I had to sit and wait in a parking lot for ~half hour yesterday. Luckily I had sticky notes, a pen, and good tunes on the radio! I doodled a bunch of things, but this little dapper kitty (and his luitenent; she's coming soon) was by far my favorite. I digitalized his sketch and put a dab of color on him for the lolz. I have ideas of where he could go as a character, but I don't have a name for him! any suggestions?

𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚊I may have to go with gideon =o He's not sassy enough for the name, but maybe he'll learn to loosen up. @sappho OMG Memphis is the name I've been LOOKING for. ;u; I've had an unnamed character for over a year and that just works thankyouthankyou. CrookedkindsSo dapper. He's adorable. <33 And so jelly of your furring gah Why do y'all make it look so easy?

tbh I'm an analytical-minded artist so I probs should just go find a tutorial someplace. xDD But in actual drawing tutorials, they just say: "and then make it fluffy" and BAM fur. I'm just sitting there holding my pen: "NOPE"
He's adorable. Much more life than I could give him. <3

Tbh something that works for me is watching speedpaints? esp the ones where the commentate through the process bc you get a bit mire insight to how it works and you can pick up on the techniques. i can only really find traditional speedpaints where they commentate but tbh knowing how to work traditional mediums helps with digital art and vise versa so its really handy idk? 0: tutorials help a lot too but i have the attention span of about 0 so its hard for me to watch a full 30 minute video explaining posing techniques and such,,
you have a really nice style tho !!! He yad a lot f life from the start which is why i did a lil doodle. Keep it up, man your work is really lovely!

Yeah, that too. I've been watching lots of art livestreams lately, especially animation which helps LOADs with posing and the bigger things because, well, animation doesn't have the little details one work would have. It helps me with the basics, which really is what I need. I've never taken an art 'class' before, so I need the help I can get. And I could sit for hours with step teaching and tutorials. <3 Although short ones are cool too. I just watched a 3 minute furring tutorial and omg that helped me so much.
Heh, thanks. I'm working on it. xp I'm really just starting with art, so every little bit helps. Thanks <33
