Just picked up these two female regal jumping spiders. Please try to ignore the fast food restaurant straws lol. I was originally going to put twigs but I'm paranoid about collecting them from outdoors, even if I bake and boil them first. Second picture is the color difference between the two.

Also I put the pictures backwards in the second one. The one on the left in the bottom picture is actually the spider on the right in the top picture.

I literally saw the "regal" part of the species and immediately jumped to historical princesses
So Hattie (short for Hashepsut) and Cleo (short for Cleopatra), 2 Egyptian princesses xD

Thanks for the suggestions guys. (:
My mom suggested Wubbzy and Walden since I already have a bird named Widget. My brother says I should name them Dead and Squished lol. He's pretty scared of spiders.

Thanks! Walden and Widget are actually boys in the show I think, but it doesn't matter too much imo. The bird that we named after Widget is a boy even though Widget in the show is a girl.

Also besides the super weird names that I've used, most of the names I've chosen have been from kids tv shows. I even have a whole list of names for my future pets lol.
No one lets me name animals so they have to be completely mine for me to be allowed to name them though. ):

Just being nosy, but are those real leaves the lil babies are resting on? Or synthetic ones? I just wondered if they were indeed fake because my Betta has a similar "synthetic" leaf in his tank he uses as a hammock ^.^

✨ Տեმɾ✨ Nope, it's all fake. Real leaves would eventually just crumble up and die (plus I'm usually against collecting stuff from outdoors), and a whole live plant wouldn't really be able to grow in the containers they're in. Although I have considered doing bioactive set ups for some of my reptiles, it would be a lot of money wasted if I wasn't able to keep them alive. I kind of have a brown thumb lol.

falconfire I can understand that. I was never scared of "bugs" in general, but I used to be scared of a few feeder insects. Mainly crickets and mealworms/superworms. Honestly, laziness got me over my fear. I was always too lazy to find my tongs so I always had to pick them up with my hands lol. Although I still hate crickets. Not in a fearful way, but they are just annoying to keep and feed off, plus can transfer so many parasites so I don't even use them anymore. Jumping spiders are a good start for people trying to get over their fears though, not only are they super cute, but they're one of the most intelligent arachnids and each one has their own personality just like cats and dogs. @aquathepiplup Thanks. (: I love spiders and arachnids in general. We mostly keep tarantulas, but we also have a black widow and now these two jumping spiders. Plus plenty of scorpions lol.

Thank you! Bleak She's actually the more shy one, but more friendly in a way. The other one will come up to the front of the cage to see me, but she'll attack everything that moves because she's always hungry.
