So my kitten Ravenpaw is roughly 2 and a half months old. Today he mastered the art of fetching. It only took him 2 days to learn. I wonder what other tricks I can teach him before he gets old enough to be set in his ways...

I just kept throwing the little ball for him, then as he would chase it back towards me, I would grab it, show him, throw it, and he would chase it, then repeat. After a few times he started intentionally chasing it back towards me, then today I would throw it and he would pick it up and carry it back to me.
He has been attacking my hands a lot, I'm trying to work on him playing without using his claws. He's in the chewing phase still, and likes to lick/chew on my shirt, but he's getting better. Usually I hide my hands from him when he starts getting too wild and he'll calm down, or when he gets really out of control I'll hold the back of his neck so he can't turn his head for a few seconds until he calms down. It helps that I have 5 other cats who are also putting him in his place when he tries to play too rough.
What's your kitten's name?

Yeah, we try to do that, and he's gotten a little bit better (as in, we can have him in the room and he won't go after our hands if he's not on the bed, but if w're walking around he goes after everything on us lol), but when I hold the back of his neck he seems to fight more. But he's a super smart kitty, and its a lil hard cause we don't have any other cats in the house. His name is Toothless, he's all black with a little white patch on his chest ^^. You mean like this? (This is Ravenpaw)

My mom's old cat Danada used to play fetch on her own without anyone having taught her or tried to. She just really liked having a specific red fuzzy pom pom thrown across the room for her to chase and bat around. Even up until two years ago before she got to sick and passed. Was kind of strange but cute.

Keiko and Torino both picked it up without being taught. Torino is so bad about it sometimes he'll come drop the toy on my head while I'm in bed asleep and demand to play fetch right that instant. I just thought I'd try teaching Ravenpaw, because that cat has so much energy he NEEDS to run.

One of my cats, Munchkin, has played fetch since we adopted him. We did adopt him at around 5 months though so it's possible someone did teach him, but we didn't. I have a video but I don't think it's possible to post it here.
I have taught my cat Finn a few tricks with clicker training though. High five, sit pretty, lie down, roll over, and sit. Fairly simple to teach.

My sister's cat plays fetch. But his only other housemate is a German shepherd so he kinda thinks he's a dog as well.
