Lightningshadow relaxed and kept her muzzle in his fur. It didn't take long for her to drift to sleep.

Brackengaze yawned, "yeah, your right" He curled up on the grass, "no. Need to.. Sleep in nest" he slept in the sunlight, curled up considerably close to Crowshadow. Ashfeather padded up to the two cats, eyebrows furrowed in discomfort. "You're telling me," she growled irritably once she was within earshot, shaking out her thick, grey fur. "It's too hot to do anything productive".

Swiftstripe moaned. "You're telling me." The she-cat repeated, hoisted herself off the ground and picked up a finch she had caught earlier from the fresh kill pile and begun to pluck some of its feathers.

Ashfeather flopped down onto the ground beside Swiftstripe, letting out a heavy sigh as she did so. "I can't wait until leaf-bare", she mused out loud to no one in particular. "Everything is just so much calmer, and it isn't boiling hot all day and night".

Unknowing what to do, Snowpaw padded out of the apprentices den and padded up to Swiftstripe. "Hey um, you don't mind if you just take me out to hunt, do you?" And then run away and do your own business. As simple as that.

Snowpaw wanted to grumble, but it was rude. Especially since I'm in front of Ashfeather. She looked down, scrapping the floor with her claws. I still don't see why we have to go out with a warrior. It's such a stupid rule. Snowpaw stared at Swiftstripe's finch. Maybe I should have asked someone else.
