| Princess Sahara | SandWing | Female | 12 | | Sahara is much thinner than most SandWings. She was clearly not built for battle, and is quite dainty and delicate. Her scales are a pale, almost white, sandy color, and her eyes are the usual SandWing ebony-brown. She has a few darker speckles scattered across her snout. Despite being an heir to the SandWing throne, the only jewelry she regularly wears is a simple amber pendant strung from a thin, golden chain around her neck, and a golden bangle on her left wrist. Not a single scar spoils her complexion. | Sahara is definitely not a talons-on type of dragon. She would rather sit back, comfortably protected by her royal status, and watch other SandWings do the dirty work. Not that she’d ever had a dishonorable thought in her life, certainly not. She has no taste for battle or violence of any kind; simple royal duties suit her much better. Sahara is rather self-conscious about her looks, and often has to check herself with a mirror to make sure she hadn’t gotten anything filthy or unpleasant on herself. Likewise, Sahara hates being dirty. A little bit of sand on her scales doesn’t bother her, but a lot… that was another story. She hates attending lively celebrations, as she thinks they are awfully uncivilized, but she thinks a formal dinner is satisfactory. Sahara always acts calm and orderly, never wanting to raise her voice for any reason. | Growing up, Sahara was coddled and pampered to the point where she came to the belief that she naturally deserved to get whatever she wanted. She never takes “no” for an answer, and gets extremely irritated whenever any dragon treats her less then perfectly. However, Sahara has no interest in becoming queen. She expects one of her other sisters or relatives to take that matter into their own talons, not wanting too much responsibility and burden dropped on her shoulders. But, if her mother was ever to die or become unable to rule any longer, and she was the only one left to rule, she supposes she would have to reluctantly give in. | Sahara is a SandWing princess. | Maplestone360 |
| Jay | SkyWing | Male | 10 | | Unlike his other siblings, Jay isn’t particularly muscular or tough. Instead, he is rather undersized and thin, despite being a fully-grown SkyWing. However, he is quite a nimble flyer, being able to make quick twists and turns due to his small size. His strength is average… for a non-soldier, at least. He wouldn’t want to pick a fight with one of those large, fierce SkyWings any day. His scales are a dark crimson color, like a blood-red garnet. His eyes are bright amber, and his wings are large and agile. He has a long scar running from his shoulder to his side from a scuffle he lost when he was younger, which he doesn’t like to speak of. He wears a small jay feather hung from a simple, inexpensive hoop earring that he cherishes like an irreplaceable treasure. | Jay isn’t a very outgoing SkyWing. He is quite shy and introverted, and prefers not to talk to other dragons when he can help it. He isn’t the best at understanding his emotions, and often all he can do is suppress them rather than try to find their meaning. Because, when he isn’t consciously keeping the stronger of his feelings under control, they can come out in chaotic ways he doesn’t expect. He learned that lesson when he was a dragonet, and it had ended in a fight that gave him his scar. He can’t take the time to think about his emotions when his head is screaming “Danger! Bad! Hide your feelings! Don’t let them out!”, so he simply tucks them away where they can’t hurt any dragon and sticks to the shy, distant, young SkyWing as a mask to stay hidden. This has led him to get used to his shell and grow to believe that it’s really who he is, and that the sensitive, insecure dragon beneath doesn’t exist. | Jay was born the youngest of a small, poor family of soldiers that lived closer to the outskirts of the Sky Kingdom than to the palace. His siblings often call him “Twig” for being the youngest and smallest, and his parents, who never pay much attention to him, don’t seem to think of him any better. But Jay has learned not to mind very much; as long as he’s allowed to keep to himself, he isn’t bothered by the fact that his family doesn’t really like him. When his older brother, Tempest, was thrown out of the family, Jay didn’t give much thought to it, besides hoping that he’d never have to endure that much dishonor. | Tempest is his brother. | Maplestone360 |
| Ripple | SeaWing | Female | 9 | | Ripple may not be the biggest SeaWing in the ocean, but she sure is strong. She inherited her sleekness from her mother and her well-muscled build from her father, making her a quick, yet deadly opponent who is not to be messed with. Her scales are a deep, bluish purple color, which are soft, yet tough as an oyster’s shell. Her underscales are a paler blue-purple, and her horns are dark and curved. The glow-in the-dark stripes that run along her body are a pale pink, and her eyes are bright, seaweed green. She doesn’t have any noticeable scars. | Ripple is a very cheerful dragon in nature. Although she is usually very calm and laid-back, she can always come up with a joke to share to make a dragon laugh. And, while some dragons can be secretive and difficult to read, Ripple is like an open scroll. Her emotions almost always show, but she never lets unkind words get to her, and believes she can accomplish whatever she wants. She is usually quite kind and helpful to other SeaWings, but occasionally one can get on her nerves, although she doesn’t do much about it other than annoy them in return. Ripple is very loyal to her tribe, and will do whatever it takes to protect them. | Ripple was born the daughter of two important soldiers in Queen Pearl’s army, so her name is relatively known among the tribe. She isn’t very popular, though, as some of the more serious soldiers don’t appreciate her feisty attitude. She is happy with her current position, though, and hopes to one day be a soldier like her parents. | Anyone can join with her parents if they’d like! | Maplestone360 |
| Prince Tangerine | RainWing | Male | 7 months | | Tangerine is a tiny little thing. Unlike his mother, everything about him is round, soft, and innocent looking. His fangs, from which all RainWings shoot their deadly venom, have not yet finished developing, and look quite the opposite of dangerous. His ever-changing scales, when not displaying the colors of his emotions, often shift between vibrant shades of orange, lime green, and yellow, resembling many of the juicy, plump fruits of the rainforest. His eyes—yellow, with subtle hints of bright green—are the color of nearly ripe bananas. Unlike some other RainWings, he is a bit clumsy, but he thinks it’s merely because he’s still young. The dragonet can barely fly yet, and one of his favorite thing to do is practice his skills with his wings in the RainWing wingeries. | Just as his appearance suggests, Tangerine isn’t at all fierce. Some even say that he’s about as ferocious as a sunbathing sloth. He is, however, very talkative and outgoing, and he loves to make foolish jokes to cause other dragonets to laugh. He prefers to be in the center of attention, and hates it when other dragons ignore him. The closest he gets to being violent is playfully wrestling with other dragonets his size, and trying to beat said dragonets in various competitions such as flying races and hide-and-seek. He isn’t the best speaker, and often mixes up his words and composes strange sentences. Possibly the only thing he has in common with his mother is the fact that he thinks that RainWings are the best tribe in Pyrrhia, and that other tribes have no business trying to challenge them. | Despite being born the prince of the RainWings, Tangerine doesn’t act the least bit royal. The thought of ruling his tribe has never once crossed his mind, both because he is still quite young to think or even care about those topics, and simply because he’s male. He does think that his mother is the best queen in Pyrrhia, though, and hopes that she’ll never have to leave her throne. | He is Queen Bengal’s son. | Maplestone360 |
| Freeze | IceWing | Male | 8 | | Freeze, although being more on the tall side of dragons, is quite slender and lithe. At first glance, he may appear insignificant and weak, and is often overlooked, but he has much more strength than most others know. His scales are the common shade of pale, icy blue, and his eyes are a deep, dark indigo. His underscales and wing membranes fade to a snowy white, and the spikes that run along his spine are pale, yet darker than his scales. His claws, four times sharper than the claws of dragons of other tribes, are perfect for cutting into ice. Everything about his appearance is pointed and sharp: far from being anywhere close to soft and round. His scales carry no scars, except for a small, unnoticeable one above his right eye. | Freeze isn’t one to talk very much. It isn’t that he’s shy, just that he doesn’t have much to say. But when he does speak, it isn’t uncommon to hear a cutting remark or an impatient grumble. He isn’t the kindest dragon out there. He usually acts relatively subdued around other dragons, but he has his exceptions. Deep down, he has a small soft spot for his family and those he knows well, but he rarely lets it show. A dragon would have to be very perceptive to know that he cares. | Freeze lives in a small village off to the coast of the Ice Kingdom peninsula, southwest to the queen’s palace. The village focuses primarily on fishing, and is mostly secluded to the rest of Pyrrhia. Freeze is one of the fishers—cutting through the ice and catching the biggest prey to bring back to the others. He lives with his mother and father and his sister, Floe. | Feel free to jump in with his parents! Although, I might type up a form for Floe—haven’t decided on that yet. | Maplestone360 |
| Foresight | NightWing | Female | 7 | | Foresight is a small, young NightWing who’s barely more than a dragonet. Some dragons might even still see her as such—too young and foolish to make rational decisions—although she tries her hardest not to appear that way. Her scales are a dark, ebony black with subtle hints of emerald green, and her eyes are the color of rainforest leaves. Her features are soft and round and her pale horns are slightly blunt. She has a faint, psychic ability to see the future, although not much of it. Therefore, she is usually ignored and looked past to the more experienced seers in the tribe. | Foresight is quite the soft-spoken dragon. Despite this, she is very friendly, and loves to talk to other dragons her age. She regards her visions as the utmost importance, taking every detail seriously, even though they are often nothing more than what the weather would be like the next day or what she would eat for breakfast. Unlike some other NightWings, she doesn’t think too highly of herself, and is content with the way she is (although, she does wish other dragons wouldn’t ignore her visions). She’s very curious: eager to be involved in things such as political matters and important meetings, although she usually has no idea what’s going on. She dislikes being involved in violence of any kind, however, and, although she likes to try and get involved in discussions of the next battle, she never actually takes part in the fight. | Foresight lives with her parents near the Great Diamond, as her parents are both members of the royal council. Despite her parents’ profession, she doesn’t have a drop of royal blood in her body. She enjoys trying to sneak into council meetings with her parents when she can, but is often unsuccessful. | Anyone can claim her parents if they’d like! c: I’d love to roleplay with them. | Maplestone360 |

Agave made his way through the marketplace, careful to avoid making content with any of the dragons moving around him. When he woke up this morning, he had received a note from a possible employer. Unfortunately, the note left no clearer instructions than ‘Meet in the marketplace in Paradise when the sun is at its highest point.’ Still, he supposed he had followed the instructions as well as he could. Absentmindedly lifting a few coins from a passerby’s purse, Agave stopped by a few of the dragon’s stalls, pretending to take in interest in what they were selling. However, all his senses were focused on finding his mysterious visitor.
(That’s for Jackal.) _____
Serenity was alone in the cave today. Her brother was off on a brief 'trip'- also known as 'The Queen requires her mind readers for some distant convoluted task she can't be bothered to do herself'. Serenity sighed quietly, resting her head on her talons. The Queen often asked one of the twins to be her reader, even though they weren't part of her staff. Maybe it was just easy to take advantage of the two young dragons without parents. Serenity had promised herself countless times that she would stand up to the Queen, but it never happened. She just couldn't muster enough courage to speak up. It was unusually quiet. Not even the faint buzz of Clarity's thoughts could be heard. The silence was starting to get to Serenity. She hated being separated, since they had been together basically their entire life. Shaking her head briskly, the young dragoness got to her feet and began pacing back and forth across the narrow expanse of the cave. She was reluctant to leave in case her brother came back, but just couldn't stay still with this much on her mind.
(That’s for anyone that wants to pop in with a Nightwing.) _____
Junco was in one of the RainWing hatcheries, checking eggs and making sure everything was alright. He always worried that something would go wrong with the eggs- one of them would crack, a jungle animal would come and steal them- those irrational thoughts that he still couldn’t push aside for some reason. Besides, being alone with just eggs was rather peaceful. Sighing slightly, he continued his inspection, careful not to step on a single egg.
(And that’s for our RainWings. I’ll get the Seahorse, Gale, and Aurora starters up soon, but I’ll hold off for now on Quagmire since no one else has a finished MudWing.)

Scorch | Sand Kingdom
In the Kingdom of Sand, Scorch was out searching for poisons. Her masquerade as a common healer would have given her at least a month in her new home, but with more assassins than loyal customers reaching out to her, she wasn't sure she had the guts required for the job. Of course she had been expecting some requests for poisons, there were always some in her line of business. And yet, in the two weeks she'd been in town all her stores of snakeroot and nightshade were completely empty. If I keep this up, I'm going to have some kind of reputation, she thought her talons reaching out for more precious leaves. The healer who can get you whatever you want. She didn't even need to use her powers. Most of the locals asked for plants that they easily could have found in the dessert themselves.
But what scared the SandWing the most was the fact that she would use her powers in a heartbeat if it meant retrieving an item for one of her customers. Aiding criminals are you now? Her mother voice hissed in her mind. What happened to that 'I'm a good dragon' point of view you had oh so many years ago. Shuddering, the dragoness tried to shake the thoughts away. It had been years since she'd left her family, and yet they always found ways to haunt her in the depths of her mind.
Satisfied that she'd gathered enough 'herbs', the dragon lifted of into the sky. Her eyes gracefully scanned the horizon for Paradise- or as the locals called it Fools Paradise. The town was close enough to the SandWing palace that it attracted tons of diplomats and emissaries from the other tribes . Of course, this also attracted hundreds of assassins and criminals. No place better for a healer, she thought her talons finally touching down on the outskirts of the city. No better place to lay low for a couple of months.
Jackal | Sand Kingdom
Jackal stood in a crowded marketplace waiting for his friend to show up. At least, he hoped that they were friends. He wasn't completely sure if the other dragon generally enjoyed his company or if he was secretly planning to kill him in his sleep. He was pretty sure it was the first. The sound of a squealing pig drew him from his rambling thoughts. The small creature had broken away from it's owner and was trying to make a run for it. Behind in, a dragon who could not have been more than four frantically chased it through the hordes. Sighing, Jackal returned his eyes to the face of his target preparing to approach. The sooner he got this over, the sooner he could retreat to somewhere quiet. Of course, his parents had dutifully explained that the noise of the market would easily drown out their conversation, but the SandWing didn't see the point if he could only hear half the other dragon's words. Rolling his wings back, he began to stalk towards Agave, confidence in his every step.
"Hey, Aggie!" he called pretending that the other dragon was more of a younger brother than a trained thief. "Ma and Da need your help with the house." The code slipped easily off his tongue. "They need your smaller size to fit between some beams and," he paused making sure the other dragon was listening. "Retrieve something they dropped."
Princess Shard | Ice Kingdom
For a princess with supposed plans for the throne, Shard was happy doing nothing. The Icewing had locked herself in her room, trying to avoid any unwanted attention. Although, her mind rebelled. I suppose not showing my face around might just rile more suspicion. Sighing the dragoness rose to her feet, her deadly claws scraping again the frozen floors as she paced back and forth. Though the day had just begun, already it seemed that too much weight had been dropped onto her shoulders. If only she hadn't been so foolish, telling that diplomat that she looked forward to working with him soon had only fueled the gossip of a challenge. Of course, she hadn't meant to imply anything with her words, but anything you say could be taken out of context.
A clatter of noise outside brought the young dragon to a frightened halt. Inhaling deeply, she prepared her freezing breath for any attack that may becoming. Maybe mother sent someone to kill me, she thought in the chilling silence that followed. Maybe she doesn't want to deal with a straight out challenge. And then an even more absurd thought popped into the princess's head. Maybe she doesn't think she could win. But as time wore on, it became evident that the noise was well- just a noise. Shaking her wings, the IceWing felt some of the tension release, but not nearly enough for her to stay safe. With a sigh, Shard headed to the door, wanting a bit of air to clear her head. Flinging it open she prepared herself for whatever sight would greet her.
Queen Pearl | Sea Kingdom
The Queen of the SeaWings sat idle in in her private study, her talons flipping through hundreds of papers. Perhaps her least favorite part of being queen was having to read through every report sent to the palace. A lazier queen would have just sent them of for an adviser to flip through, but Pearl was still on edge after the NightWing prophecy. It's been almost a week, we've seen nothing of it, the rational part of her mind thought. And yet, we have been having wild winds and waves larger than normal. Shaking her head the queen put down the military report she'd been skimming, directing her attention at the setting sun. What she wanted to do more than ever was go for a peaceful swim with her family. Heck, all she really wanted was to feel the tug of the water against her wings. Since she couldn't bring the paperwork down into the ocean, the dragoness had been stuck in the Island Palace was for almost the entire day. I feel like I'm going mad, she thought arching her back to stretch out her wings.
Maybe I can sneak out for a quick swim, she thought, looking at the remaining papers disgustedly. Without further time to debate the consequences, Pearl leaped into the air, her wings guiding her to the water's edge. It took everything within her not to look back at the palace, she had no time to worry about her work. Diving into the sea she flashed her scales joyfully at the sweet relief of water. I probably just scared one of the hapless dragonets who always hang around here, she thought, too happy to care. Hopefully I'll run into someone to talk to who doesn't spend half their time rambling about work, she thought with a smile. Though her advisers where nice dragons it seem like many of them were incapable of having a normal not-job-related conversation. With a sigh, the Queen of the SeaWings swam deeper into the ocean.

Agave nearly leaped out of his scales as Jackal appeared behind him. He knew the dragon from a few other jobs he had taken, most of which were rather small. Jackal was just the messenger for his gang leaders, but Agave still had no idea who they were. None of the jobs he had taken yet were so absurd as to make him question it. "Ah," he said carefully, scanning the crowd to make sure their conversation wasn't drawing too many watching eyes. Jackal was notorious for the way he made even carefully worded codes sound like the most interesting gossip in the Sand Kingdom. Luckily, not many dragons seemed to be paying much attention to them. "Those two at it again? I told you to invite me over me before they get into trouble next time." Sighing slightly, he rubbed his forehead. "Alright," he responded after a moment. "Let's go help them out, and you can tell me more about what's happened, alright?"

"Let's go help them out, and you can tell me more about what's happened, alright?" Jackal | Sand Kingdom
Jackal bit back a sigh when his friend heard him. It would certainly be more useful if Agave could properly react during these situations. If he were to slip up, Jackal's parents would not be so forgiving. He wrinkled his nose when the SandWing implied telling him where to meet to begin with. Jackal had asked his parents that very question early and their response was a reasonable one- if someone were to find and read the note they would only know the first location, not the second. Shaking his head Jackal simply said, "Come this way."
He led the fellow SandWing across a maze of street vendors and alleyways, until they were on the very outskirts of the town. Then, after checking no one else was around, slipped into an abandoned house. "Alright," he started, turning back to Agave. "I've got another mission for you." There was no use speaking in code at the remote location, it would just make the meeting last longer. "One that requires your specific skill sets."

(Okie, the Queen of the SandWings is named Pronghorn, because I just really love that name tbh. But I can't come up with a good NightWing Queen name. Any suggestions?) Hmn. NightWing names have always been hard to come up with, imo. :/ I like Pronghorn, though. It sounds nice. c: )

Agave followed Jackal into the abandoned building, continuously glancing behind them to make sure they weren't being followed. Jackal didn't look back at all, as far as he could tell. Shaking his had slightly, Agave followed the older dragon, slipping into the abandoned building behind him. After listening to what he had to say, Agave took a seat on the rotting floor of the old house. "Oh?" he asked, meeting Jackal's eyes firmly. "And what would that be?"
