Seahorse didn’t feel like doing anything today. The sea currents were warm around her, lulling her into a lethargic state. Her front half hanging off the ledge of her sea cave, the young dragon lazily watched the bustle of marine life as it moved around her. Her scales slowly changed color, mimicking each creature she laid eyes on. It was a sort of game she invented to pass the time- make yourself look like the next type of fish you see. However, looking at all these fish was starting to make her hungry. Sighing to herself, Seahorse pulled herself to her feet. If you want to eat, she told herself, you have to catch it yourself. So the dragon set off with a few powerful strokes of her webbed talons, intent on filling her stomach and returning to sleep some more.

(Yeah, I cheated on that one. I'm feeling not very inspired, so I won't have any more starters up until a bit later, unfortunately D: )

Agave followed Jackal into the abandoned building, continuously glancing behind them to make sure they weren't being followed. Jackal didn't look back at all, as far as he could tell. Shaking his had slightly, Agave followed the older dragon, slipping into the abandoned building behind him. After listening to what he had to say, Agave took a seat on the rotting floor of the old house. "Oh?" he asked, meeting Jackal's eyes firmly. "And what would that be?" Jackal | Sand Kingdom
Jackal practically rolled his eyes at the other dragon. "I can't disclose much right now," he started, remembering his parent's warnings on giving to much information away. "But it includes taking an item of great importance." The SandWing felt his talons scrape against the stone floor nervously. Agave was essential for the particular heist his parent had in mind. If he didn't bite, the whole thing could fall apart. I think he'll bite though, his mind decided. He knew the town well. If a dragon came in looking for hits without a major employer they never found any jobs. It looked like Agave might have had some trouble with that very thing.
"If you choose to take it," he continued, trying not to seem lost in his thoughts. "I cannot disclose much more information until the rest of the crew is gathered." His parents had chosen well. If everyone they chose agreed to the job then maybe there would be an actual chance of it succeeding. Or it could fail miserably, his mind reminded him. That'll be the most probable outcome.

"Hmph," Agave grunted, trying to glean any hint of information from Jackal's face. Not knowing what he was getting into scared him a bit. He assumed his employers had a good reason to keep information from him, which only made him more suspicious of the job he might be agreeing to. "You know I don't do killings," he responded after a moment, steadily holding Jackal's gaze with a somewhat unnerving stare. "If it involves that, I'm out."

Aurora was already swamped with work today. Between the reports from the 3rd circle she had to finish and the dragonets finishing their training she had to oversee, she basically had no time to herself. As she rushed down the hallways of the palace, she heard a slight shuffling from her daughter's room. Tentatively, Aurora knocked on the door. "Hey Shard?" she asked cautiously. "You in there?"

Gale was flying around, his mind not occupied by any thought in particular. It was just the kind of day he found perfect to laze about and do nothing much at all. He was a little ways out from his home, and his eyes lazily scanned the ground for any sign of prey. Not that he would hunt it. That'd be too much work for a lazy day like this. Although he was getting a little bit hungry...

Jackal shifted his weight to his back talons nervously. "Well," he started his voice more shaken than he'd wanted. "I can't guarantee anything." It was true. The plan had left a lot up to chance, and if a guard happened to spot someone in thew crew. Well, they couldn't risk the entire heist due to Agave's strange morals. "All I can tell you is that we will not be actively trying to kill other dragons." It was the best he could give his friend, and even to the criminal it sounded weak. You need to learn how to twist the truth better, his mother's words echoed in his ears. Nobody's going to want to work for us if all you feed them is the truth.
Jackal felt his snout wrinkle indignantly, knowing fully well that her voice was just in his head. There were just somethings that his parents would never understand about him. From his point of view, the SandWing would argue that if he told them the truth than they be more trusting and agreeable for later missions. That's why we've used Agave more than once, he thought proudly, though he was so sure the other dragon would appreciate the phrasing. Fennec let me hook him without her advise beforehand. Now he's one of our go to thieves.

Scorch | Sand Kingdom
In the Kingdom of Sand, Scorch was out searching for poisons. Her masquerade as a common healer would have given her at least a month in her new home, but with more assassins than loyal customers reaching out to her, she wasn't sure she had the guts required for the job. Of course she had been expecting some requests for poisons, there were always some in her line of business. And yet, in the two weeks she'd been in town all her stores of snakeroot and nightshade were completely empty. If I keep this up, I'm going to have some kind of reputation, she thought her talons reaching out for more precious leaves. The healer who can get you whatever you want. She didn't even need to use her powers. Most of the locals asked for plants that they easily could have found in the dessert themselves.
But what scared the SandWing the most was the fact that she would use her powers in a heartbeat if it meant retrieving an item for one of her customers. Aiding criminals are you now? Her mother voice hissed in her mind. What happened to that 'I'm a good dragon' point of view you had oh so many years ago. Shuddering, the dragoness tried to shake the thoughts away. It had been years since she'd left her family, and yet they always found ways to haunt her in the depths of her mind.
Satisfied that she'd gathered enough 'herbs', the dragon lifted of into the sky. Her eyes gracefully scanned the horizon for Paradise- or as the locals called it Fools Paradise. The town was close enough to the SandWing palace that it attracted tons of diplomats and emissaries from the other tribes . Of course, this also attracted hundreds of assassins and criminals. No place better for a healer, she thought her talons finally touching down on the outskirts of the city. No better place to lay low for a couple of months.
