Like that feeling where someone does something so awkward or embarrassing that you feel embarrassed for them? Or sometimes it's just the feeling of "oh gosh that could've been me but thank goodness it's not".
For me it's the hosts on my local radio morning show. I listen to it pretty much every morning on my drive to work, but sometimes they just say or do the dumbest things? Pretty sure one of them was doing a full on impression of a squirrel talking for a good 3 mins yesterday xD So that gave me some second-hand embarrassment

I cringe when I see people I know feeling or being awkward with other people-- I always wish I could save them. Also, whenever people are rude or get mad at people I know/generally like, I feel this uncomfortable mix of awkwardness, sympathy, and burning indignation.

OOC Scenes in movies, shows, or books.
Also when I have to write my characters doing something cringe-y. I get so much second hand embarrassment from my own characters.

definitely happens to me in movies or shows too, usually when a character is third-wheeling in a scene. looking at you daredevil season two.

When I'm at a friend's house and one of their parents comes in and starts yelling at them for something right in front of me so I have to pretend like I'm not there and oh those are some lovely curtains you've got there hm
