"I was thinking about doing some hunting and afterwards, if we all feel up to it, we'll patrol the border. Cloverstar told everyone to be on the lookout for loners." |

"Sounds like fun!" The young she-cat bounded over to her mentor, but it was quite obvious that she retained some nervousness around Spiderheart. Having only been recently made an apprentice her fear of toms was still very much there.
(I could have Fallenlight or Sweeteyes find the apprentices if y'all want)

Dustpaw looked helplessly at the wound Jasperpaw had. He had white cough the day Ryeheart taught the apprentices about herbs. He didn't know what to do. "Are you going to be okay?" Go ahead and pick from the freshkill pile. But hurry, I don't want to be rude and keep them waiting." He mewed and left to meet up with Skystorm and his apprentice. "How's the training been going Thornpaw?" Spiderheart asked. |

" I think so " she said weakly . "Are you okay?" she asked. "Just some bruises." He confessed. "You did really well." He purred. "I can't believe we beat that fox! It was about five or six cats high! I'm sure Cloverstar will make us warriors soon for sure. And you got a couple of good marks there." He pointed out. |

Songpaw nodded and raced away to the freshkill pile.
"Amazing! Skystorm has taught me so much!" The apprentice bounced up and down like a kit. "Hunting is going to be so much fun." Thornpaw said not even worrying about his missing ear giving him trouble.
Sweeteyes was out in the forest having a quiet walk when she scented blood. It was Jasperpaw's. Racing to find the source, the older she-cat stumbled upon the beaten and battered apprentices. "What happened?" She asked Dustpaw as she inspected the other apprentice's wound.

[ i thought i responded what the heck ] Maybe I should just pretend I'm the father... Amberfeather thought, placing his tail over Cloverstar's shoulders comfortingly. Quickly he shook off the idea however. We'd end up both rogues if the Clan ever found out. Shrugging to himself, Amberfeather turned his thoughtful gaze to his leader. "I'm sure it's some tom just too embarrassed to show himself." Wavepaw smiled happily. "Sure!" He announced, happy to train with his friend. The apprentice loved training with Mountainpaw and Hawkthorn. Both were funny and treated him kindly. Wavepaw used to have a crush on Hawkthorn before he realized how silly he was being. Purring at the memory, he turned to look at the older she-cat. "I will beat you!" He growled, returning his gaze to Mountainpaw. "Embarrassed to be with my sister? I guess I could see that." Cloverstar said thoughtfully. "She can be a bit.. strange. But she really is a sweet she-cat." She said softly. "I wish she'd open up to me." She looked into Amberfeather's eyes. "Anyways, my legs need to get stretched. How about you and I go look for that loner? We might as well be productive while we gossip." She purred and hopped down from the Sunning Rock. "Let's go." She waved her tail as she made her way to the grass path that led out of camp. Mountainpaw purred and tapped his muzzle with a paw. "You wish!" She grinned. "Everyone knows I'm better at fighting than you." She thought for a second. "But you are a better hunter. So I guess that's fair." She flicked her tail. "I'm so excited to show you that new move!" "Naw, I wouldn't be embarrassed to be with your sister. Maybe the tom is just a nervous cat who doesn't like gossip?" Amberfeather suggested, smiling at his leader. His eyes brightened as Cloverstar suggested looking for the loner. Letting his claws slide out, he bounded after his leader. "The loner better not mess with us!" The tom growled, showing his teeth. "Maybe I'll win this time!" Wavepaw huffed indignantly. Suddenly leaping on her, the tom laughed. "See, I got you!" He growled as he pinned Mountainpaw down. |

Skystorm flicked his tail over Thornpaw's good ear with pride. "He's been doing really well for a new apprentice." He purred. "He caught a sparrow in the Moss Tree a few sunrises ago."
"A sparrow, that's pretty good!" Spiderheart praised him. "Keep it up and you'll become a better hunter than Cloverstar herself." He said. "She caught a deer with Skystorm, Rosewing and I. She had dealt the killing blow right to it's neck. It took almost the whole clan to bring it back." He laughed.
"Jasperpaw and I fought back a huuuuuge fox." Dustpaw purred. "You should have seen it!" He told Sweeteyes, pride swelling in his chest. Dustpaw purred as Jasperpaw touched his muzzle with her paw. "We do make a good team." He agreed.

"You loners will have your pelts ripped off if he catches you!" She purred. Elk, who was nearby, heard Cloverstar's yowl. His muscles tensed. If they found him, they would blow his cover in front of the she-cat loner. "I'll let you go this time." He warned. "My clanmates need me." He slid away from her and into the tall grass, hoping not to bump into any clan cats. "Oh no, you got me!" She laughed. "Who knew a Wave could beat a Mountain." She teased. |

" It was like three times my size and I'm one of the biggest cats in the clan" mewed Jasperpaw. Her ginger coat was messy and blood ran from her wounds in her shoulder and face. Dustpaw licked her shoulder wound. He may not know much about healing, but he at least knew he had to keep it clean. |

Thornpaw grinned widely, puffing out his chest with pride. "Where's Songpaw? Is the mousebrain still sleeping?" "Nope." The tom's sister was suddenly next to him, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. The apprentice shot several tail lengths into the air with fright. "You know not to sneak up on my bad side." Thornpaw protested looking upset. "I do, but an enemy will take advantage of it." Songpaw said looking superior. Suddenly Thornpawtackled her and the apprentices went rolling away.
"You two did what?" The she-cat fixed an icy stare on the two apprentices. "You know better than to take on a fox without a warrior! You're both lucky neither of you were killed. I need to get some cobwebs and herbs for Jasperpaw, luckily there are some nearby. Dustpaw stay here an look after Jasperpaw." Sweeteyes took off for the herbs she needed and it wasn't too long till she returned. After applying a poultice and cobwebs to the worst of the wounds, she looked at the apprentices, "Let's get back to camp. Jasperpaw are you okay to walk?" She asked her eyes soft with worry and concern.

Without thinking he touched his nose to his friend's. Excitement flooded through him but he quickly leaped off of Mountainpaw. "S-sorry." He muttered and quickly bounded off towards Hawkthorn. [ sorry these were kinda rushed. i was watching a dog and kitten while trying to eat food lol ] |

"Maybe we should do some battle training instead if they have this much energy." The older warrior mewed. "What would you two rather do?" He asked. Spiderheart felt a bit offended that the tom had decided to change his plans. But he respected him and kept his muzzle shut. Dustpaw's tail drooped when Sweeteyes scolded them. He thought they'd praise them for their bravery. |
