I tried to make the game feel longer and played it slowly. The day I got it I spent at least two hours trying to get a Rowlet with the right nature XD) (So what are the natures? Oh yeah I also wonder traded a wingull for shiny Rowlet.) |

Rowlet couldn't help himself and chirped with laughter at the other antics "What is wrong with you?" he chuckled. Something was off about this little guy. He didn't sound insulting, more genuinely concerned.

Poppy perked up when he got a rise out of the other, shaking out his feathers happily before bunching back yp in circle-mode. "A little slow, I think." He cooed. "Took a long time to hatch, mom say I special." He went back to looking at the berries and tried to remember if he had eaten them just before. He didn't remember. "I just happy there 3 Rowlet here."
He chirped, but that... Seemed weird, there were only 2? Poppy motioned to the mirror, where a reflection of himself sat.

Natures don't really matter if you're just playing in game. But if you want to play competitively you want to get ones with the right nature.)
Rowlet rolled his eyes. So it was... slow. Mentally shrugging he figured that the other would get better. But at this rate things were looking dim for him. Rowlet thought though, that the other Rowlet was quite charming. He had a lot of personality.

"Oh..." Poppy hobbled up to the mirror, bobbing his head left and right and noticing how the reflection matched him perfectly. He tried to understand... But it wasn't really connecting. He began to peck at the mirror, enjoying the sound it made. Kalahni noticed and chuckled, walking over and petting the top of his head.
"A shiny..." She purred in amazement, looking at the blue Rowlet beside her own. Kalahni always adored bird Pokemon, her mom loved them, so she was around them her whole life. She experimentally held out a hand to see if they wanted to step up. "You are very lucky," She spoke to Akai. "Such a pretty pretty bird."

Akai turned his attention away from the other conversation and offered Kalahni a rare genuine smile. He loved his pokemon and it made him happy when other people saw how amazing they were "Yeah, I'm really lucky to have him." he noticed the other Rowlet as well and laughed softly "Rowlets, are great pokemon." he was very fond of them. His Rowlet looked at the girl, then his trainer. He hopped over, trusting his reaction.

Poppy kept pecking the mirror, which made Kalahni burst into soft laughter when Akai said they were great Pokemon. She loved her little bird-brain. "Yeah, they really are." She answered him, carefully smoothing a hand through the feathers of the Rowlet's back. "You on a Pokemon journey yourself?" She asked the boy.

Rowlet hooted, pleased with the attention. After spending enough time with Akai, anyone would pick up on his need for attention. Rowlet had been with him long enough to enjoy attention himself, though not to the extent of his trainer.

"I'm just joining him to make sure he doesn't do anything too stupid." She laughed, scratching the feathers of the Rowlet's round head akin to how birds would preen one another.

Kalahni looked back up at Akai, smiling gratefully and handing the Rowlet back to their owner. Just then Poppy came and flew over, sitting on the top of her head. "Thanks," She smiled, a faint trace of a blush touching her cheeks at the compliment. "My mom always had bird Pokemon around when we were younger, there's a lot of intelligence in birds, you know? I just don't think people give them enough credit." Poppy began to pick at Kalahni's strands of hair in an affectionate preening of his own. "Enough about me though, where you from?" She leaned against the counter, giving him a warm, friendly smile.

Akai held out his arm and the Rowlet landed on his forearm "I'm originally from Johto, though I moved to Alola, then came here. The parents travel a lot." he shrugged "It's nice to travel around. I'm hoping we'll go to Kalos next." Akai joked about moving, but a part of him knew it would be nice to settle down. That part of him was crushed as soon as he realized it existed. Travelling was much too fun. "What about you?"
