TBH same
Although the whole family-hates-cats thing has gone on long enough that I kinda also lost the urge to get one. The only cats I'd consider getting now are the more "exotic" breeds (Sphinx, Munchkin, Servals, etc) and even at that I want to get my own dog before I bother with a cat

She got bitten by one as a kid but I think she kinda wants one now? She keeps bringing the subject up, but I'm definitely not getting a cat.

But if you get a kitten then you could raise it with the guinea pigs, so it saw them as family and not food. It's really not hard. Then just them interact and if the kitten tries to play with them rough correct it.

I've got three cats but once these ones pass away I don't think we're getting anymore cats. My parents are kind of over owning cats and would rather just own dogs from now on. They don't hate cats but our cats that we have now have had lots of problems with peeing outside of their boxes. So my parents are kind of over that. (Also not looking for advice onto how to fix it or to tell me that my cats should be fixed or something since they're all fixed and also they won't use the box correctly so please refrain lol) like there's a whole room in our house blocked off from the cats because they won't stop peeing in there if they can get in. I personally don't see myself owning cats in the future or if I do I'm only having one at a time and really the only kind of cat I want is a hairless cat. I'm just much more of a dog, rabbit, and rat guy than a cat guy.

I guarantee you if I try this the kitten would make the guinea pigs bleed to death with its clawsThat's why you correct them. I doubt a kitten is going to see something its size just sitting there and violently attack it thinking it's playing. That's just what I'm picturing to make an animal like that bleed to death. I've raised plenty of kittens with plenty of other animals and not once has that kitten ever actually hurt another animal. My one cat I have now is perfectly fine with lizards and geckos because she was raised with them. She never hurt them once. She was also raised with rats and never hurt them either. Rarely are you going to find a kitten that will hurt another animal if you train it properly not to.

dude i got 7 cats and none of them go after the rabbits we have or even the bird.
just monitor their behavior around the guinea pigs. if things get too crazy, bring the cat to a different room or put the guinea pig back it its cage
