Darkheart was just about done gathering the moss for her best. Unfortunately, her age slowed her down considerably, so it taken much longer than she thought.
All of a sudden, a racket of leaves rustling and twigs snapping resonated towards her right. She turned, curious, only to hear a second sound: barking. Her hearing wasn't the greatest anymore, but it was a fox at best, or a dog at worst.
Dogs had a nasty habit of tearing their into prey like they were toys. She could remember when she was an apprentice, and one of the younger warriors ran into a dog while hunting... There was nothing left of him to mourn afterwards. Patrols said the area was like a slaughterhouse... And especially as an elder, that would be her if she couldn't get away.
She started to panic, a heavy wheeze coming from her chest as she bunched up and arched her back, ready to hiss and run at the sight of the beast.
The barking and rustling got louder, and she could her the sound of paws beating against the earth. Her eyes weren't the best either, but she didn't miss it when a ball of brown fur shot out of the bushes and ran straight towards her. She didn't even look at the beast properly, and instead let out a terrified hiss and tried to strike with unsheathed claws.
A dog! StarClan help me! she thought as she turned and ran towards the nearest tree, without even noticing if her claws made contact. She bounded up it, barely feeling her claws snag against the bark and start to bleed. The elder was at least three times her size now, her fur fluffed out in all directions and her tail puffed like a cloud.
She quickly reached a low hanging branch, and without looking to see if anything (or anyone) was seated there, pushed her way through the leaves and crouched there, hissing.

Moonpaw was taken by surprise, letting out a loud sequel, tumbling on the ground. She twisted her head to look back at her attacker and giggled when she saw Tulippaw. She started to try to wrestle Tulippaw in order to get on top of her, although Moonpaw's smaller size gave her a disadvantage.

Swiftstorm// "Honestly? I don't know," Swiftstorm replied. "They always get others into trouble, but I always fear that they are going to do something they regret one day. I just hope that they will be fine now." She couldn't keep the hint of worry that slipped in out of her voice. With both of the elders outside, she was worried about them though she tried not to be. What worried her most was the fact she had no idea what they were up to, and she found herself wishing once more that they would stop acting like kits. Ottersplash's eyes flooded with sympathy. His own parents, Bitternfeather and Nightingalesong were long dead, being run down by a badger when he and his littermates were halfway through their apprenticeship. He missed them terribly, but was glad he didn't have to worry about them getting into trouble as their age brought more problems. Rainpool and Truthwatcher were well known in the Clan, and not just for their warrior feats. They were genuinely nice cats, and even though he held no relation to them, Ottersplash would feel terrible if something happened to them. "If you want to go check on them, I'll go with you. We can pretend we're on a hunting patrol, so they don't get upset, thinking we're being nosy," he meowed in response, flicking his tail towards the camp entrance. |

Sneezingsun watched Shadowbriar with a slightly tilted head and a thoughtful gaze that was soon interrupted by a harsh sneeze. Shadowbriar didn't interact with his clanmates too often, and it was a right shame. He'd been a rogue, Sneezingsun knew that much, though he'd joined the clan before he could remember, but other than that, he didn't know too much about the black tom. He should fix that. Standing on shaky legs, Sneezingsun walked over to Shadowbriar and his finch and settled down nearby, "hello," he purred, stretching out his front legs and beginning to groom the slightly patchy fur, stopping once to hack and cough a few times before continuing. Shadowbriar only noticed Sneezingsun when the young tom was sprawling out on his side, making the warrior jump slightly with a growl. He did not know Sneezingsun very well, as he was quite a bit older and socially inept, but he did know of the tom's illness. He didn't flinch as he sneezed and hacked, rather curious as to why such a cat would want to talk to him. He didn't mind of course- sometimes, he got quite lonely by himself, and Sneezingsun had a polite tone, so he allowed himself to indulge in a bit of chatting. "Hello, Sneezingsun," he rumbled in a deep voice, turning the good side of his face towards the young warrior. There wasn't a whole lot of his finch left, but he pushed it towards him with a grumbling meow, before turning to groom as well, "Not much left, but if you're hungry."
(Sneezingsun is so cute; I love his name and his ailment.
Also, yay for being caught up! I got a bit behind, ah, sorry.) |

Truthwatcher pulled away, feeling the brush of Darkheart's claws on her muzzle. She was lucky that both were slower than they used to be, else Truthwatcher would have had claw marks on her muzzle instead of barely scratches, as she saw that Darkheart ran up the same tree Rainpool was in.
Swiftstorm//
Swiftstorm smiled. "Only if you don't mind," She replied, grateful. She was afraid of bringing it up herself, as she didn't want to make Ottersplash upset about wanting to check on her parents instead of sitting and chatting with him. Though she would have preferred to chat, she wanted to first make sure the two elders were alright.

The she-kit did a small shrug. "I don't know," she admitted. "Do you want to play a game? I mean, you can decide." Ghostkit was willing to do anything, since being with Ostrichkit meant not being with Shallowkit. She didn't make decisions, and leaving Shallowkit to play with Ostrichkit was the decision of the day.
Shallowkit//
Digging his claws into the ground, Shallowkit looked up when he saw someone exit the nursery. He half expected it to be Ostrichkit and Ghostkit, and was surprised when he saw Snakekit. With a flick of his tail, he watched the other kit, not making a move to head over to him.

(I'm at work until 11pm my time (so I'll get home around 11:30, and that's mountain time.) so I can't reply to any roleplays right now, as I don't have the time on my break (plus, this phone is broken an terrible so it's hard to reply (8 have a broken 4S I use for texts and a new 6+ I use for internet and apps at home.). Sorry for the inconvenience.
I know the feel about feeling unproductive. I was supposed to work on my Brazil Clan last night but I only edited the colour of some text and added links xD I started it in July (the planning, I mean) on the original forums and I'm still not done, ahah.)
