I started thinking about where Warriors sits in my chronology of phases throughout my schooling life. And I thought it would be interesting to see how other people see each of their years.
This is how I define each year, by my most prominent memory that comes to mind: Kindergarten: An artist coming into our kindy and painting a picture of me whistling with a chicken on my head. The whistling was because I would go around humming with my lips pursed (I didn't know how to whistle) and the chicken just because he always drew chickens.
Preschool: I got in trouble for jumping in a puddle, when no one had told me it was a bad thing to do.
Grade 1: Singing the theme tune to The Saddle Club (girly show about horses) loudly in the boys' faces to annoy them.
Grade 2: Meeting my best friend from Germany. She left the same year.
Grade 3: Art. Meeting the boy everyone thought I was destined to be with. I later got back in touch with him via my friend, his new boyfriend. My hopes were dashed.
Grade 4: Handball. Clover discovers the dropdown font menu in Word.
Grade 5: Neopets. I was teacher's pet to a hippie creative writing teacher.
Grade 6: Club Penguin. Writing a paper about nuclear power. Or something.
Grade 7: Moshi Monsters. Being Italian captain purely because no one else applied for it. Not standing up for myself in the face of bullying.
Grade 8: Warriors! And being in nerd class in Catholic school. Nerd class briefly flirts with the notion of free downloadable fonts. This is a revelation; Clover never gets over this phase. I somehow manage to make one of my classmates think that I think I'm a cat. She, along with my whole homeroom, ostracise me but I'm wistfully oblivious until the end of the year.
Grade 9: Terrible Harry Potter fanfiction! Being in nerd class in Anglican school. Some more Warriors. Beta-ing for other people's fanfiction. Initial formal education in graphic design.
Grade 10: Star Wars fanfiction! Minecraft. I am demoted from nerd class to normal class. Our girls' group merges with the social outcasts boys' group. First exclusive relationship. Amateur typography design!
Grade 11: Hardcore Star Wars RPing. I have a minor breakdown due to my own helplessness in the political climate. Relationship fizzles out. I discover that I'm bi.
Grade 12: Getting extensions for assignments. ITS & graphics classes. More typography experimentation. Political blogging.
1st year uni: First proper boyfriend. Uni is scary, but also not scary. Dabbling in gaming. Some more breakdowns.
2nd year uni: Relationship breaks up. Clover takes her first classes in typography! One requires the redesign of a book cover, and this leads to a Warriors renaissance that I'm worried will take up more of my free time than it should.
3rd year uni: Internship is planned, looking forward to it!
I'd really love to hear about your personal learning journeys and how your main phases influenced this. And, of course, where Warriors fits into all of this! Tell us about yourself! And of course it goes without saying, only share what you're comfortable with.

Kindergarten/Nursery: the year of laughing at my friend hiding under the chair when his name was called in registration - and the year of fighting over fake dolls and buggies all day
Foundation year: being a star in the Christmas play and just sitting there on stage beside my friend opening and closing my hands like a twinkling star.
Year one: the year when someone called Henry blamed me and my friend (Fin) when he made someone else's finger bleed. i told the truth and said it wasn't us but Fin chickened out and said we did so we didn't get in any more trouble so that was fun for me. me and Fin were made to sit on a bench away from one another all throughout 'playtime'. we were furious.
Year Two: i was left alone in the playground because Fin decided to play with someone else and ditch me
Year Three: When a stone hit me under the eye and literally just missed blinding me and i didn't think it was a big deal so told my Nan it was nothing important and then the Headteacher told the whole school about a student who was almost blinded and that we mustn't throw stones at one another.
Year Four: the year me and my two friends Maisy and Jasmine wouldn't stop fighting. one time me and Maisy wanted to be in pairs with Jasmine so much that we literally almost tore her in half because we were pulling each arm furiously. we had to have multiple sessions where the teacher sorted out our continuous 'threesome fights' about the stupidest little things. there was no telling which one of us would be left alone in the playground the next playtime.
Year Five: all i remember was being bullied by year sixes and having a terrible teacher who didn't teach us.
Year Six: i punched someone in the arm and on the final day of Year Six i was terrified of being told off all day. oh and the year of saying stupid stuff and having the teacher standing behind me every single flippin time. you'd think i would have learnt to check behind me before saying weird stuff after a while. oh and i discovered Harry Potter this year. the obsession was strong. one of my Nan's died of pancreatic cancer and my Gran died, too. my cat also died during the summer so idk if that counts as yr 6 or yr 7
Year Seven: me being the quiet and weird kid who always got lost throughout the first few weeks of secondary school. ugh and it was the year of wearing my hair in bunches. i also discovered wcf this year and was such a terrible noob. my dog died, too.
Year Eight: my obsession with a boy called Alex. oh wait, i still have that obsession. and this is where warriors, seekers & survivors come in, too. my poor family had to listen to me talk about it constantly. and i rolled down a rock thing on a school trip when the teacher said 'don't step there it's slippery' i wanted to prove him wrong - that failed.
Year 9: exams and teachers blabbering on about GCSE's and how we need to 'concentrate or we'll fail.' and when HOCD got so bad i couldn't control it at all. also anxiety (i think it's anxiety) decided make a home in my brain.
Year 10: well that starts in September. am i looking forward to it? eh. idk anyone in the other half of yr 10 (except my friends) and they're mixing us up. also exams exams exams yay.

Preschool: Milk carton valentines boxes. Average, brownish blue carpet. Lots of cushions. The best I've probably ever been and will be in French.
Kindergarten: Played lots? There was this sandbox that would fill up with water and no matter how many times we were told not to go in it, we did.
Grade 1: Accidentallly stabbed a kid with scissors. Read the first Harry Potter book with some help from my mom.
Grade 2: I always read the same two books at D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) time: Buddy The Seeing Eye Dog and Lassie.
Grade 3: Our teacher was allergic to something in our classroom so we got to have class upstairs in the computer lab all the time.
Grade 4: I got my first and only "detention" for asking someone to use a sharpener during a "quiet work period".
Grade 5: Worst teacher ever. Made me distrust male teachers so badly. He would always a walk into the girls change room during gym to tell us to hurry up.
Grade 6: Teacher was always angry.
Grade 7: Watched a history video and saw male parts for the first time.
Grade 8: Most homework I've ever had.
Grade 9: Why? Beginning of my Randumb phase online.
Grade 10: Was very depressed. God knows why. Began to mature a bit more, but was kind of awful to people.
Grade 11: 10/10 would do again. I loved this year. I was out of my randumb phase.
Grade 12: So stressed all the time. Cried a lot. Maybe you could call this a crying phase.
First year Uni: Starts September 8th. Stay tuned!

preschool: I thought I had friends; looking back I mostly had bullies but I was basically unaware
kindergarten: I didn't like half my friends but I liked throwing leaves
first grade: I got in this sort of competition with this guy and the class would like go back and forth on which one of us was the Smartest Person Ever (example: he got ahead by knowing 8x9=72, but I got ahead by acing every spelling test)
second grade: cool teacher who liked smiley faces and I won a prize
third grade: my friends and I would alternate days playing cats and turtles at recess but when we played turtles I was a rabbit instead
fourth grade: a terrible year overall but I had a couple good friends and a lot of peppermints; a "friend" and I tried to organize Warriors games at recess but then every day it was just her telling me she had sliced my neck and I was dying, so I gave up
fifth grade: a fun year where I basically just went along with my two friends and my frenemy (we hated each other but had the same friends so we were polite) and they did things like make up songs about bananas (I have a banana, you have a banana, we all have, bananas, let's sing)
sixth grade: I made 20 friends and lost 21 and a couple people didn't realize I was capable of talking until months after they met me
seventh grade: I decided to be a jerk and had a pretty fun time; started my comics
eighth grade: I had a pretty fun time until I lost a bunch of friends all at once for no apparent reason and I was used to having friends again so that hurt; I became friends with Adderbite; the DramaTM began
high school as a whole: I almost died several times; I got put on two different antidepressants, both of which had terrible side effects and neither of which worked; I had some really awful teachers, but others were cool; the DramaTM continues to this day
