Hollypaw sniffed the air, this time looking for prey. She sented a squirrel and croutched down to talk it," squirrel," she wispered, as she slowly stalked forward. But Hollypaw took to long, the squirrel straitened up and started to scarmper towards a tree, Hollypaw leaped after it but missed and pelted away, chasing the squirrel till it ran up a tree," Mouse dung!i 'm no good at hunting!" she meowed and sat down to chatch her breath.

hey flickering! you still there?? want to rp the kits? they were anbushing Rainwhisker, is Rainwhisker on??))

Greycloud padded out of the nursery and walked towards the fresh kill pile. She picked out a plump mouse and lay down to eat it in a patch of week sunlight.

Darktalon poked her dark head out of the warriors den. The sky was a light blue and the sun shone brightly above her. She spotted Greycloud by the fresh kill pile and decided to go over aswell. Sitting down next to her, Darktalon picked out a plump looking thrush and began to take small bites out of it. After finishing her bird, she looked up from her paws and began to talk to Greycloud "It's a nice day today" she remarked "How are you?" she asked smiling.

Darktalon smiled "that's great news" she said happily, but at the back of her mind a thought clawed at her. She had wanted an apprentice since she had become a warrior. The thought of passing on her knowledge to a younger cat exited her. The though of new experiences and friends... It would be so fresh. Darktalon forced her tail to stop twitching excitedly and changed the subject "So... Are you busy today... I mean with the kits, or do you have time to hunt." she asked hopefully. Darktalon hadn't left the camp in a few days and was itching to go out on a patrol, no matter what kind.

" oh star clan! i haven't been out of camp in moons!" Greycloud meowed and streached her legs, arching her back. She nodded," i could go hunt, but i'd better ask someone to keep an eye on the kits," she meowed looking around," maybe Smokepelt.."

"Sounds like a great idea!" Brackengaze replied, approvingly.

Brackengaze cruched low until the grass brushed his belly, he signaled to Hollypaw and lowered his head, prepared to trap the water vole between his brown paws.

ok! you can pick which kit you want to mentor! Pineconekit can be prickly but is always up for a challange! Turtlekit may be shy and small but she is agile. Emberkit is smart( not that the others aren't too!)and very intent on becoming a warrior!))

" i can go find Smokepelt," greycloud meowed and padded off and into the nursery, looking for smokepelt," Smokepelt?" she wispered in case she was sleeping.

The tom was prepared and as soon as the vole scampered towards him, Brackengaze rose from where he was, looming over the water vole. The vole screeched and turned around but Brackengaze had trapped it with his paws. Waving his tail to Hollypaw, Brackengaze gave the killing bite. "Wow! That was fun!" He meowed to Hollypaw.

Hushclaw awoke with a crick in her neck. She groaned and tried to stretch it out, but only suceeded in making herself more uncomfortable.
"Dumb, moss. Hard as a rock. What time is it?" She glared accusingly at the daylight outside the log, "Why didn't someone wake me? I may be an elder, but I'm not a laze-about!"
She grumbled as she got to her paws and stretched out the kinks in her muscles.


Pouncepaw was indeed out. Just as Loonfeather had been looking for her in the apprentice den, Pouncepaw mewed a goodbye to the other apprentices and went over to the elders den to check on Hushclaw. The cranky shecat was normally such an early riser, it was odd that she wasn't sunning herself outside the den yet.
Stepping into the log she was greeted by a critical voice, "About time. Pouncepaw, my nest needs fresh moss. Get on that, stat." Hushclaw was grooming herself with a disinterested expression.
Pouncepaw smiled happily, "Oh good you're alive. I was worried when I didn't see you outside."
Hushclaw nearly choked on her fur as she spluttered, "OF course I'm ALIVE. I'm not that OLD! G-get out and go get me new moss!"
She hissed the last bit with such vehemence that Pouncepaw sprang out of the den and sprinted out of camp, her fur on end.
