I'm just super physically exhausted from today. I had my regular 9: -5 job, but I left early because of a cardiologist appointment this afternoon. So I was on my feet all morning helping clients and then ended up having to run on a treadmill a LOT faster than I'm used to for intervals for my "stress test". The tests came back positive though so that's one good thing, no heart problems for this chick aside from one benign heart murmur. Then I ended up shopping for MORE PLANTS with my mum, which adds another hour plus of walking around Plus the heat here has just been super intense all day, like high 90's for you Fahrenheit people, or 33-35 degrees Celsius On top of it all my precious fish is seemingly sick and may die within the next few days if I can't save him Just a general warning I'm not really looking for advice or anything, I've tried a ton/researched online/did a water/filter change, tried crushing up his food, buying fresh food, everything. He's just really down the past couple days, kinda slumps around and is refusing to eat. So I'm just stressed about that and hate even leaving him for work in the mornings (even though I know "my fish is really sick" is a horrible excuse for a 21 year old to not show up at work) Please talk to me, before I collapse under this mass of exhaustion? K thnx frens

@batman
No worries, I don't mind talking about it! It's technically the result of a cardiac issue I had as an infant. It went away for awhile, seems to have resurfaced but it's not harming my heart at all at this point/basically it just makes it sound funny when you listen in with the stethoscope xD
Watching the electrocardiograms they did on me today was really cool, ngl

Is that the one where they put the cold gel on your chest and do the live scan of your heart beating and all that? I've gotten that a couple times and it's sweet to watch if that's what you're talking about. Luckily mine has no issues either except for the weird noise and one other thing but it's so minor and barely detectable.

I do too. Is your regurgitation basically negligible? The last test I had done was about 5 years ago and now that im older i have so many questions to ask the doctor but im not due for another couple years and i have no reason to go in earlier.

ah thanks! So i've been told that the biggest issue with the bicuspid valve, at least with me, is that it loses efficiency compared to the normal tricuspid because every time it opens to let blood through, a tiny amount of blood "regurgitates", or isn't allowed to pass, and it's only becomes bad if there's enough blood backflowing. idk if you have the same deal so im just explaining what i've been told. my biggest question was going to be about normal cardio (like running along a mountain trail) and intense cardio (like going hard on an elliptical at the gym), and like how safe it is to do intense cardio stuff on a regular basis. They said no super heavy weightlifting like bodybuilding, but they never touched on cardio, and the internet doesn't give any solid consistent answers. i also wanted to ask how they do the heart valve transplants if the worst happens and it has to be replaced, and what the success rates on those are.

Now, I lead a very active lifestyle. Hiking, mountain climbing(I live near the mountains), biking, dance, gymnastics, running, and going to the gym. Intense cardio is a very big part of my life. If you don't know for sure, I wouldn't do too much cardio until you can get to a doctor. Until then, I'd stick to about 60 minutes of cardio daily. Always have someone nearby in case something bad happens. ( i am prone to fainting because of my valve) Don't go outside to workout alone if you can help it. I don't know anything about transplants. ✶ɪᴄ-

Well that's not bad news! I didn't know it could be linked to fainting, i might ask about why that is if i remember when i go back.
