Okay, so I recently woke up now at 4:35 AM to see that my nine year old nephew is still playing his game on the computer. My grandparents don't want to get involved, so I feel like it's up to me to do something, and if I know my sister, she'll yell at her son for staying up so late even though she allowed it to happen. This isn't the first time he's stayed up so late either. It's been going on for days now, and my nephew won't listen to me.
I'm tempted to call my sister out on her behavior and maybe even suggest seeking therapy or something (my mother has been trying to get her help for years now, and I'd hate to report her without at least trying out another alternative first), but my grandparents don't want me getting involved either.
I just don't want that child getting hurt. His mother isn't a mother at all. What should I do?

The saftey and well-being of a child should come before anything else in my opinion. If you feel his mother isn't taking care of him and mistreating him/abusing him/neglecting him then call CPS. Don't even give her a warning bc that will make her angry and possible cause harm to the child.
If you think she just needs help parenting or needs to learn some things, suggest she goes to a parenting class or reads some books, do what you can to guide the child down the right path. But you aren't his mother and you shouldn't have to take on the role.
