Q2:
Because Jadepaw was in the patrol to fight off a fox ages ago(before I joined e.e), and she died that day. Darkstar wanted Foxface to revive her right then and there, but Foxface didn't. When the spirits granted them access to revive Jadepaw, he still didn't do it, saying he was weak at that moment and that Darkstar needed to find someone else with more power than him(even though Foxface has master powers), which angered Darkstar even more because he wanted his daughter back. Though, Foxface didn't want to revive Jadepaw because the body can be revived, but not the soul. Foxface worked to make sure Jadepaw stayed dead, but I don't think he succeeded if I remember correctly, and Jadepaw was raised again before Foxface killed her again due to her being dark. When Foxface disappeared, half the Clan thought he had something to do with her death.
Dang it. I took too long. >.<

Ebonypaw is most likely to be next line for leadership. He seems to be training her and preparing her for the position through vigorous lessons and even making her dole out the punishment when Burnpaw disobeyed him.
She's the kit that is closest to his own personality which will make it easy for him to pass on everything he knows and believes because she shares beliefs.

I think Ebonypaw is the most likely. She seems to be the closest to Darkstar if anything. She's shown to be ambitious an quick to follow his orders, and fully intends to follow in his footsteps.

I believe that Ebonypaw is mostly like to take over Darkstar's reign because she is who he has chosen. Darkstar will teach Ebonypaw everything she needs to know to be leader and Ebonypaw is already a loyal follower to her father. She believes that her father is great and will do anything he tells her. Darkstar knows that she would make a great leader because unlike her siblings she has darkness as well as a clear head to make decisions rather than reacting on emotions or falling for tricks.

I think that Ebonypaw would most likely be the one to take over Dakrstar's reign. This is due to the fact that the two seem to have a very close bond, even for a father and daughter. Ebonypaw seems to believe and support a lot of what Darkstar's actions, most likely even more than her siblings. She has a nature that is slightly similar to Darkstar too.

Darkstar seems to favor Ebonypaw over his other kits. She might be the one to take his place, but personally I think it's between Iriskit or Venomkit. Because of their brutal nature, they are cunning and power hungry. They have even teamed up to accomplish the task.

Although in most stories 'good always wins' I currently don't see that being the case.
Darkstars' group has much more cats than Aurorastar's. Unlike Aurorastars' group, almost all of them are unfailingly loyal to Darkstar and his cause. In Aurorstars's group, however, there are less cats and quite a few of them are beginning to doubt her and her abilities to lead.
Darkstars' group is more prone to winning battles because they are more ruthless and are willing to kill cats they once called their clanmates. Aurorastars' group still looks at the Uppercamp cats as their clanmates and are less willing to harm them. If Aurorastar's group ever realizes that this is war and anything goes, maybe they'll stand a chance but until then Darkstars' cats will just keep winning.

While I'm pretty sure Aurorastar will win in the end, at the moment Darkstar has the upper hand. He's got both the upper and middle camps at his disposal, and even in the lower camp won the border skirmish a while back, they've definitely had more casualties on the lower camp than the upper. Not to mention, Aurorastar is currently being seen as weak by a good chunk of the lower camp, while most of the upper and middle camp supports Darkstar. The odds just...seem to be in their favor right now.

Currently, Darkstar is setting his group up for success in winning the war. Gradually, his warriors are becoming more battle-hungry and savage which would make them more likely to win. Also, Nightlight and the other evil spirits are on Darkstar's side which is a big plus since they rule the spirit realm now. Aurorastar is also losing her mind over how costly the war has been. With all this in mind, Aurorastar has a few things going for her group as well. She has most of the healers and the rouges on her side. She also has Soulpaw who will help bring Crystal back. I have a premonition that Crystal will help defeat Nightlight and Darkstar and take back the spirit realm.

Eh... Tundraclaw is unpredictable and might kill Darkstar if he gets the chance. Although he does have a family on the way so he probably won't do it unless he feels the need.
