Overall, do you like living there? What's the best/worst thing?

I really enjoy living in Texas! For the most part, people around here are really nice and the food is AMAZING. As for the best and worst part, I think I can say the weather. Its great that I can go swimming on Christmas, but not so great when its 106 (41 celcius) and really humid in the summer. Something else that's fairly annoying is that if I drive four hours in any direction from my house, I'm still going to be in Texas.
Also fire ants are pretty bad

Honestly, I've been to Whataburger once in my life and it was too long ago for me to remember.
But i think they've won a few nation-wide burger chain competitions and all my friends seem to love it, so I guess it must taste pretty good.

exceedHello fellow Texan! I live northwest of Houston (I think) Humidity sucks:c I just stay inside for the most part and pray my air conditioner doesn't die. However, my family often goes on vacation to other parts of the country where it's cooler or less humid during July.

Honestly though I probably still wouldn't be able to remember it even if I did it in school XD I have watched some very amusing videos of American people trying to label where the countries in the UK are and I got a good laugh out of it XD
Omg that's actually kind of really cool. I mean, in Britain we don't really do much world history at all so it's pretty much all British history)

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧ Honestly I don't know how I handle the heat cx I just pray the air conditioning doesn't break. As for geography, as said before, we have to do it in school. I had to memorize a map of the states in fifth grade o_O I think this year I'll have to learn European geography

Yeah the UK is cold, man, you should come here. It's alright in the summer. When it was 18C/33F yesterday that was like warm but getting to the point where it's uncomfortably warm. Any higher than that and people start complaining it's too hot. It gets cold in winter though X Honestly though we like to whinge about the weather cos it's the most boring weather ever, mainly just rain x

human geography / world geography is a required 9th grade class at least for us i think? we go over the whole world in maps & memorize lots of countries and cities and physical features
hmm, i only really remember the four basic regions- coastal plains, central plains, great plains, and the mountains and basins region i really like the coastal plains! a lot of it's also forest and i live in a very very forested area, so the tall trees sorta give you a hug. i'm up above austin atm for the week and all of the open space sort of unnerves me a little.
we're required to do texan history in 7th, US in 8th, world geo in 9th, world history in 10th, US in 11th, and government / economics in 12th i think i love AP human geo the most it was so so fun

exceed That's kind of awesome! You guys do quite a varied history curriculum. For me, in Year Seven (aged 11-12) and a Year Eight we do British medieval history. Them from Year Nine (age 13-14) to Year 11 (15-16) we do World Wars I and II and the Vietnam war, though schools can pick different topics so that you can do Russian history or you can do all American history, like the civil rights movement in America and stuff like that. Then in Sixth Form (aged 16-18) you get to pick topics again. You can do more Russian history or you can do some Chinese history or you can do more British history. So you can do quite a varied history curriculum, but you don't have to. It's all down to whether your school wants you to do more world history or British history The Kat's KitKat Yeah I think you'd like it a lot XD I wouldn't mind visiting America but it's expensive to fly so far x)

We should trade states. I hate winters in Minnesota. But then everybody probably hates living in Minnesota during winter.

SparklyDefinently consider coming to Texas (just not in the summer CX ) There's a lot of cool historical places you can visit like the Alamo, Washington on the Brazos, and the San Jacinto Monuement. There's also tons of state parks that are great for Camping and seeing tons of wildlife Not to mention the Texas State Highway 130 has the fastest speed limit in the country (85 mph or 137 km/h)

The stuff that rarely falls in Texas doesn't even stick cx yeah, it feels great in summer, though I love heat and it never seems warm enough here unless it's 80-90-100 degrees Fahrenheit. And it depends on how warm it is in the winter, last winter it was about 10-20 degrees, and then it would suddenly go up to 30-40 degrees, so the snow kept melting. We only got about a few inches of snow. A few years ago, though, the snow was about three feet. We don't get deep snow too often.
