Lunch ladies (or men) are amazing people who need to be recognized for all they do.
I was at camp last week and I was serving as a junior lunch lady. In doing so, I had to put up with what these beautiful people do everyday. Rude people, people trying to eat off the serving trays, people taking too much food so that there's literally not enough food left for the people at the end of the line - all of it I've now seen.
Please thank lunch people for the food, and please be respectful to them. If you don't like the food, just say no thanks. Don't make a face and shove the spoon away, please.
I love lunch ladies so much now.

This^^^
There are so many under appreciated professions until you actually work/volunteer/know someone who has been one. I remember back in elementary and middle school everyone kinda just ignored the janitors. Then in high school, I learned that my at-the-time boyfriend's brother actually worked as one. He's a super socially awkward guy who has a really hard time making friends, so when he got stationed at our school I'd always make a point to say hi to him when he was at work. Since then I've made an effort to say hi to all the cleaning staff I meet/pass by during my work day.

I'm so glad you agree!
Janitors are amazing people too. Anyone who has to clean up after students are amazing people.

Amen. Whenever I get lost in a building custodial staff are really helpful in getting me to the right place.
Also the head janitor at my high school was amazing.
