I can't drink because swallowing my ear pops. And the pop hurts so much. It's just like... numb, but numb in a painful sort of way. The inside of it is wet, and I have a hot pillow thing next to me, but it isn't helping. I took some medicine earlier, and it doesn't hurt as much, but when I woke up this morning, the pain was killing me. I'm actually terrified for the medicine to wear off. I can only have a bit more of the medicine today so I'll save it for when I go to sleep. I want to cry and I am crying. I feel ill because I'm scared of waking up in the morning and the medicine wearing off.
It's probably an ear infection, but I've never had an ear infection this bad before. It hurts so much. I'm hungry, and I can't eat because of the popping thing. I can barely even drink, but I have to force myself if I want to stay healthy. This morning, I was screaming because of how bad it was and I could barely even take the medicine. I don't want that to happen again. Please tell me how to get rid of the earache, I don't want to stay up all night because I'm scared of waking up
Also I can't even yawn because it pops and I was up at 6 in the morning after going to sleep at 3 am. I don't want to nap, i'm scared of waking up. Id rather have it slowly get worse than wake up when it's really painful
And last thing, I smell really ill. Like I showered and all but I still smell ill. Don't know if that's cause my nose is blocked or not. I have a cold and it just occured to me I'm going to sneeze and i'm scared
Please tell me how to get rid of it

if it's that bad, I really recommend seeing a doctor about it. in the meantime, treat it as you would any other infection. take painkillers, get plenty of rest. even if you're afraid of waking up in more pain, I really recommend sleeping as much as possible. that will give your body a better chance of fighting the infection. drink plenty of water, eat if you can. liquid foods might be easier, try soup or smoothies or juice. anything with energy, really. something's better than nothing. if just opening your jaw is painful, try a straw. you won't have to open half as wide that way. for the pain a warm flannel is good, you can put that right next to your ear in a way that you can't really do with a pillow. if the pillow isn't working, I'd recommend trying that. in the end, though, the best you can really do is everything to help your body fight it as quickly as possible.
I really hope it gets better soon. I haven't had an ear infection since I was tiny but they really suck

Yeah, go to the doctor. Sounds kinda of like an upper respiratory infection with a side of ear infection. You should get it checked out before pneumonia comes for dessert.

I'll go if it doesn't stop tomorrow cause my parents are convinced think it's an ear infection or part of the cold ;/ Thanks anyway though!
