The Pidgetto far outweighed the Litten in terms of attack, it hardly flinched at their attacks, sending them a hard glare and batting them away with a harsh wind-attack. "Pidgeoo!" It howled again. Keleki put his arm in front of his face to keep the sand from his yes. He peered across at his sister, then at Claw, and grabbed onto both of their hands, giving a squeeze to get their attention. "There's no way we'll win alone! We need to have all our Pokemon fight together!" He holed above the wind, that was quickly picking up and making another small tornado of gust.
Kalahni looked at him with round, wide eyes full of fear. Her Rowlet could never handle a fight against that thing!!! There was just no way, he could hardly take on a caterpie! "Are you crazy?!" She was so protective of her little bird that she hugged him closer, tears starting to form in her eyes. "He'll get hurt!"
"Sis, it'll be okay..." He turned his gaze on her, and his brown eyes were so steeled with resolve, that she could almost melt in them. She believed him... Even though it seemed crazy. But that look told her he wouldn't let her down... Slowly,
Kalahni nodded. "O-...Okay..."
He looked next to Peter with the same determination. "LITTEN!" John exclaimed. Hearing Keleki he looked at "Starly and asked you think you can do that buddy?" Starly looked at John and tweeted in a tone that said yes. Turning to Keleki he said "Starly can do it but Litten won't be able to and won't listen to me anyway." |

"That's alright." Keleki nodded, looking back at the Pidgetto. He looked at it closely, knowing that if they were going to beat the stronger foe, they would have to be smarter than it. Shouldn't be too hard right? He looked down at his Torchic, smiling at it reassuringly, letting them know everything would be alright. He let go of both of their hands and turned back to the massive bird, the gust whipping his black hair in all directions. "Ember! Use leer!" The little fiery bird jumped into action, giving the bird a hard glare, a sparkle in his eyes. The Pidgetto ruffled it's feathers, backing up a bit as it realized the trainers were beginning to work together.
Kalahni noticed it's slight fear, eyes widening. She held out her arm that Poppy was on, pointing at the bird next. "C'mon Poppy! Use tackle!" The bird seemed terrified, looking back at Kalahni. Her eyes were bright, and full of confidence. Poppy trusted her, flying off from her shoulder and hurling his round body into the beast. It worked! It got knocked back a bit,
shaking himself as if to re-center his focus. With an annoyed cry it swiped the bird away with a strong wing, and it was sent tumbling back to Kalahni, slightly damaged, but now Poppy looked ready to keep up the fight!

Litten getting up again saw the other Pokémon working together and used an Ember to start a fire causing smoke to block the pidgeotto's view. |

Akai nodded, they were doing good. Almost unfair for the Pidgeotto, but it had walked into this situation itself. Now it had to deal with the flock of trainers who had started their journey. This was quite the flashy first battle. He remembered his, and it was nothing as fun or as cool as this.

The Pidgetto flapped itself up in the air, rendering Starly's focused attack only slightly effective, as it's balance failed to be knocked over. When Litten started up a small fire, the bird angrily cried, flapping it's wing furiously to blow the smoke, and the small fire away. In the short moment where it was blinded however, Keleki took the moment to attack, landing an Ember attack of his own. "Go Ember!" He called out, gripping his fists. The small bird spit out a small source of fire that landed upon their breast.
"Pidgeo!!" It yelled, glaring at the small chick and swooping down, tearing it's talons across their flank and dealing a surprising amount of damage. It weakly cried and stumbled backwards, their trainer worriedly swooping them in their arms.
Kalahni froze up looking at the blood trickle from the feathers of her brothers partner. That could be Poppy... But they had come too far to back down! Kalahni glared back at the Pidgetto. "Attack Poppy! Give it your all!" The Rowlet pushed itself back up, still a little weak from the enemies last attack, but it summoned back it's adrenaline and rushed in for another tackle, landing a hit before the bird could duck away. However, he didn't leave without a wound of his own. The Pidgetto angrily screeched, pecking after the bird as it tried to fly back to Kalahni. The Rowlet was sent back to the Earth, along with the enemy as it now lacked the strength to fly. "Poppy!" Kalahni rushed forward.
"Finish it off Claw!" Keleki shouted.

The Pidgetto backed up again and again after the flurry of attacks, blocking only some, slapping away the Starly but they kept coming back. The small attacks added up fast, and with all of the other attacks from the other Pokemon he finally collapsed, panting, wings dropped. He didn't have the energy to fly away, so he stood there glaring at the trainers.
It seemed to have little energy, perfect for capture if any of the trainers wanted to capitalize, or they could allow them to run away.
Keleki and Kalahni were too worried with their own Pokemon, huddled together.

Akai moved towards them, Banette and Rowlet by his side. He kept an eye on the Pidgeoto as he walked over to the small group "Good battle guys, i'm surprised you won. Honestly I thought I might have to step in." he was known for being blunt. Rowlet cooed from his shoulder, but looked a little more worried than his trainer. Banette just looked mad.

Litten just went up to the Pidgeotto poking it trying to get a reaction from it. (It doesn't seem fair to catch it when everyone had to work on the Pokémon.) |

Keleki looked up from his Torchic, eyes drowned in worry. He didn't respond to the slight rudeness the sentence carried, proud that they could take the Pokemon down, but guilty for putting his Pokemon through that. He nursed them with a potion, covering the purple based liquid in his hand, then smoothing it down his partner. Kalahni did the same, body shaking slightly. The boy looked up at Claw, smiling as best he could and nodding. "Y-Yeah... I think it's over." after he spoke, the Pidgetto harnessed enough strength to take back to the sky, fleeing from the aftermath of the battle and back into the forests of Route 1.
Soon the Torchic and the Rowlet were back to their normal selves, wounds already on their way to recovery, and their spirits were higher than ever! Poppy had never done anything that amazing before! Keleki's spirits picked up instantly, he hugged Ember close and giggled, praising them. Kalahni on the other hand was still teary eyed and shaken, hugging her Rowlet close and sniffling.

Akai waited for them to gather themselves before he turned to look at the road ahead. At this pace they would never reach the next town "Well," he turned back to face them "You guys all healed up and ready to head out?" he held up a Pokeball "Banette, return. Thanks for your hard work." the doll looked at him and nodded it's head before disappearing in a flash of light. He had fed his Rowlet an oran berry. It had taken some damage, but not much.

"Guess so," Keleki laughed breathlessly, combing a hand through his hair and turning back to the road ahead of them. His first real battle... He and his little buddy had done so well, and he knew ahead of them they had countless more epic duels. The boy grinned, taking one step ahead, then another and another as the team continued onward.
Kalahni fell back behind the others, head bowed.

(I'm so sorry for being a bother as usual Noble lol but I edited Emerald's form with a name change because i started to dislike the name plus just tweaked the team.
