I draw a sort of more cartoony version of drawing, not realistically, if that helps at all.
I'm just seriously failing. O.o

Both in traditional and computer, I draw each individual strand of hair. Yes, I have been told I have far too much patients. xP

um I just do traditionally so I. . .after I make the face I just do a rough sketch then make it better. I always do it realistically and like minted star/fur draw each individual strand of hair XD which doesn't go with my "style"

Doesn't go with mine, either, really. But it's my 'style' so hair like that is how it goes.

The way I draw hair falls under more of a cartoon/semi-realistic style.
With both hair and fur, I tend to either make them sleek or fluffy, depending on the length of the strands~
//the details mainly varies depending on the whether I'm doing line-art or a digital painting o:

whats going on in this thread honestly it looks like the original poster is asking for advice but all the responses are short answers that don't actually give advice ?? what happened here
EDIT: i should probably say that the reason im asking is bc if the original poster is actually asking for advice i'd be able to give some but if they're not i'd feel kinda rude for assuming

niiiccceee im not an expert at all but i can describe what i do for hair i have a pretty cartoony style and the usual trademark of a cartoony style is that the hair looks more like a cohesive mass than individual hairs (anime/manga styles are usually like,, a mix of both techniques??) i keep my hand loose and do long strokes for longer hair to give it that whoosh you know?? tho in my sketches i do try to map out how the hair would move to make sure its relatively right here's a lil example of my sketch vs the lines if u want a more visual thing i also do a lot of messing around with my own hair and looking at pictures of different haircuts to kind of study how hair actually works and falls and all that so that's really helped me get a good understanding of how to draw it at different angles or in different styles

Ah, I assumed that you were asking how other people did hair compared to you because of how the title and first post was phrased. My mistake. @.@ This is how I draw it, it might help/give you some ideas... I used a brush or tool in my art program that smooths out everything so each strand looks straight. According to my check, it's called Freehand Path Tool. It really helps, since I'm using a mouse. I start with a rough outline for where the hair will go/what it will look like shape wise, then start to layer on the colors. Then I just continue doing that until I can't see the background color anymore. Sometimes I have to double check the light-source to make sure that darker colored hair strands are going on one side of the head more than another.
