Mapleblaze stopped, crouched, and leaped onto the bush she had been hiding in, "I know you're in here!" he called out playfully.

Russetclaw turned away from the Fresh kill pile and looked around camp, seeing Silvershadow in front of the warrior den. He padded over to his follow denmate, Russetclaw felt something was off with him as for some reason he was bring slightly more sociable then usual.

Pinefrost was curled up in the curved nook of a fir tree, shaded and in a light doze. It wasn't situated far from the camp. That way he could arrive quickly in an emergency. But it was far enough away that the business noise of camp and chattering of clanmates was nothing but a murmur. Perfect spot for a nap really.
"I know you're in here!"
Pinefrost's eyes peeled open, a grieved expression on his face. He could tell by the tone of the voice that some young warriors were fooling about. The dark tom flattened his ears against his skull, hoping they would go on their way soon.

Hushclaw was observing the kit attack on Oakstar with a very satisfied smirk. She silently cheered the kits onward. Don't let him trick ya! That's right, get the mousebrain. Yeah!
There was something so reassuring about kits playing battle. It meant they were eager to learn and desired to defend their clan. It also meant that no recent tragedies had struck the clan. There was nothing quite as bleak as the silent worried eyes that peek from a nursery after a lost battle. Seeing the kits of a clan happy was a sign to a clan's health and bright future.

Lightningshadow purred and jumped on him. She was no match for his size and strength but she would give it a try. She steadied herself on his back and playfully grabbed his scruff.

Mapleblaze laughed and reared back, landing back on his paws, he leaned down and shook his shoulders, trying to shake the smaller cat off.

Lightingshadow gasped as she slipped off of Mapleblaze's back. she crouched on the ground pretending to be defeated. She looked up at the tom. His fur all messed up from her.

Silvershadow nodded, "yeah, new warriors and I'm sure there will be kits soon enough... But at least all these new warriors help to ensure we're well fed for the time being." Her ear flicked and she smiled brightly.

He turned around and laughed, seeing her on the ground, he set a paw on her shoulder. "Hah! Caught you!" he declared.

Lightningshadow gave a small purr as he loosened his grip. Quickly she shot out of his grip and into the forest. "Your going to have to do better than that!" She called back. She ran as fast as she could until she got tired. She started walking and panting trying to catch her breath.

"Yeah the new warriors would have more energy to be outside camp." Russetclaw nodded in agreement and looked at Silvershadow. "They're willing to do best for the clan no matter what happens."

He looked around, and spotted her. Trying to be stealthy, Mapleblaze moved to be behind of Lightningshadow and crouched down, getting ready to pounce.

Lightingshadow heard movement behind her. She knew Mapleblaze was there. She wondered if he was going to attack again or just come walk with her. She liked the tom, he was funny and playful. She wished he liked her as much as she liked him.

Pinefrost had half a mind to lean out from his perch in the tree to hiss at his noisy clanmates, but they soon raced off into the forest, taking their noise with them. It was quiet once more. He was wide awake now though, so he sat up, thinking to himself. He looked in the direction of the camp. From his advantage point, between the tree branches, he could see partially into the gorge, but not far enough to make out any clanmates. Unconsciously he began flexing his claws. He let out a small sigh and his pale green eyes moved slowly down to his claws. He slapped his tail over his paws when he realized what he was doing. After another moment on frowning at his feet, he seemed to come to a decision.
No time to dwell then, was there? He stood up and began climbing meticulously back down the tree. Leaping the last few tail-lengths to the soft forest ground, Pinefrost headed back to camp.

Lightningshadow rolled her eyes and purred. She pressed against him and tucked her head in his shoulder fur. She hopped he knew how to act like a tom. She closed her eyes and breathed in his spruce wood scent.
