"I'm not Spock, I'm just frustrated with the hand I've been given, by what we've been given." McCoy sighed. "I just don't know, I just don't. And I suppose all of all of us have something to patch up. Whether we like it or not." He watched Jim stand up.
Abby groaned having sat up, and really not in the mood for guests. "What?" She asked, in other words her way of saying come on in. Even after all this time, she still had a love of early twenty-first music, including country. At the moment she had music blasting, having already played It Don't Hurt Like It Used to, and it was just now starting on Better Man. And the current music was matching her mood pretty well.

"How would I even contact you? I don't have a name to go off of. And besides, I guess, I'll have to learn to fight, in the first place." She sighed, not realizing she had let that out of the bag. "It's all a learning curve, I'm still learning about my power just like with dealing with the slightly above average street criminal. I assume...." Kate sighed. "If your city really needs us, the Professor has his ways of finding out. Oh, I'm Logan, if that's what you meant." He shrugged a little. "Fighting is something most people can get pretty quickly..." He nodded a little. "Yeah... I went through what you were going through a while back... It's pretty rough, especially when the competition gets better..." |

(It's completely fine, a few days ago I took a bad wipeout on my kneeboard while boating. I got whiplash my parents took me to the hospital then my neck is healing there's no major damage so I kind of know how you feel. It's getting back to normal.) "You're right, Bones. And I need to go fix what I've done now." James replied, then headed out of the cantina and towards Abby's room. He figured that's where they were going, from the direction they turned. When he got there, Cam had already gone in.
Cam hesitated when Abby replied, then went inside the room, walking just a few steps in.

(I'm doing better now, I have the majority of my mobility back in my neck, but my head is still bothering me.... I'm just taking it slow.)
"Well, I guess we should all get the glitches out sooner than later." McCoy sighed. He stood and not quite ambled slowly after his friend, after having stood up.
"Come to join the broken heart club, Cam? Or as i like to call it the stupid club?" Abby sarcastically stated and asked with a huge sigh.

Sometimes you just gotta take stuff slow) Jim nodded a little when he heard his friend. He continues down the hall, retracing his earlier path from when he chased Abby. Spock watched the two humans get up and leave, then left as well, a little behind McCoy. He knew he should go, in case things got out of hand. Cam laughed a little at that, relaxing some and walking in closer. "I guess so..." She hesitated, then finally asked what she had been wondering. "Did our so wonderful captain stop contacting you after you left?" |

"Actually, kind of. He can read minds. He's got some kind of fancy room he goes in and it makes his power stronger so he can read just about anyone's mind. Sometimes he uses that power to find people." Logan smiled a little. "Yeah, that's true. Nice to meet you Kate."

Kate's eyes widened in shock and her jaw dropped open slightly. "That's... That's a new one for sure. Yea, well it's nice to know not everyone is out to get me or the city...." She got out, before closing her mouth in thought. "I'm guessing you have came across at least a few metas in your time?"

"Well, then welcome." Kate sighed, taking a moment to answer, and wipe her eyes of the evidence of her being upset. Though her eyes still glistened slightly. "As far as I know he didn't even try. And if I had tried, I would have been in the same position as with a guy that I met in high school once he graduated and I still had a year left."

Cam smiled slightly. "Thanks..." She noticed the tears and lost her smile, becoming concerned for her friend. "Oh... Well... Maybe that... Wouldn't be the case?" She suggested, knowing it may not have been true. "Honestly though, he could have contacted you first just as easily. That's stupid that he didn't." She shook her head some. She was indirectly talking about herself, feeling guilty and stupid for not replying to McCoy often.
James got to the door first, ringing the buzzer. "Abby...? Can we talk?"

"Trust me, we were almost in the same place as Jim and I were when we left." She sighed and looked away for a moment. Abby's eyes widened slightly. "What the heck do I do?" She asked whispered, just enough for the women to hear her, but not for the guys to hear over the music.
"I believe the correct course of action would be to open the door." T'Aimnu stated, knowing that the door would open with her saying that.
Abby looked like she could kill the woman for doing that. "T'Aimnu...." She nearly growled, standing up and putting her back to the door.

Abby still had her back to the door, wiping what evidence she could of her tears, but it would still show her crying. Ironically, Peter Pan ended and Better Man could be easily heard without trying in the room.

Jim noticed she was wiping away tears and stiffened a little, losing his smile. "Abby..?" Is all he could get out. God had he messed up. This has really messed with her.

Abby still had her back to James, all the fight she had before, was gone. She took a breath and sighed, turning her slightly just enough barely see and not see James. Just enough for James to slightly see the outline of her face, that the slight bump of her nose had grown even given the high tech medicine of their time, in her time away due varying incidents. "What is it?" Her voice wavered slightly, not sure what to call Kirk, Captain, James, Jim, Kirk.....
McCoy came into the room, just long enough to the end of Peter Pan, taking a moment to listen to the song, and grimaced, keeping any pained noise from making it out of his mouth. However his face didn't hide the fact the song was about breaking up and so was the following song. It took a moment but the notion of Abby taking the song and the guy the girl left behind was Jim.

He hated seeing her without any fight. This wasn't Abby, and he was at least partly to blame for this. "I want to try and make things better..." Spock walked in and nearly grimaced at the song as well, but the irony did not visibly change his face in any way. He noticed T'Aimnu was in the room as well, then quickly looked at Jim and Abby, trying to pretend he hadn't seen the other Vulcan. Cam watched Abby and Kirk. She looked like she was deciding between awkwardly sliding out of the situation, or punching Kirk in the face. |

Abby visibly flinched at the song that came on. She didn't mean for Kirk to hear this particular playlist, well maybe when they broke up. If they had ever gotten together in the first place. "Computer music off." She stated and sighed, her chin resting her chest. "James, I'm not sure that's wise. I want to, but I'm not the same person that I was when I first boarded this ship, let alone when I was stationed here." She said in a fairly quiet tone. Sighing once more, but not wanting to reveal the evidence of her tears, she knew she had to turn around. And she did, she just didn't realized the jungle that her room had become, with everyone standing around. There was glare that could vaporize water and ice, let alone kill. Abby also had an eyebrow raised. "So when did my room become ground-zero for a zoo and a war?" She asked, muster enough of a persona and emotional energy to somewhat return to the attitude that she had on the Bridge. Though not as cool and it came out tired.
Once the music quit, T'Aimnu realized that this would become very personal very quick. However she didn't move, until Abby turned around and glared at nearly everyone. She raised an eyebrow, but dipped her head briefly and stood. "Excuse me." Softly stating that, T'Aimnu quickly but at the same made her way out agonizingly slow out of the room. She made eye contact with Abby to make sure that if she needed anything to call her.
McCoy nearly took a hissing breath in, once Abby turned around. Her time away from the Enterprise did not do anything for her. However that glare, was definitely chilly, but not as bad as the bridge. He stood there like a deer in the headlights, not sure what Abby meant by her room becoming a zoo even after T'Aimnu exited.

At that, Kate outright laughed. "Yea, well at this point, I'm just trying to get faster so the human eye... So that won't happen. Not that I'm training much really. It took some time after I woke up that for it to appear. And let me tell you. It was a heck of ride for them to appear." She shook her head, memories of the time coming back. "Then it took a couple of months for me to go through with the whole thing."

James sat in silence, even after the music was off. When she finally spoke, it took him a while to respond. "... I know... No one is the same person they were when you were first stationed here, but how your acting now isn't you. I know what I did was wrong, and that I've obviously hurt you, but I want to some how mend what happened." He tried to sound calm and reasonable, acting like he was on a diplomatic mission right now. He saw the glare, and the evidence of tears on Abby's face, and flinched slightly because of it. He didn't leave though, or move, even after T'Aimnu, Spock and Cam left. He just stood there in silence, not holding eye contact with anyone in particular.
Spock watched the events unfold in silence, not reacting to any of it. The glare didn't seem to faze the Vulcan. Nothing seem to, really. He looked like he was studying one of his science experiments right now. When he saw T'Aimnu exit, he decided to turn and follow her. He needed to correct his actions just as much as James did. "T'Aimnu. May I speak with you?" He called out after he left.
Cam looked a little surprised when James practically apologized. She looked even more surprised at the glare and comment from Abby. She watched the two Vulcans leave before leaving as well. She shot a glance first at Abby, looking concerned for her friend, then saw McCoy. The woman decided she should do the same as James, apologize for what she had done, so she stopped next to McCoy. "I... Can I talk with you? Outside?"

McCoy trailed after Spock slightly. Once out of the room, Bones looked back at Cam. He took a breath, and then spoke. "I was going to ask you the same thing." He stated a bit nervously. "Maybe in some where a little less public, please?" He nodded to the occasional passerby.
T'Aimnu stopped and tilted her head, then turned to the Vulcan. "I assume that we should act as the 'adults' of everyone, as Abigail would say. And show what could be possible." She looked around calmly for a moment. "Where?" She replied.
Abby headed to her bed, with a slightly pained expression. She sat down and once again put her chin on her collarbone to look at the ground. "James..." She sighed, not sure what to say, but at the same time she knew what she wanted to say, but just not how to say it. She let a dry chuckle out, and leaned back by putting her hands behind her, but not before taking her boots off. "I'm not sure that happen. I'm different beyond the Enterprise. I've did stuff in the name of the Federation that..." She by this time looked at him and shook her head and looked away. "Best not go that way." She murmured softly and took a deep breath to zone out while looking at her boots. "Goes beyond you Kirk. Beyond the Enterprise, beyond boy problems, sort of." It took her another few moments to speak, even then she started with a dry chuckle of irony. "Oh what I would have given before I left the ship to be in a loving relationship and to have you in my quarter and we wouldn't be talking. And look where we're at and now that's the farthest thing from my mind." She added softly. "James, if you're trying to talk to the woman you knew, I'm not sure she'll ever be back or even show an appearance. If you knew where she disappeared to, I would love to get her back." She took another breath to speak in an even softer tone, after a fairly odd attempt of sarcastic humor.
"James, I'm not sure you want to be around me anymore. I don't think T'Aimnu even knows the full story of who I am. I'm..." She shook her head to ward off the next round of tears that she could feel burning in her eyes. "I'm partially broken. I don't want to use that term, but that the closest to what I feel. God, tears have always my enemy but now it's even worse." She mumbled, wiping her eyes. Now ashamed that she had slightly worked for what Kirk had condemned when he first made captain after the whole Augments incident. Abby curled in on herself slightly by pull her legs up on the bed and not quite tuck them underneath her behind.
