain death. These dragons have typical roars, although much, much deeper than average.
Dovani These dragons are built for sharp turns and winning wars. Forty feet long with razor-sharp spikes covering its belly and tail, the Donavi has razor-sharp wings that can cut a human completely in half with minimal effort. They're usually one solid color - commonly green or yellow, but they've been seen in colors as bright pink too. They have the basic fire breath to a thirty-yard range, and their voices are like crackling embers and chittering cries.
Gevaea Scaled all over, Gevaea's are tall and broad with a body length of thirty or so feet. They have hummingbird wings, beating too fast for the human eye to see more than a blur of. When their ability isn't activated, the dragon is usually one solid beige-like color - but with a single thought, it can go completely see-through. The perfect camouflage. They can breathe small bursts of scalding hot water, and they make medium-pitch, short bark-like roars.
Jakaran Easily the most beautiful dragon, the Jakaran is known for its long, lean body that glistens with what seems to be diamond scales. Even its wings are beautiful, wide feathered spans of hypnotic color, usually blues and purples, pink once in a while. That's actually its power - the dragon can hypnotize you, then swallow you in one bite. They have no breath power, but their voices are more like music than roars - in fact, they sound quiet like a symphony of bells.
Jarvi Also known at the whip-tail, the Jarvi is, well, mostly tail. Scaled and sleek, this long creature winds through the air with its legs tucked up under its belly. At the end of its tail are several tiny dart-like spines, which can be unleashed with a flick. The body is about a fourth of its length, and they are usually colored forest-y colors like greens and browns. They emmit loud screeches, one of the most recognizable dragon calls.
Jumni Jumni Dragons are usually smaller than the average dragons, about twenty feet long from snout to tail tip. They have two pairs of wings and don't have a breath power. They're also the fastest of the dragons and colored bright red or orange with tough, rounded scales. They sound a rather lot like birds, chirping and chattering pleasantly.
Kelarala The Kelarala are gentle giants, long and slim. About fifty feet from snout to tail tip, their wings are scaled on top and feathered on the bottom - the rest of their body is also feathered, except its scaled underbelly. They have the ability to shrink themselves to the size of a large dog and have a cute habit of following their rider. They're usually a kaleidoscope of soft blues, greens, and purples with large gemstone eyes. Their breath can speed up the healing process, and they are almost silent except for breeze-through-trees like whispers.
Maservin Maservin are fierce and wild, with flaming tempers and an ever brighter body. Usually bright reds or oranges, they are long-bodied and narrow-winged, covered in short feathers that reflect heat. They can breathe narrow streams of molten rock with a range of twenty yards. Their calls are high and sharp, and often come as a warning right before one of their molten attacks.
Mavar They are short but broad, known for their massive wings. Their scales are the toughest of all the dragons, almost impossible to break through, making them the military's and militia's first-chosen dragon. They have a broad head and wide-set eyes, giving them the advantage of a wider sight-range. With their raw, near invincibility, these dragons do not have a magic breath. They're colored stone-like grays and their calls are like stones crashing together and shattering.
Metalaea These dragons are known for their reflective, metallic-like scales. Their scales are much wider than the other breeds, but more pliable. Their wings are wide and thick, built for gliding long distances rather than actually flying. They're usually colored gold, silver, or copper and they have two twin tails to help with sharp turns while they glide. Their calls sound horrible - nails against chalkboard, metal against metal.
Vansrae The vansrae are tall, noble-looking, feathered creatures with long, lean necks and a softly curving head. They stand proud and tall with their bird-like wings folded calmly against their arching back, and they are well-known for curling their long neck around their riders when they're resting together during a chilly day. They can breathe long streams of thick fog, obscuring up to a quarter mile diameter with a smog only they and their rider can see through. They're usually colored deep, solid colors and they growl and purr more than anything else.
Wavros The Wavros seems to be the most exotic dragon. They have long, slender pea-like feathers all over their lean bodies and long, elegant wings. Their tails are exactly like the bird they're colored after, and they fan out behind them parallel to the ground. Their breath can cause huge gusts of wind, some even powerful enough to pull tree roots from the ground. Their calls are something of a cross between a peacock and Daevan
Zivirea Although blind, the Zivirea dragons are not at a loss. In fact, they have quite the upper hand - slightly psychic, these dragons can see a little into the future in order to know where to fly, where to strike, and when to dive their lean, strong bodies to the ground with their leathery, bat-like wings pressed to their sides. They're colored either pure white or pearly grey, and have no breath powers. They are also completely mute.

Characters
The Ruby Regiment
Character Name: Juniper Anaya Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: High Priestess Age: 20 Appearance: A young woman with flaming red hair and pale skin, freckles splattered across her nose and cheeks. A fine, heart-shaped face that was once beautiful, but now has a horrible scar crossing from the center of her forehead and curving over to her left cheekbone, blinding her in one eye. The other is a bright sky blue. She is strong and lean from hours and hours of flying on the back of her dragon. Attitude: Unsatisfyingly curious - always doing some sort of research or visiting Smith Lodge to learn more about dragons. She visits with her people often and does her best to make sure she does what is best for them. She's very passive aggressive, which seems worse because of her scarred-over eye. Dragon Breed/color: Vansrae, dark blue Dragon name: Navi
Character Name: Rhysand Vanserra Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: Commander age: 26 Appearance: Tall and imposing are good words to describe Rhysand Vanserra. He stands about six-one, although he often seems taller simply because of his imposing aura. His skin is a warm golden, tanned by years and years in the sunlight. The coloring of his skin is enhanced by the stark black of his hair. His eyes are a blue so intense they're almost violet, framed by dark lashes. His nose is straight and proud, save for the small crick in the bridge from a break that had healed incorrectly. His chest and back are crisscrossed with scars of various lengths, due to his life of warfare. Attitude: Intense and intimidating are the first words often used to paint a picture of Rhysand. He's highly observant, highly intelligent, and fairly arrogant. He can be flirtatious and charming to some, but intensely frustrating and difficult to read to others. He often seems to be aloof or disinterested, but in truth, Rhys watches each person that he comes into contact with carefully. When it comes to protecting his people, he's dedicated to a fault, and would gladly sacrifice himself - whether his life or his sanity - to protect them. His strategic mind and ability to read people is why he was made Commander. Dragon Breed: Wavros Dragon name/color: Morrigan, 'Mor', black and silver Things I should know/Other: Rhysand has some magical potential, but he was not properly trained.
Character Name: Kallias Winters Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: Military Member age: 30 Appearance: Pale and stark, Kallias seems more a ghost than a living being. His eyes are an icy blue, made even paler by his snow-colored hair and brows. His nose is straight, mouth full, and cheekbones high, although his right eye is marred by a scar running from his temple diagonally to his nose. He did not lose sight in that eye, surprisingly, but the puckered skin on the edges of the scar give him a menacing appearance. Kallias is tall and lean, built for swift, sustained combat. His back is deeply scarred with faded white lines, and are barely covered by the tribal-like tattoos that stretch across his shoulder blades. The inside of his right arm is also marked with scars that resulted from a rather harsh attack from a metal-bound whip. Attitude: Unwavering and intense, Kallias very much exudes the icy personality that his appearance gives. He is quiet and observant, somewhat set in his ways, although he is not necessarily unwilling to make changes. It takes some convincing for Kallias to change his mind, though. Kallias tends to hold grudges, although he internalizes his anger and frustration, releasing the tension in training. He's intelligent, has a quick wit, and intensely loyal, making him an excellent soldier. He has the tendency to focus in on something intensely and will hound his goals until he achieves them, sometimes despite orders otherwise. Dragon Breed: Zivirea Dragon name/color: Thesan, pearly white Character Name: Leighton Shayde Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: The Messenger Age: twenty-five Appearance: a black and white shadow, Leighton is a pale shadow. He is tall and lean, a touch taller than six feet with a lean and hard physique from spending almost his entire life riding. Leigh has thick, dark, layered hair that falls more heavily to one side, the other shaved down to reveal the swath of scars on the right side of his head. He has pale blue-gray irises are framed by heavy lashes and dark brows. He has a splattering of dark freckles over his nose and cheeks, with several dark chocolate beauty marks on his cheeks and chin. He is more pretty than handsome, and it is rare to see him smile. Attitude: Leigh is a quiet and serious young man, not saying much beyond what is required of him. That is not to say he is unintelligent, but rather he is quite observant and quick witted. He is a patient, peaceful, and neutral man. Leigh doesn't consider himself to be on either side, even though he is technically for the Regiment, he is not the most loyal of types. He has a strong moral code, and if someone's values go against his own, then he'd flip easily on them. He believes he knows what is right and what is wrong, and he is stubbornly clung to those ideas his entire life. Dragon Breed: Jumni Dragon name/color: Issyina / blood red Things I should know/Other: When Leigh was at the Academy, when he was just learning to ride Issyina he was thrown from her back and was devastatingly injured. His entire right arm was crushed, the right side of his skull crushed and several other injuries. It was a miracle he survived, but it left him with scars and the threat that he might become blind.
Character Name: Alexius Aquilla Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: Helping Medic Age: nineteen Appearance: standing a shade under six feet, Lexi is a lanky and slim young man. His hair is dark, once long enough to brush his shoulders but has been trimmed back to be pushed away from his face. He has warm, pale skin that would tan if he ever spent any time in the sun. His eyes are dark brown, but burn with amber-gold flecks near the center of his iris. He has a youthful face, soft and unmarred by any scars or blemishes. Lexi is generally scrawny and young, not coiled or lean, and a bit awkward and unskilled when riding anything. He never stands straight, rather he is pouring over books and patients and looking over the shoulders of other medics. Attitude: Lexi is endlessly curious and quite nosy. He wants to know everything, and in his pursuit has become a voracious reader and quick learner. But with this, he is quite naive to the ways of anything other than healing. Ever since he was a child he showed an affinity for healing others, but his interactions with those people is usually awkward and mangled with a lot of his stumbling over words. He isn't social, and lacks in communications other than strictly professional ones. He is bold when it comes to working on others, isn't afraid to jump in, but he has never seen any real injuries of true battle. Dragon Breed: Kelarala Dragon name/color: Tessarion / deep blue-violet with gold eyes Things I should know/Other: he has a natural affinity for healing magic
Character Name: Lorcan Aesir Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: Military Member Age: thirty-seven Appearance: the striking image of a true hero is Lorcan. Tall, muscular, pale scars marring his bronzed sungold skin, and a winning smile. He is always flashing his smile, although it doesn't quite reach his eyes, which hold something else. It is the look of a predator, unhurried and unworried by the world. His hair is raven black, clipped short and straight, usually mussed and with little care for how it lands. He has sharp, hawkish dark hazel-brown eyes framed by heavy dark brows and ink black lashes. and while he's not quite a hero, Lorcan is certainly hungry for blood and battle tested with his swath of scars over his body. He also has a fondness for inking and tattoos, having many intricate patterns on his shoulder, forearms, and back. Attitude: Lorcan is arrogance personified. Quick witted and hot tempered, it is easy to rile Lorcan, especially since his pride often pushes in his way. He is a great soldier, no doubt, but he often thinks he is right and hates listening to orders from others. He can be surprisingly charming, his silvertongue wiggling him out of troublesome situations. it is the wrestling of ambition and loyalty that constantly fight for dominance within Lorcan, because while he is loyal to his fellow soldiers and especially to his Commander, he wants to rise higher and higher. He is surprisingly nihilistic, which makes him fearless and maybe a little stupid in battle since he really doesn't care if he dies or not. Lorcan believes in chaos, knowing one day he might be taken from this world and it won't be the fates or the gods or some other force, just that he happened to end at that time. Dragon Breed: Daevan Dragon name/color: Rhaelle / dark gray, like rain slicked stone Things I should know/Other: Lorcan is very much an atheist and doesn't believe in Vethys or any kind of god.
Character Name: Sassafras Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: New Raiser age: 20 Appearance: Sassafras is gangly, to put it nicely. She is 5’11” with thin arms, legs, and knobby joints. She piles her strawberry blonde hair into a tall bun, but a good chunk of it escapes into her face. Her pale complexion has only gotten softer as she spends time in the caves. She has a prominent beauty mark right above her right eyebrow. Her nose is straight, her eyes are green- though some would say they are blue. Attitude: Sassafras was eager to spend her years learning and studying. She had a curiosity about the diversity of life and often times found herself in days worth of note taking on a single species she was cataloging. Curious describes her well, but Sassafras also has a quick temper. She tries to seal it behind forced politeness- especially if you are her superior- but is known to emotional out bursts. Normally a bit withdrawn she doesn't see why people would take the time to try and get to know her, she can be quite attached to people if they get to know her. She is competitive, but tries to deny it. She is eager to please and hungry for recognition, and while she was bitter about losing her shoot as a cataloger, she can hardly find fault in her dragon. She adores and dotes on her dragon affectionately, putting far more affection into her than other humans. She coos and happily raises young hatchlings and hates to see them go. Dragon Breed: Calliandre Dragon name/color: Winna/Deep violet to soft blue ombre Things I should know/Other: She has a first name, she only gives it out to people she likes. Goes by either Sassafrass or Sass otherwise. She was an eager researcher before her dragon became a Mother. She was cataloging dragons, woodland creatures, and other mystic beasts in great detail and with great passion. She was quite bitter about being dragged off to the hatcheries (her dragon insisted) but has found a great deal of enjoyment in raising and taking care of abandoned eggs/dragons. She keeps a detailed journal of every dragon she has raised and can recognize them as adults most of the time. Deathly afraid of large bodies of water.
Character Name: Galileo Broxsted Regiment or Hallowed: Regiment Position: Citizen [professor] age: 35 Appearance: Galileo seems to stand as if he is sloping, this slouch makes him appear smaller than he is, and helps add to his gentle stature. Lean arms, big hands, and soft movements. His long blond hair spills messily past his shoulders, and his beard is thick against his face. He often looks at people fondly, and he has had his eyes compared to warm steel- though he does not quite get the sentiment. He has an intricate tattoo that peeks out from his rolled up shirt sleeves, he doesn't show it off too often. Attitude: Often times people find themselves asking him to speak up, and as a teacher he finds this quite frustrating; yet Galileo just sighs and raises his voice until he can be heard. He is patient, kind, and encouraging. Children seem quite fond of him, and even his older students find it hard to find fault with him. He spends a lot of time traveling to teach. He is very honest, but also tries to phrase things tactfully if they might cause offense. He is humble, and some people think he is too humble. He is polite, but has been known to have a bite if people are causing trouble for others, he dislikes injustice. Dragon Breed: None Dragon name/color: None Things I should know/Other: His previous partner was sure he would find a dragon, but when they passed he stopped seeking one. He is a mage, but is not terribly proficient in healing magic [old friends say it is because he cannot mend his broken heart, he says it's because he's always been bad at it]. His previous partner died six years ago.
Character Name: Vanessa Caera Regiment or Hallowed: Ruby Regiment Position: Local Police Force Age: 24 Appearance: Vanessa is a thin, pale young woman with white-blonde hair. Her hair only goes down to about her shoulders, but is still rather thick. Occasionally she'll pull in back, but she much rather prefers to let the wind blow through her hair. Her skin is a creamy white color, and is only slightly lighter than her hair, giving her an almost sickly appearance. Vanessa’s eyes are both colored icy blue, and they easily betray many of her emotions. She wears a purple wristband on her left hand, signifying her position. Attitude: Vanessa is bright and peppy, but also can be hot-headed and impulsive. She has a constant burning energy inside, and it always needs to escape, be it by social interaction or swift flights throughout the area. If this energy isn't worked off, she'll become increasingly restless, and begin to ignore even good advice from friends. She can work herself up into quite an ugly mood, but as soon as she's able to work it off, she's back to her normal, sunny self. She does have moments when she slows down and focuses on introspection, questioning most things she knows. But these moments are few and far between, and soon she's back to her usual social self. Dragon Breed: Gevaea Dragon name/color: Audra, Light Brown Things I should know/Other: Her songtone is C, F, Bb.
The Hallowed Ravagers
Character Name: Empire Donovan Regiment or Hallowed: Hallowed Position: Shrieker Age: 19 Appearance: A tall, olive-skinned young man with black hair that comes to his shoulders and dark brown eyes that almost look black. He's lean and strong, usually wearing a hood and a bag that he puts the Prophet's messages into before spreading them through his section of Homestead. Attitude: Calm and quiet, Empire is hard to read. He has a violent streak - he has been known to throw punches, and he has the kind of air about him that makes people fidget uncomfortably. Other than that, he simply does his job and tries his best to avoid people. Dragon Breed/color: Jumni, vibrant red Dragon name: Octavian
Character Name: Feyre Archeron Regiment or Hallowed: Hallowed Position: Ghoul age: 20 Appearance: Petite and slender, Feyre is built more for agility and swift, hand-to-hand combat than she is for intense battling. Her hair is a golden-brown, shimmering more gold in the light. Her face is heart-shaped, nose slightly upturned, eyes a startling blue-gray that seem to shift between colors depending on her mood. High cheekbones, long, dark lashes, and full lips add to her beauty. Feyre's body is slender and toned, but she still retains some curves. She has almost no notable scarring, considering her role in society. Attitude: Indifferent to most, Feyre seems to drift through life. She's a fighter though, and will do anything to protect herself and her dragon, although she would gladly take a killing blow for Nesta's safety. If you manage to worm beneath Feyre's cold and indifferent exterior, within is a heart that loves deeply, feels intensely, and would do anything to protect those it cares for. Feyre is highly protective, sarcastic, and brutally honest, but she is also gentle, caring, and highly devoted. She's good at reading people and figuring out motivations, and will not hesitate to use any knowledge against her foes to protect those she loves. Dragon Breed: Vansrae Dragon name/color: Nesta, silver-white
Character Name: Lysander Hale Regiment or Hallowed: Hallowed Position: The Offender Age: forty Appearance: Lysander has a short, slender build, and has a glittering smile of silver and real teeth. he has wild, waving brown and gray hair that is more gray than dark brown at this point. he has thin, graying brows over sharp, laughing gray-green eyes, and an angular face. his hands are covered in tattoos, his body scarred, and distinctive mint scented breath. Since he is quite small, he is often underestimated, and many wonder how is this small man the Offender, but his prowess fighting on Dragonback is not to be underestimated. Quick and deadly, his many scars tell the tale of how he rose through the ranks of the deadly Hallowed. Attitude: somehow Lysander has survived most of his life as a soldier. more comfortable in the air than land, and perhaps one of the best players of the political game. He has survived by keeping his arrogance in check and by sowing seeds of chaos. With a flashing smile, a smaller stature, and generally friendly disposition it's easy to trust him, but he's a backstabber, ambitious for an unknown end game, and generally untrustworthy. Hale only plays the game for himself and his own gains, but if you gain his trust, become his loyal ally then it's the best spot to be. He's patient, cunning, and has played the game for more years than most. His men do not follow him because they love him, they follow him because they know he will go to whatever lengths to win. Dragon Breed: Dovani Dragon name/color: Theron / dark emerald green
Character Name: Kazimir Thorne Regiment or Hallowed: Hallowed Position: Militia Member Age: thirty Appearance: Kaz has a surprisingly bright and cheerful look. His hair is dark gold, wavy, and an absolute mess. unlike his stony faced family, he has a razor sharp smile, flickering eyes, and an easy laugh. he's nicknamed 'Chompers', because he is always flashing a smile of bright teeth, one of them actually a silver one. his eyes are piercing light blue, fanned by thick, but pale lashes. Kaz is quite large, standing six foot four, muscular and densely boned. he's not the quickest, but certainly nimble with his fingers enough to make up for it with his weapons of choice. he is pale and handsome, but like many of the Hallowed marred by whip marks across his back and scars up and down his forearm. Attitude: wild. on the brink of madness. cruel. ruthless. those are the usual words to describe Kaz. he was much younger than his brother, making him the 'baby' of his family, and he's used to having what he wants. and if he can't have it, he'll take it. he is mercurial, one moment laughing and jolly, the next violent and cold. he seems to have two sides, one that is easy going, flirty, and even sweet at times, but then the cold-blooded nature breaks that facade, showing his manipulative, ruthless, and manic state underneath. he is untamed, unattached to any of his family, and a short fuse. one day he'll short circuit and ruin himself and all around him. Kaz seems to be nothing more than a monster to be used, manipulated, used to murder and pillage. His ambition for himself is shortsighted, deeming him to be the perfect, self-destructing pawn. Dragon Breed: Maservin Dragon name/color: Kinvara / bright golden yellow Things I should know/Other: he has faint makings of magical ability, but he has never been trained, nor did anyone ever really notice.
Character Name: Aeron Kirikie Regiment or Hallowed: Hallowed Ravager Position: DM Age: 32 Appearance: Aeron is tall and lean, but still carries a good amount of muscle on him. He stands at about 5’10”. His hair is messy and pitch black, without even a hint of another color. His green eyes sparkle with the type of sarcastic, sadistic humor he’s known for. He also has pale freckles all across his face and arms, but they only come out when he’s been in the sun for some time- which doesn't usually happen, considering how much time he spends in the dungeons. Aeron also has a small scar on his lower lip, as well as a larger one on his right arm. He might have been seen as kinda cute, if it wasn't for the job he took. Attitude: Personality wise, Aeron is extremely dynamic. He can change from a nice, friendly person to a vicious killer in a few minutes. He is consistently more street smart than actually intelligent, relying on what years of experience have taught him is true over whatever a book tells him. Added to this is his strange sense of sadistic humor that often comes off as just plain cruel. However, he finds it hilarious, and will often joke with his prisoners even as he’s flogging them. Dragon Breed: Daevan Dragon name/color: Domen, Dark Maroon/Black Things I should know/Other: Aeron has been working this job for going on 5 years, and absolutely loves it. He could never imagine a better destiny for himself, and is very grateful for being appointed. He also is a Mage, although he has somewhat weaker powers. He usually just uses it for pain spells, and anything much larger than this is out of his capacity. His songtone is Ab, D, E

(Hi! This looks pretty cool, but I'm in a similar position as astro- I'm currently on vacation at the moment and I won't be back until the ninth. I'll attempt to complete some character forms but there's no guarantees.)
(Could I claim the Medicinal Chief spot, a Ghoul spot, and a regular military member for each side, if that's okay?)

~~~~~~~~~
Great, feathered wings cast massive shadows over the Red Township as the dragon soared far into the sky, a young woman taking a careful hold onto the fine grooves that were naturally tucked in between the shoulder blades of the Vansrae dragon underneath her. Powerful wings beat the air as the dragon growled with pleasure, his feathers shuffling in the wind as he snapped a pigeon from the air, swallowing it down in one gulp. "Navi!" The young woman scolded, and the dragon let out a soft whine at her tone as he reached out with his mind. "Not even the fat ones," Juniper said, and Navi just flicked his left wing just enough to throw her off balance. She carefully latched on again, and Navi let out a strange laugh-like grown as his rider laughed joyfully.
Juniper Anaya, High Priestess of The Ruby Regiment, was technically supposed to be Hopping to Dragons' Eye Temple to fill the scented oil lamps that reverenced the majestic building, although she found that Hopping was not only unamusing but that her dragon was feeling particularly needy that day. So, she gave the Songtone and he appeared just minutes later at the front doors of the last mansion in the Red Township. He was grateful to be ridden again - the last few days had been particularly painful for his rider, and while he understood that Vethys would speak to her when the Goddess required, he was very tightly bonded with the Priestess and had practically begged her to come riding again.
They were almost home to the Temple. It was. cool, crisp day - Autumn was beginning, and Navi knew that this was the time what his feathers would grow long and thick to not only keep him warm but shed any snow that would fall onto him during the oncoming winter months. Juniper could feel it too, although she embraced the cold with open arms and a wide smile on her scarred face, her just barely shoulder-length hair rustling in the wind like fire itself. Navi tossed his majestic head in happiness as his rider laugh, feeling her jump nimbly into a crouch and hold back onto the natural grooves on his spine. "Navi - dive!" she commanded, and he happily obliged with tucking his wings almost all the way in. Opening his jaws, the dragon let out a thick line of harmless fog to embrace his rider.
Hours passed as Navi and his rider zoomed towards their homes, and they were almost there when emergency struck. Rather, Vethys struck. The High Priestess froze up, then her eyes rolled back and Navi roared in panic as his rider began to fall off of his back, three hundred yards in the air. Scarlet dripped from her eyes as she fell, the leather trench coat over her muscular form snapping in the chill air. Tucking his wings in the rest of the way, Navi zipped towards her like lightning and reached out just in time, wrapping her with his front legs against is warm, feathered underbelly and snapping his wings out, whining as the air pulled painfully at his muscles. Juniper was seizing against his sensitive belly, and he held onto her tighter as his sharp mind realized that there was no way he could place her down gently. They were too close to the ground, and while he was pushing down with his wings to slow them rapidly, momentum was dragging them down even faster. In a split second, he wrapped his wings around his belly and let himself land on his back, protecting the High Priestess with his wings and legs.
He whined as bruises began to blossom under his feathers, but then he carefully rolled over with a twist of his long neck and let Juniper rest on the ground. They were only a few dozen miles from the Temple - he could feel the Dragons' Eye in the back of his mind, content for the moment. Surging to his taloned feet, the dragon awkwardly but carefully scooped the High Priestess into his front legs and cradled her against his warm belly, racing as fast as possible to the West of Starresch, to the temple. By the time they were in the sights of the guards around the Temple, the woman had stopped seizing and was still again, the blood no longer dripping from her eyes. The dragon whined as several guards came forwards, the but woman - barely awake - pushed them away, stumbling to her feet. "No!" She commanded, refusing help as she struggled to her feet. "No. Get me Rhysand and Leighton, now. Find him!" She snapped when they didn't listen, her body still shaking from the message from her Mother Goddess. Navi caught Juniper with his strong head as she almost collapsed, and he pulled her into the groove between his neck and shoulder blade as chilly wings made her skin pale further. Long neck curling around his Rider protectively, the dragon snapped normally friendly jaws at anyone who approached, only allowing the Commander or Messenger to come forwards.
Empire and Octavian darted through low clumps of mist and fog, a streak of black and brilliant scarlet as the Jumni dragon zipped to and fro, snarling as she approached the Homestead from the direction of the Temple of Xoxdar. The young man on Octavians' back was leaning low, his hands holding onto the niches on the sides of her neck, guiding her more with his mind that those strong hands as he zipped towards the Offenders numbered home. Seeing no lights on inside the home with her brilliant eyes, Octavian gave a low chirp and Empire immediately understood, still requesting her to halt in front of the door.
The Shrieker was silent as he stepped forwards, taking out one of many, many folded envelopes sealed with wax, imprinted with the mark of the Prophet - and Xoxdar himself. Pushing the hood from the black riding cloak from his head, his black hair mussed from the fierce wind, Empire pulled a pin from a small case in his bag and pinned it the envelope to the thick, wooden door. Octavian clicked and chirped sharply from behind him, and Empire automatically reached out through the mental bond he shared with the female dragon as he pushed the pin more firmly into the door.
Soon, he came back to his dragon and held out his hand. She zipped forwards again with a purr-like sound in her throat, gently clapsing his tan hand in between short, sharp teeth with an affectionate squeeze that left little teeth marks in his skin. He didn't say anythout out loud, just reached out and stroked her long muzzle with his free hand before taking his hand back and mounting her again, clicking his tongue twice. She zipped off right away, her nostril flaring dramatically as she zapped back and forth in search of the Ghouls.
Octavians' wings flared as she swept up and down streets with her signature Jumni speed, chirping and clicking as a warning to citizens walking along. She was easily seen through the mist, but many weren't paying attention as the Shrieker raced around, finding the hands of the Ghouls. The Prophet recieved a very, very important message from Xoxdar, and he was supposed to alert the authorities before anything happened - his urgency was shared with Octavian, who began chirping and chattering even more loudly.
Finally, the Shrieker found a few that could help him - A Ghoul and several Militia Members. He narrowed his thoughts towards then, and Octavious let out a long, eerie chirp-like song to alert them and snag their attention. The bright red dragon dove down, pulling up just in time as Empire slid from the natural saddle, his heavy black leather boots landing heavily but gracefully on the ground. "From the Prophet," he said, his voice deep and dark to match his black eyes and tall, strong build as he reached into his bag, withdrawing several of the wax-sealed envelopes and handing one to the Ghoul, then several of the Militia Memebers.
Each envelope had a single sheet of off-white paper, but there was not writting - rather, there was a simple drawing. A battle - with dragons and armor, fire and rain. One side was The Hallowed Ravagers, the other was The Ruby Regiment. "The Prophet says Xoxdar demands more training," Empire rumbled, and Octavian clickered and chirped in agreement, winging her tail protectively around her riders' feet. "Take a sweep of the Homestead," he continued the message, "and find every fifteen year old who hasn't been to training. Xoxdar needs warriors soon."
