Is there a limit to how large signatures can be? I haven't tested the limits, but I've seen size varying from one or two lines to 30 or 40 lines if they have pictures. Is there a maximum amount we're allowed?

how many characters does a picture/gif account for? or does it just depend on the size?

how many characters does a picture/gif account for? or does it just depend on the size? Pictures/gifs can be limited by size using a plugin. But I do not know if the mods used it or not. Is there a particular picture or gif you have a link to that you are wanting to try out? You could put it in and see if it gets accepted. |

Not at the moment, but I was just wondering for future reference. I wanted to make sure if I drew a picture or made a gif/ etc that it wasn't going to be rejected lol.

the url is the gifs/photos character size
so if a gif is
[img]theresnothinghere.gif[/img]
then thats 32 characters

There is no size limit to images or gifs, only that they shouldn't be exceedingly large as to be annoying and in the way of the topic and/or reply. I would try to keep images/gifs around 100px or less, as that seems to be the acceptable height as to be unobtrusive to replies and the topic as a whole. It's more of being polite than a strict limit. |
