Introduction
Your fur bristled as you trotted tiredly across the moorland. The hills seemed endless. All you could see from there until the horizon was heather, rocks, and the seemingly boundless moors. Your tail sunk, dragging across the ground. Shelter... all you wanted was shelter. A place to rest. Maybe some time to hunt and drink some water, too.
You'd been stuck on the moors for moons now - stuck, dragging your feet, trying to find somewhere to rest. To call home. You were shaking, your entire body was shaking in the strange way that told you to stop moving, and to stop moving now. But you couldn't stop walking. You'd run, but running would mean almost certain death. The moors were endless. Tired. Hungry. Tired. Hungry. Those words stuck in your mind. You stumbled. A flash of brown appeared in your vision, bright against the marshy greens and greys.
Suddenly, you were pinned to the ground. You didn't attempt to fight your captor. You mewed slightly in protest, but quickly went limp again. You were too tired to fight. You may as well just let death come your way.
"Barkpaw!" A voice barked out over the area. "Get off that poor cat, now!" The weight lifted off your body, and you half-heartedly sighed in relief. The voice grew closer. It was a striking, mottled brown she-cat, with bright green eyes. "I'm so, so, so sorry about Barkpaw!" She mewed. "My name is Autumnstar of MoorClan. We live on the hilly moors and marshes, serving our Clan and ancestors." The she-cat looked around, thinking.
"As you already know, the moors are like a maze. No cat knows the way out, except MoorClan, and perhaps a few rogues or loners that live around here. You'll die without MoorClan's help. The ancestors have led you here..." Autumnstar pondered, turning to you. "The ancestors have led you to us. Do you want to follow their will, and join our faithful Clan? Or, shall we escort you off the moors? It's your choice. Which path will you take?"
History A long while ago, ShoreClan and MoorClan were once together as one—CrestClan. The territory was an abundance of trees and many sources of water. There was the crescent-shaped lake that gave them their name, as well as a sunlit glade and the moon pond where they spoke to their former ancestors in StarClan. When a massive storm hit, it was the end of CrestClan's home. The trees were struck down by lightning left and right and burning through even the hard rain but most importantly, the lake was flooding over. The camp for these cats was a dried out, once powerful river. Both ends were blocked up by sand and rocks left presumably by twolegs, but the barricades only helped it fill with water and could not stop the flood of the lake from crashing through.
Those who survived the night would emerge from their makeshift shelters—soggy and exhausted—and try to reunite with their separated friends and loved ones. Two siblings, hairless cats named Rosebelly and Silverspring, would meet-up without an inkling as to where their fluffy-furred, adopted sister Downytuft could be. That was until they stumbled upon her while sloshing through the mud the expanse of the forest floor was covered in, stuck in the dirt and buried under ash and broken branches, while they had been searching for her and the rest of their clanmates. Downytuft had always been sickly and was lucky enough to become a warrior, but a storm like this was one the weak she-cat could not endure. The ground was too sticky to dig through and they had to leave her there in her death.
Eventually, the remaining CrestClan cats gathered at the blackened, tallest tower of a tree in the territory—weary, defeated and missing quite a few among their ranks. Many had watched their clanmates drown or found them crushed by fallen trees in the morning. Their deputy, Parsnipnose, was particularly anxiety ridden—as was his personality to panic under pressure, and their elderly leader Hollowstar was nowhere to be found.
Collectively, they decided this disasterous storm had to be StarClan being angry with them and had sent it as a divine punishment. Their following of StarClan ended that day out of spite, as what bad had they done to deserve something as unfair as this?
With Parsnipnose out of commission and everyone close to giving up, Rosebelly and Silverspring took it upon themselves to give a speech and raise their spirits. The remaining cats followed them through the wreckage to use the lives they still had to continue living.
They began their search for a new place to call home. Several weeks had passed of licking their wounds, mourning, sending out makeshift hunts and sleeping under anything they could find before they emerged upon a coast. It was appalling that their long journey had come to a dead-end, but some became used to the idea of stopping here while others spat at being near the sea. Water is what ruined everything in the first place.
Two cats with opposing opinions had been the leaders of the journey, Rosebelly and Silverspring. The latter believed the flood was a message that they needed to become stronger and wanted to dedicate the clan to survive water and live on this coast by the sea. Rosebelly disagreed with her brother Silverspring, wanting to change their direction to the side and keep going until they bring everyone to a more familiar environment.
Ultimately, the Clan split into those wanting to settle down at the shore - ShoreClan - And those who wanted to find a home elsewhere, settling on the moors as MoorClan. With unease, the brother and sister had to part ways with their groups. A family of three was now torn apart by a storm, and differences.

❂ Customs And Rituals The Running Of The Mates: If a tom or she-cat wants to take a cat as a mate, then a long ritual is involved. First, the proposing cat must gather flowers and prey, before making a gift for the cat that they'll be proposing to, in the centre of camp. The cat will stand next to this, and, when the cat that they'll be proposing to sees it, they will ask that cat if they accept the cat's offer to be mates. If the cat accepts the offer, then the proposing cat must run to the Rock Of Proposal, on the other side of the territory, catch three rabbits, and run back, carrying the rabbits, all in one day. They will make a single claw-mark on the Rock Of Proposal, to mark the occasion. If the proposing cat manages to do this, then the two cats will be unified, in the centre of camp. The leader will call a Clan meeting, for which, all cats in the Clan must be present for. The leader will announce the unification, before the medicine cat ties the two cat's front paws together, with the stem of a flower. The leader will say "These two cats, by the power of the Ancestors, are now mates. May their lives be long and faithful." After this, the entire Clan will celebrate with games, relaxation time, and congratulating the new couple.
The Trials: Instead of warrior assessments, MoorClan has three distinctly different tests to be passed called the Trials. There is the Body Trial, the Mind Trial, and the Heart Trial. They can be taken at any time towards the end of an apprenticeship (typically spaced out over the last few moons) and all three must be passed to the mentor's satisfaction. If any of the trials are failed, the ceremony will be delayed and apprentice will have to start the failed Trial over.
The Body Trial This is a basic test of the hunting, fighting, tracking, scenting, water combat, observation, and general survival skills needed, for the life of a MoorClan warrior. Any warrior in the Clan can conduct this trial, but an apprentice's mentor generally does.
The Mind Trial This Trial tests the apprentice's critical thinking skills, intelligence, and the ability to think under pressure. On the day of the Trial, the apprentice will be brought into the territory. Before the Trial begins, the apprentice's mentor, and a few other cats, will have decided on a few items that the apprentice must gather, and bring back to camp - For example, five smooth pebbles, a Rowan branch, three sprigs of Catmint, two rabbits, something from a Twoleg, and a Puffin feather. The apprentice has three days to gather these items, and return them to camp. Over the course of the trial, the apprentice will be challenged by Clanmates posing as rogues, loners, or aggressive Kittypets, who will challenge the apprentice for their items. The apprentice must fight to keep control of the items, using any means necessary, short of killing the cat, or extremely injuring them, to the point where the cat may die, or they'd have to spend over six moons in the medicine cat's den.
The Heart Trial This is a test of courage, and dedication. The apprentices are to swim to the Misty Isle and spend the night alone to fend for themselves. The goal is to receive a message or a dream from the spirits, any sign at all to tell them they have been accepted by the ancestors. While it seems like a simple challenge, they must survive the sea, the horrible hungry mouths of the sea beast, and those spirits that would do them harm. Not receiving a sign or returning to camp before the next dawn is considered a failure, and the Trial must be retaken.
The Borne Of The Moors: When a new litter of kits are born, it is a happy occasion for the entire Clan. The leader, deputy, and medicine cat will all give their blessings to the new kits, and their parents, and the whole Clan will give the new kits, and their parents, gifts of prey, flowers, herbs, pebbles, and, generally, whatever's on hand. That day, the leader will call a Clan meeting, announcing the birth of the kits, and the kits's names. During this ceremony, the parents will name a cat currently in the Clan for each kit, who will guide and help them when the parents are unable to. Sometimes, this, same cat, will become the kit's mentor when they become an apprentice, but not always. The entire Clan will chant this, together: "Welcome *Kit's Names*, to MoorClan. *Kit's Names* are Borne Of The Moors. May the Ancestors guide them through their long and faithful lives."
From The Outside World, To A Cat Of The Moors: When an outsider wants to join MoorClan, they must run a trial. They must first spar with an existing Clan cat, to show strength, courage, bravery, and fighting skills. They must race an existing Clan cat across the moors, to show speed, willpower, endurance, and faith in their abilities. They must hunt twelve pieces of prey in one day, to show hunting skills, determination, and a drive to help their Clan. They must gather a pile of moss as high as the leader, to show endurance, and a willingness to do the less noble jobs, in order to help their Clan succeed. They must gather herbs with the medicine cat for a whole day, to show skill, a keen eye for herbs, and to, perhaps, show if they'd, perhaps, be a better medicine cat, than a warrior. If they pass all of these tests, they must go to the Misty Island, and visit with the Ancestors, to show faith in their ancestors, who will always watch over them. Finally, the Clan must accept them. The whole Clan will vote over whether or not the cat should join, and, if they agree that the cat should join MoorClan, then the cat will be accepted. Having a Clan name is not mandatory, but most outsiders joining the Clan will take traditional Clan names.
The Death Of A Cat Of The Moors: When a MoorClan cat dies, it's a time of grief for the entire Clan. The medicine cat will dress the dead body in flowers and scents, in order to disguise the death-scent. The entire Clan will give their final goodbyes to the cat, before the cat's closest friends and family are given a period of grieving, for the entire night. At dawn, the dead body will be taken far out onto the moors by the elders, leader, and the cat's very closest friends and family, before being left far out onto the moors, far outside of MoorClan territory. Despite the fact that the cat's body is now outside of MoorClan territory, their spirit will be with MoorClan, forever.
The Spirits Of The Passed: StarClan and the Dark Forest do not exist on the moors. Instead, the Ancestors show themselves in the form of the mist and fogs that roll across MoorClan's territory, during the night. Leaders and medicine cats can sometimes see the shapes of the passed in these mists, and communicate with them via speech.
Special Skills Over time, MoorClan has developed a series of special skills, which set them apart from ShoreClan. They are fast on their feet, and extremely good runners and hunters. They aren't exactly agile, but are brilliant at traversing the rocky, lumpy moorland landscape. They have discovered many techniques for hunting and fighting on the moors, and gathering and storing herbs in the damp area. MoorClan are incredibly faithful to their ancestors, and are the most faithful of all of the Clans.

❂ Territory MoorClan lives on a series of hilly moors and marshes, scattered with rocks, ledges, and cliffs. If you run close enough to the edge of the territory, you will find craggy cliffs, looking over the ocean. Unlike ShoreClan's gentle beaches, MoorClan's coastline has a sheer drop, and all cats under 8 moons old are to stay far away from this area, and, even afterwards, to stay at least three tail-lengths away from the edge. The moors are covered in heather and gorse bushes, and scattered with rabbit burrows, and Twolegs's herds of sheep. Based off of this: Abbs Head Nature Reserve
Landmarks: Ebony Marsh: This marsh is a dark, dingy place - No cat really goes there. It's towards the North-East of the territory. It's a good place to catch frogs, toads, and birds such as crows and ravens. Foxes often lurk around here. Lynx's Crop: A small, rocky crop, looking over the ocean. It's incredibly dangerous, but the bolder cats sometimes come here to catch Puffins and Seagulls. Medicine Cats come here sometimes, too, as plenty of Catmint grows around here. Willow Vale: A smallish-medium sized valley, located around the centre of the territory, near to the camp. Rowan River runs through the bottom, and the area is scattered with willow trees, earning it it's name of Willow Vale. It's a good place to come and hunt. Moorstar's Ledge: This ledge, towards the south-east of the territory, is where Moorstar first declared MoorClan an official Clan. Cats will come here if they want to gather their courage for a particularly difficult event, such as a battle, or an apprentice's Trials. The Rock Of Proposal: Where potential mates must run to. A proposing mate will make a single claw-mark on the rock, to mark the occasion. The Misty Isle: A lone, small island a long swim off the sandy coast. It is densely packed with trees that keeps out all light. Large rocks enclose the island as if warnings others not to close their boundary. In the centre of the veil of pine trees there is a large, flat, circular stone. This is the best place to try and talk to the ancestors, but it is also the place you are most vulnerable, to the less kind spirits. The Dock: The gathering place for ShoreClan and MoorClan. On the far end of the crescent-shaped coast, there is a large beach with rough gray-white sand that is often visited by Twolegs, during the day. There is a small shack like building that usually smells like greasy food. The whole beach is encased in fencing to block the Twolegs from wandering into the forest, or up to the cliffs. Here is an abandoned dock on the farthest end of the beach, where the two Clans meet, once a moon, that is simply called the Dock. The Training Valley: Really, "Valley" is overstating this. It's a small valley, running off of Willow Vale, which eventually opens out into a clearing, with vertical, rocky walls. A pool is in the middle of the clearing. This is where apprentices, and, sometimes, older cats, will come to train in hunting, fighting, and water combat. The Thunderpath: A Thunderpath that leads away from ShoreClan's beaches, and separates ShoreClan and MoorClan. The Stormy Forest: A deep, dark forest, running along the south edge of the territory, along the Thunderpath which separates ShoreClan and MoorClan. Prey is bountiful in here, but, beware - badgers, foxes, and other dangers lurk in here, too!
Camp MoorClan's camp is located in a deep, rocky crevice in the ground, with extremely tall sides. Caves go into the rock at either side, and the crevice is about six or seven fox-lengths wide. The fresh-kill pile is at the "Back" of camp, just past the elder's den. A largish-medium sized stream runs through the camp, about two fox-lengths wide. They gather moss from the sides of the rocks along the stream's sides. The Leader's Den: The leader's den is in a cave about three fox-lengths off the ground, on the left side of camp. There are stone "Steps" leading up to the den, on the left of the den, and a ledge extending out from the entrance, known as the Highledge. The Clan's call is: "All cats old enough to run on the moors, gather around the Highledge for a Clan meeting!" The Warrior's Den: The Warrior's den is a cave at ground level, on the right side of camp. Vines hang over the entrance. The Apprentice's Den: The apprentice's den is in a cave at ground level, on the left side of camp. It's just next to the bottom step of the stone steps leading up to the leader's den, and vines hang over the entrance. The Medicine Cat's Den: The medicine cat's den is in a cave, much like the leader's den in design, but without the ledge, on the right side of the camp. Vines hang down, and over the entrance. A tunnel leads from the back, through the stone, and into the nursery. The Nursery: The nursery is a large cave, with a small entrance, about half a tail-length above the ground, on the right side of the camp. The entrance is just large enough for a fully-grown cat to squeeze through, making the nursery hard to attack. There's a tunnel leading from the back of the nursery, up, and into the medicine cat's den. The Elder's Den: The elder's den is a largish-medium cave, on ground level, on the right side of camp. An overhang made out of rock over the entrance protects the elders from the weather, and makes it easier to see out, but harder to see in.

❂ Allegiances Leader Autumnstar: A striking, mottled brown she-cat, with dark brown paws, and a dark brown tailtip. Apart from her dark brown paws and tailtip, Autumnstar's coat is a perfect mottled mixture of dark and light brown, creating the perfect appearance of fallen Leaf-Fall leaves. Her name, Autumnstar, comes from the fact that she was formerly a kittypet named Autumn - Nobody knows where the name came from, but her Twolegs appeared to associate it with Leaf-Fall, so, they just rolled with it. She is a very kind and caring cat, preferring peace over violence, and democracy over arguing. She will put many decisions to a vote among the Clan, hating it when leaders lead their Clan to destruction through war. Autumnstar loves kits, and will often put aside her prestigious position to play with the kits of the Clan. However, she can be extremely meek, and doesn't really stand up for herself or her decisions, believing that she may come off as rude. She can be a bit of a doormat sometimes, letting the more pushy members of her Clan walk all over her. She is 32 moons old. Likes: Water, hunting, kits, eating rabbits, the smell of lavender, helping out the medicine cat. Dislikes: Fighting, foxes, pushy cats, war, arguments, eating squirrels, being extremely stressed out. Other: Formerly a Kittypet. Backstory (Optional): RPer: Sparkly
Deputy (Open, but please don't sign up for this position. I will put up a poll to let members vote, once the RP has started.)
Medicine Cat (Open)
Medicine Cat Apprentice (Open)
Warriors Voletooth|| Male || 40 moons || Warrior || A tall and lanky silver-blue tom with a long tail and his ears seem just slightly larger than they should be. His fur his speckled with slightly darker grey spots and a nearly black spot is just above his nose. His eyes are a dark orange colour and he has a scar across his right eye. || || Voletooth is a kind soul to those around him. He's a gentle reassurance and guide to his clan mates, but a furious warrior in defence of his clan. He has a habit of spacing out at times when thinking about something. This often leads him to asking others to repeat themselves, or just not knowing he was spoken to at all. || Patrolling, hunting, racing, training apprentices, eating squirrels, and telling stories to kits || The taste of snakes and bats, sheep, cold weather, ambitious cats. Hunting, chasing, bringing down large enemies, taking care of younger cats, and finding solutions to problems. || Fighting more than one enemy at a time, travelling/fighting/hunting in the dark, holding his tongue when angry, paying attention after spacing out None/people are free to include him in family trees || || Blanket Pig ||
Wolfeyes || She-cat || 32 moons || Warrior || A large, fluffy grey tabby she-cat with a slight light brown tone to her fur, with some white around her neck, face, and belly. Her fur is very long and the fur along her belly almost touches the ground when she walks. She has a long, narrow muzzle, a mostly white face, and piercing amber eyes. || || She's serene and elegant to look at, but almost scary and dark in the way she talks. She can be threatening, intimidating and she can definitely back up her talk in a fight.|| Likes snow, sandy dry spots in the shade, overcast days. || Dislikes humidity, cats who are mean to kits, birds. She's strong, tough and has high endurance. || She's not the fastest but for her slow pace, she has much more endurance. Unknown || Other || RPed By Anubis ||
Apprentices
Tigerpaw || Male || Seven moons || Apprentice || Tigerpaw is a small, light ginger tom with yellow eyes. He has darker stripes that go across his back and tail, along with his paws. His name was given to him for his stripes and how large he was at birth. He grew to be broad-shouldered and tall, but shortly after becoming an apprentice Tigerpaw became sick. He lost a lot of weight in this time and because he was bedridden for so long, is now very out of shape and struggles with training. || || Tigerpaw is quiet and doesn't like to speak unless he has something that he thinks is important to say. He's easily peeved by cats who talk too much or by cats that don't directly answer questions. He always tries to think in a tactical manner, but fighting is always his first resort, even while weak and out of shape. || Fighting, learning from other warriors, play-fighting with clanmates, feeling involved in serious matters || Kits, losing fights, being left out of battles and patrols, feeling useless to the clan. Leading, fighting, planning battles, planning patrols, following orders || Holding back from doing nothing, trying to push around or control those younger/under him, Talking out disagreements, controlling his anger None/open to others|| ((If you don't like the name Tiger that's fine and we can change it.. I had the character but no name for him and went with what first came to mind lol)) || Blanket Pig ||
Queens (None Currently)
Kits Twistedkit || Tom || 2 moons || Kit || A tall sleek thin tom with short white fur and faint ginger patches across his pelt and over one ear. He has dull green eyes and a long tail. His nose and muzzle are bent awkwardly upwards towards his left eye and his left eye is always half closed because of it and it leaves his top fangs and teeth showing, as well as letting his tongue hang out sometimes. Because of his twisted snout, his speech sounds a bit odd and mumbled. || || He is quiet but curious, always looking around at things. He doesn't speak much and always looks focused, having an air about him that makes him seem secretive and aloof. He can be a bit cruel and mean sometimes. He's patient with just about everything except hunting. || Likes exploring, going into caves, fighting, and watching places from up high. || Dislikes water, trees and long hunting patrols. Skilled in fighting techniques and a quick learner of strategy. || He is fast but impatient when it comes to hunting, he's not the best hunter. (When he's a warrior) No kin known. || He was found on the MoorClan territory, probably the kit of a rogue or loner who was abandoned by the Ebony Marsh. Warrior name will be Twistedface. || RPed By Anubis ||
Elders (None Currently)
Cats Outside Of The Clan Jingo: A brown tabby tom, with dark brown paws, a dark brown tailtip, and amber eyes. A brave tom, he can sometimes be arrogant and stubborn, but he's got good fighting skills for a Kittypet. 32 moons old. Likes: Exploring, milk, wooing Kittypet she-cats. Dislikes: Storms, overly "Preeny" cats, the night. Other: Autumnstar's brother. RPer: Sparkly
Speckle: A speckled brown she-cat, with dark brown paws and a dark brown tailtip, with sleek fur, and bright green eyes. Speckle is extremely timid and meek, and incredibly shy and socially awkward. However, despite all of this, she would do anything for her friends and family, and is incredibly trusting. She would make a brilliant mother. 32 moons old. Likes: Attempting to hunt, being alone, kits, her few friends. Dislikes: Socialising for long periods of time, being with strangers, fighting, arguments, loud noises. Other: Autumnstar's sister. RPer: Sparkly

❂ Plots Main Plot Autumnstar has just returned from a long journey - However, not all is the same as before. She has become more paranoid and jumpy, and spending a lot more time in the medicine cat's den. With the season moving into Leaf-Fall, and rapidly moving into Leafbare, prey is getting low. Can the Clan work out what's going on with Autumnstar, before her jumpiness leads the Clan to starvation?
Sub-Plots (None, So Far!)
Rules 1: No kit-stealing, kit-killing, kit-abandoning, kit-saving, kit-pancaking... anything to do with kits other than raising them, really.
2: Normal characters are to be RPed at least three times a week. High-ranking characters are to be RPed at least five times a week.
3: Apprentices must be at least 12 moons old to become warriors, and must have participated in at least three training sessions in each skill (Hunting, fighting, tracking, observation, and survival.). You will have until the end of your apprentice character's Trials to select their warrior name. If you don't select a warrior name, the person who RPs the leader will choose.
4: One moon = 3 real-life weeks.
5: If you are inactive for a week without explanation, I will prod you. Another week, and I'll prod you harder. Another week, and you're booted. Characters can be recovered, but high-ranking characters will be replaced.
6: Breaking the fourth wall is totally allowed!
7: Be sure to notify me if characters become friends, best friends, enemies, mates, or if a cat has a crush on another cat!
8: No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus, spotlighting, powerplaying, or more than one power role per player.
9: Please have realistic names and appearances! No "Laptopdragon" or "Waffleshirt" or "Starconcrete", please. And no bright pink cats, or neon green pelts! I'm open to all eye colours, however, including solid black and solid white.
10: Please follow all of these rules!
11: Have fun!

Wolfeyes padded out of the warrior cave and stretched, yawning. She shook her fur and climbed down towards the fresh-kill pile, glancing up at the top of the crevice as the sun filtered through the top brightly. She took one of the rabbits from the pile that was hunted the day before and carried it off to find a place to sit.
Twistedkit jumped around and played at the moss of his nest for a few moments before he grew bored with it. He looked around the empty nursery with a sigh, there were no queens or other kits at that time and he was alone in the den. He turned towards the nursery entrance and wondered if he should go outside. He was getting a little hungry. He clambered out of the nursery and tried to smell where the fresh-kill pile was, since he wasn't familiar yet with the camp.

Twistedkit watched Tawnystar go to the fresh-kill pile and followed her to where it was. He supposed at least he was old enought to eat prey instead of needing milk from a queen. He sniffed around the pile, trying to find something that was more his size to eat. He found a vole that was half his size and started to drag it back towards the nursery.

Twistedkit finally made it back to the nursery and started to eat, tearing at the vole awkwardly with his crooked muzzle. He glanced up at Autumnstar from time to time.

Twistedkit looked up when he heard Autumnstar's pawsteps approaching and folded his ears back, a bit intimidated by the larger she-cat. He nudged the partly eaten mouse towards her, wondering if that's what she had come for.

"But you had a mother in the nursery, didn't you?" Twistedkit asked. He wasn't old enough yet to fully understand why he didn't have his mother there or that he was abandoned.

"Why did you join the Clan? And if you were a kittypet how did you become leader?" Twistedkit asked, going back to eating the vole.

"Well," Autumnstar mewed, "When I was younger, I was a lot more adventurous and excitable than I am now. It was the dead of Leafbare, and I was exploring the moors on my own. In hindsight, it was a terrible decision, but, hey, I'm a leader now! Anyway. I came across an old MoorClan warrior. His name was Stonefang. Stonefang told me about MoorClan, and I decided to join. He took me back to camp, and the leader at the time, Echostar, gave me my Clan name - back then, it was Autumnkit." She sighed in nostalgia, remembering that day. "A few moons later, I become Autumnpaw, and my mentor was Stonefang. I excelled during training, in all except fighting. It took me several moons to pick up even the simplest moves. But, still, at 14 moons old, I became a warrior. My warrior name was Autumnspirit." She smiled, flicking her tailtip.
"A few moons later, Echostar gave me an apprentice, Blossompaw. She became Blossomheart eventually, but died in battle. Then, there was Patchpaw. Patchpaw never became a warrior. He left the Clan for the life of a rogue. After Patchpaw died, Echostar made me deputy. Then, she gave me another apprentice. Redpaw. Redpaw was a feisty young tom, but too anger-driven for his own good. He was exiled after he killed the medicine cat out of anger." She sighed in sadness. "And to think he had already become known as Redstorm. Anyway! About ten moons after that, Echostar lost her last life to greencough. I become known as Autumnstar, and, well..." She looked around, smiling. "That was one moon ago."

"So you've only been leader for one moon? And it sounds like more cats leave than join the Clan." Twistedkit asked, listening to her story with bright eyes.

Twistedkit pondered for a moment and scratched his ear with a hindpaw. "I guess I had no choice." He shrugged. "I still need to get used to the Clan. Wonder which warrior would even want to mentor me."

"Hmm..." Wolfeyes thought for a moment. "A short patrol maybe. You're still recovering, you don't want to push yourself too much." She said, flicking her large fluffy tail thoughtfully.
