...it's actually true. But i'm NOT saying every single female in this series needs to be in the nursery at least once. they, like humans, can choose to be a mother if they want, but think about it from a different perspective. if the clans were much, MUCH smaller than they currently are and they were constantly loosing a lot of cats left and right, then wouldnt it ACTUALLY be the she-cats duties to replenish the clan and bring new life, NEW WARRIORS, to make the clans stronger in numbers? I understand why you guys dont like what she said, but realistically, it's true. feral cats, much like mice, are uncontrollable in the wild and have kits left and right all the time. so just keep in mind that they are NOT humans. they may think like humans, but not COMPLETELY. look what happened in dovewing's silence and bramblestar's storm. a lot of the young, healthy cats died off and then the flood made it a bit worse. even Berrynose made a comment and said they needed to care for their she-cats because there's no new kits or a lot of she-cats died recently. so in a way, when the clan numbers are slowly going down or there's a sudden drop of cats, especially she-cats, it IS the remaining she-cats duty to give the clan more cats to protect it.

That's why sexism occurs.
Males thought that a female's only job was to give birth and to care for children. So, they couldn't do any of the work that males could do.

I DONT KNOW WHERE I WAS GOING WITH THIS. I AM SORRY!!!!!!

You're exactly right, and honestly, I don't see a problem w/ what Whitewing said.
She's not forcing anyone to have kits, but she's saying that she-cats who bring kits to help serve the clan are doing an important duty. The clan needs new warriors, and the few outsiders they take don't make up for a potential litter of kittens.
What I have a problem with are people saying that you can't be independent and well-develop, and be a mother at the same time. Having kits doesn't ruin a character, in fact, sometimes I feel like she-cats become more interesting/developed after they've raised kits, because they're mature and truly independent.

That hardly applies to Warriors, though. In a realistic world, it would, admittedly. However, Warriors is far from realistic. Nearly everyone is a smack in the face to the laws of genetics, the cats have an elaborate communication system, and they are capable of logically reasoning, falling in love, and participating in an organized society. Who says traditional gender roles are necessary? Women can have children and still defy female standards. She-cats can do that, too.

I don't mind what she said either. I think it did make sense. I don't think she meant that the only important job she-cats do for the Clan is have kits.
If warriors were truly sexist the she-cats would likely only hunt and take care of kits...and possibly be medicine cats. (I say possibly only because a medicine cat's position is very important and a medicine cat can overrule a leader at times) The toms would do all the fighting , patrolling and be the only ones allowed to be leaders and deputies.
While warriors isn't 100% equal rights for everyone since something are frowned at (Like a she-cat leader having kits...while they are leader.) and other things are more acceptable. I don't think Whitewing said anything wrong in the statement she made about it being that she-cats duty to provide the Clans with kits...were else are they gonna get kits from?
