Auransky(Oh I am laughing so hard. XD ) It hurt Tom. He had to speed around the block before he could start to follow the other vampire again. Now he was watching him as he took a street parallel to the one Rowlin was biking down. Tom had to watch him through the turn off roads. "grumble...Illegally...mutter...police should arrest him...mumble...making this difficult..." was what Tom said under his breath as he slowed his speed back to the limit. He didn't want to get arrested at this point, not after all the trouble he'd been through. He took out a road map, for appearance sake, and grabbed a hoodie from the seat next to him. At a stop sign he manged to wiggle it on and put the hood up. There. Now even if Rowlin got to look in the windows he wouldn't recognize him at once. He'd have to park the car again soon though, even if Rowlin didn't notice it, it was almost out of gas.

(You're laughing? I'm laughing! You are evil for giving Tom an almost empty tank. It's a role play lol #RealWorldProblems ) (Need to go the bed real soon. Got work tomorrow. Q.Q ) mintedstar/furOf course Rowlin was taking advantage of doing bad choices on the road. He was on a bike. Just like in the U.k he was used to just squeezing through everything. He also enjoyed it in his time visiting California, just line splitting and it being perfectly legal. He paused at a streetlight seeing the roads ahead, they led out of town, he had quite a distance to still cover before making it to his destination. Yet a new concern came to mind. is it really okay to intrude on such short notice? seeing the light change he continued his way , he needed advice, and he seemed it quickly.

Auransky The two blinked in confusion before nodding. "We got carried away again, huh?" Viola asked as she fiddled with the ends of her shirt sleeves. "Probably, but you were more reasonable than usual." Kai said with a shrug as he heard footsteps going towards their mothers office. "What do you think is going on?" "Why do you think I came here first?" She whispered angrily as she rubbed her wrist. Usually she made all her reports directly to Elizabeth, but this was different. Hearing the door opened, she turned towards it to meet Celestia's gaze. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't surprised you're here." She said nonchalantly as she ushered the two in, closing the door behind them and locking it from the inside. "Look, don't be mad at me okay? I didn't.." Aika took in a deep sigh before looking at the two, her gaze seeming broken in a way,"..I didn't hurt anyone, alright? Somehow, I became tethered and I don't know how. All I know is that I have this-" quickly, she showed the two a small, golden key with a red string tied to it,"-and I know who I'm tethered to. And....I can sense the tether, the line that connects us. If I remember correctly tethers become harder to break upon each of the people bonded awareness of it. What's even worse is I can see it now, not as a line but a faint glow." "Well, first of all, who is it? We can't really help until we know who it is we either need to disconnect from you or make aware of this bond." Silence filled the air as Aika frowned. "It's Dalton Black." "W-What? You're telling me, out of all people, you're tethered Detective Black's kid? He's our only chance to restore the VDA Aika! How did this happen?!" Her eyes closed as her hands curled into fists. "I have no idea. I only found this out recently. The odd thing is I'm positive I wiped his memory before I left all those years ago. How else am I able to work with him now without him knowing my identity?" What Aika said was true, for Heart Seekers it's impossible to use mind altering effects on the people their bonded with.

featherleg Damien fell silent for a brief moment. Seeing the two come to a relieving conclusion was a kid sign on his end. He stumbled as a new thought crossed his mind. "I'M gonna go check on the kitchen. Just to be sure that dad turned down the flame. Urian should be here soon, Kai answer the door if he knocks. And if he asks for mom and dad, just tell him they are busy at the moment." He instructed then fEed over for the kitchen. dad won't leave anything on, but considering he just ran upstairs he might have...he Reached the kitchen, then walked Long the counters checking each appliance to be off. It sent tranquility down his worries. Reaching the stove he noticed the dim flame, he hesitated on leaving it on. Better to be safe them sorry he shut it off. Derrick leaned back at the thought. He wanted to scold her sternly on the importance of priorities, yet at the same time he couldn't help but feel the need to wrap his arms around her like he does with his own children. He took in a deep breath now, she was broken, and simply acting on defense. "Listen, Aika we worry about your well being constantly. We know you to be a responsible young lady, and for that we respect your choices. But in fair honesty, who wouldn't react in such a manor after learning such news. Especially who is involved." Derrick justified his argunent. He now fell silent at the thought. It was a co-worker, which was bad on many levels. The biggest being Black's kid. The fact that it was happening within the VDA was disaster waiting to happen. As if the VDA didn't have enough issues. "The fact that you did wipe his memories all those years ago might be your last life line at this point." He muttered. " at this point anything can happen. It's like tug of war, and if he wins your entire life might just become his best new York seller. " He snapped his fingers while swaying his hand downward. "All the memories once forgotten, and ones you have will fill him like a balloon. That can potentially lead to trama, and suicide if not overwhelmed by irrational death." He bit his lower lip in concern. "How's his physical condition at the moment? Or the last time you saw him? Sleep walking, zoning out, ending up in places without knowing how he got there in the first place?" He paused, " anyone else might notice these details so if you here anything keep in mind that it probably has to do with the issue at hand... " He turned towards Celestia, "is there any possibility of this also being like a GPS between the two? where one always will be able to know where the other is? If that is a possobility, that boy might unconsciously be following her without really knowing why or where he's going."

Auransky(Because the 'poor' guy just needs more problems in his life. Also, Rowlin is unknowingly doing a very good job of adding problems to his life.) Tom was spitting mad at this point. "Next time, oh I swear, next time he does that without warning...." He really started to have trouble when Rowlin took the route out of town. "Why didn't I see that coming?" muttered Tom to himself as he leaned his chin on the searing wheel in exasperation. He maybe had ten minutes of gas left, if he was lucky. But it was going to be a pain finding the truck again after this. It would also be harder to track Rowlin unnoticed once he left town. "Gah, I'm getting to old for this," complained the immortal vampire. "I thought I'd finished this forty years ago." He pushed the gas peddle as the light changed. He had to get further ahead to keep up with Rowlin's bad choices. "Maybe he'll get hit or something?" said Tom, only half joking. He was really in a bad mood now.

mintedstar/fur((LOL Problems are good. )) ((But I'm not gonna make it all in vain.)) Rowlin continued along the road leading away from Embra, seeing the light only a few blocks behind him he slowed his pace keeping an eye on the left for the small routes leading up hill. He stopped only a few blocks, signaling left then took a small route going up hill. He was following his GPS the entire time not really focusing on anything else around his surroundings. He was also busy thinking of soft talk so he wouldn't awkwardly walk into a long awaited reunion. The farther up hill he made it, the more trees there were. But the only good thing was that it was only one road, unless the dirt forest clearings counted. Eventually after making his way up the road evened itself, and down at the end was the house on its own, the destination finish line.

Auransky Tom had had to ditch the truck at the base of uphill route. There was no way it would make it up the raise. He kicked a couple of pebbles along the asphalt, moving at a normal human pace, not letting Rowlin catch sight of him. He walked just inside the cover of the trees, picking up a little speed as he got more cover. He was glad that it was easier to track him now. Even if he did lose sight of the vampire there was nowhere to go. The house up ahead was clearly his destination. Question was, once Rowlin entered the house, what would Tom do? He crouched down in the shadows of a bush. Could he listen at a window? Sneak in himself? Both were options, but very risky. Could he gain anything from just knowing the location of the house? But that told him nothing about Rowlin. He'd mentioned friends, to, so Thomas should be careful that he didn't draw their attention either. He could at least find out who these friends where, right? Rowlin had made it sound like they were pretty powerful. Rowlin himself was clearly powerful, bracelets or not. Tom's eyes narrowed. Powerful vampires, humans, or witches, it didn't really matter. Powerful beings had a better chance of catching him. Not good. Better stick with watching for a couple of minutes. Maybe try a back window later.

mintedstar/fur ((Before I reply, let me thank you for making my morning! My professor was giving lecture, and I refreshed this cuz why not. Read the RP post and was trying so hard to not laugh out loud in class. )) ((Tom's thoughts to the situation alone each have some troublesome outcome. Unless he gives up and I dunno goes home.)) (( Feather shouldn't mind me tossing you into streamline plot)) ((Pft besides, two VDA officers in one household. A fireman trained in close combat, a teacher who specializes in Magic, did I mention the firemen, and teacher are married? ,and three children. I see absolutely nothing wrong-)) ((B-But we might need to wait for Feather at this point)) Reaching the house's driveway Rowlin parked the bike on the side. He was silent taking in the sounds of nature surrounding in the background. He then took in a breath, before removing the helmet and adjusting it on the bike. He then shut locked the bike's system, before placing it on its break pedal. He would ocassionally glimpse towards the house, he was hesitating himself about being here in the first place. He hasn't seen them in so long, and yet being encouraged he still felt bad. But-I need to tell them about the restrictions backfiring on their actual function.... and there is also about that girl at the bookstore. Maybe Celestia and Derrick can give me tips on not being so awkward with her? Once the bike was secured he retrieved his messenger bag, then stepped away from the bike. He couldn't help but look at the house once more before stepping forward some. Everything I been through, and a door is holding me back...

Auransky"O-Okay..."Kai turned towards Viola who seemed bored once again. "I'll be here if you need me sis." He said as he sat down on the small couch that was by the door. "Kay, I'm going back to my room then." Viola quickly ran back to her room upstairs. "I know you both worry, and I appreciate it. Honestly I do. It's just disheartening at times when I sense fear from anyone I trust, especially you too." Fear, hatred, nervousness. Any aggressive emotion she could sense immediately from someone, and most times she knew where that emotion was being directed. "I think if he wins, then I'll be trapped in cage I'll never be able to get out of. That's only if we let the VDA get to him though." At the mention of potential suicide or self harm, Aika's eyes narrowed, her posture become even more defensive. "That won't happen. Any and all memories that have been sealed from him are barely harmful. It's the process of remembering that is, and will be." "We can't be sure of that yet Aika. Sadly I won't be able to give him any type of direct diagnosis without creating suspicion."Celestia turned slightly towards Derick as she shrugged."She has the key that holds the connection between them. If anything, any time that key 'glows' it's showing the connection is building in both awareness and strength. Until the tether is made fully aware, he won't know he's connected to her. Aika, how is he doing now?" Aika's gaze wandered as she frowned. "He's sick. High fever, keeps making impulse decisions. I'm afraid the barrier in his mind is breaking due to either the strength of it or from the tether overpowering it. Maybe it's both. All I know is that we have a time limit of roughly two months to get as much corrupted information as we can out of VDA and restore the servers to what they were." "That's only if we get the chance." Celestia muttered as she shook her head. "It's been years since any Vampire or Magic Borne has been in the VDA without being harmed. Who's to say that overriding the servers will allow any of us safe travel?" "We won't know until we try Cel. Besides, if we don't get this right, we will all have to return to life within the Court. None of us want that." Taking in a deep breath, Celestia nodded. "My children deserve to live outside of the Court. It's the least I can do for them. However, there is on thing I need to check before I start any research on this for you." "And that is?" In one quick motion, Celestia had grabbed Aika's wrist, causing a light to glow from her palm and travel up her arm. Within seconds Aika was paralyzed, allowing Celestia enough time to open her mouth and to reveal her fangs, which usually sat hidden in her gums above where her canines were and could only appear by her revealing them or by someone pressing certain pressure points on her body with enough force. Upon inspecting them, she released her from her grasp. "What was that for?!" "Had to check to see if they were clean--which they are. Safety precautions, for all I know you could have torn someone's heart out and we wouldn't have know the difference. Like it or not, your bloodlust is going to catch up with you Aika. You haven't fed properly in almost one hundred years. That will take a toll on you, as will this tether. Any damage Dalton takes will be reduce by you no matter what state the connection reaches. Your body will taken the damage immediately since you can harbor more injuries than he can. If the tether is completed he'll have free reign over your powers. That includes Kyv if he finds out about her. You do have a choice in whether you want to break the tether, however, but it become more difficult as times progresses."

featherlegmintedstar/fur((Welp my Clowfish are dead... )) ((They were killed the same way my blue Dragonette was. I need to hurry up and set up my new system Q.Q )) Rowlin had finally made his way to the front door. He was hesitating but after much procrastinating slowly towards the front door, he straightened up then knocked. He remained calm, but there was still doubt on the other end. 40 years? .... worst comes to worst, I get yelled at right? He took in another breath awaiting for the door to open. He wasn't so sure what to expect, it was partly his fault for flying off the radar. But at the same time his excitement in flowing through life keeps him preocupied. I mean I do a lot of things-sorta.... and usually find myself wishing it was summer break at the end of all the grading... well whatever happens happens. I'm here, no turning back!Derrick crossed his arms tightly at the thought, then let out a rather heavy shrug. "Worrying is what lets us wake up in the morning." His voice softened at the thought. "Just like our children, we see you as our own daughter. Going out, doing what she believes is right. Of course we worry, because you are family to us, my dear." He paused, relaxing his rough grip on himself. "I'm sorry for thinking the worst. I trust things will go well if we work through this. But just like anyone's physical limitations, without sleep everything starts to function incorrectly. It decreases health, and causes one to act irrationally over time because their brain is literally falling asleep on them while they are physically awake. For that I mention the worst, no because of the memories, but for how he himself may be acting." ((Not because this legit happened to me last week on the road or anything...))"Two months..." Derrick frowned a bit at the thought. "Though it seems like a lot of time, the clock runs faster then we blink. So we need to start collecting sources, connections, and just about any workaround to get what is of most importance. The issue-is that we can't go around just asking anyone for help, but asking indirectly for loose ends then going from there might help." He considered. He fell silent at the mention of the courts, he understood completely Celestia's dreams for their children. Derrick couldn't help but release a whistle of astonishment, seeing Celestia paralyze Aika to inspect her fangs. It was those sorts of things that just left him fluttering with butterflies for his wife. The fact that she won't let anything slide or let anyone walk over her. It still baffled him to this day how this marriage happened in the first place. She was the only person he couldn't find himself to completely order around after their time spent together. Hearing the mention of blood he straightened up now at the thought. He covered his mouth with a fist, while coughing. "C-Celestia if you feel her nutrition is of upmost importance I can....assist...." He softly spoke up. Seeing Celestia worry was the last thing he wished to see, on top of that Aika was his princess no matter how much time had passed, and at heart he would continue to fulfill his duties to her needs.

featherleg Auransky(Aw, that's sad. Sorry about your fish. ) Tom was laying, on his stomach, on what passed for grass, but was closer to a mix of leave litter and pine needles. His eyes where half closed and only the pattern of light through the tree lit him. Laying like this helped minimize the chances of being seen, but it was also uncomfortable. He swore a bug was trying to crawl down the back of his neck but every time he reached back there nothing happened to stop the feeling. Just go in already, he willed Rowlin. I can't lay here forever. His chin rested on his folded arms and he waited, wondering why the vampire was hesitating so much. Thomas had forgotten in the last forty years how much this type of thing relayed on the waiting. He was itching to move, to find out things. But he couldn't do that without knowing what was happening inside the house. Someone had to answer the door for that or Rowlin had to go in. Then everyone, or most everyone, would be partially distracted by the newcomer. After a couple of seconds he shifted, standing in a low crouch. He froze, making sure no one had seen him. Then he started to circle the house. Back window it was. But he moved slowly, half to make sure no one saw his movement and half to leave Rowlin time to get in the house.

featherleg "Are you ready for this?" Lucas asked as he walked toward Selena to join her. He didn't know what to expect, or even what he was getting himself into, but it was too late to back out now. MistyShe nodded towards him as she smiled faintly at him. "As ready as I'll ever be. What do you want to do first? Make partial amends with Elizabeth, officially file yourself as a Flamed Tongue to the Court, or do some fire bending training?" While it wasn't a pressing matter yet, having his vampiric status officially filed would make life just a bit easier.

featherlegLucas gently bit his lower lip, mulling over each of the options Selena gave. "Let's start with the second thing - officially filing myself to the Court," he decided. It seemed like the most logical place to start, as he wasn't entirely sure what he would say to Elizabeth or that he wanted to start fire bending training. The latter was still so new to him, and he found it somewhat unnerving as he had gotten along without it for years.

AuranskyHearing the door ring, Kai jumped off the couch and hurried over to the door, opening it and peering his head out to meet Rowlin's gaze. "H-Hello, can I help you?" A friend of mom and dad's maybe?Derrick's comment caught her off guard as she froze on the spot. "I...didn't know that. Thank you for considering me as such." Family had always been a touchy subject for her, both the concept and the actual manner. To be considered as family to anyone meant more than anything to her, but she wouldn't mention that now. "I-It's fine. I've become use to it." Her toned seemed rather defeated but it was truthful nonetheless. "He has been acting strange since he entered--gods I forgot to mention how this started. He was sent into the Swan's Fountain with another team mate. All the blood magic that's frozen there might have be an catalyst of sorts. I...was there, but in disguise to make sure they would leave. You both know the things that crawl around in there, it's not a place two unaware VDA agents should be." "They were sent there?" Aika nodded as she sat down at Celestia's desk chair, her hand rubbing her jawline as her whole jaw felt sore from her fangs being revealed in such a long time. "Calhoun sent them in. They collected some samples, both of blood magic and frost magic. Not sure how much research has been done on either accounts." "Alright...so we need to consider that as well. Rowlin is working in the VDA now, yes? Perhaps he can extend his reach to places you can't access right now?" "We've talked briefly on it, but honestly I don't think we'll be able to get him to commit as quickly as we'd like. Kid has his own issues that need addressing." At the mention of letting himself be fed upon, Celestia turned towards him, a mix of frustration and general heart break cemented in her eyes. "No! You've", her voice dropped from a slight shout down into a whisper,"you've done enough to help her in that way. Besides you....you wouldn't be able to handle it. Her hunger isn't what it use to be. I know you want to help dear, but please, not like that. Not anymore."

Misty "Good choice. They usually prefer to have any vampires restate their generation if it was never made aware to them soon rather than later. I should warn you though, the general populous of Flamed Tongue like to stay united." She explained as they made their way towards her car that was parked a ways away from the barrier. "Some may try to recruit you, other generations like Mind Reapers or Blood Seekers might try to hire you into their garrison. Of course I won't allow them, but it's something to keep in mind. I'm guessing you haven't been to the Court in awhile, so some aspects of it may seem different."

featherleg mintedstar/fur ((I FINISHED MY TEST!!!!! Oh that was brutal Q.Q)) Rowlin saw the door open, and was a little surrpised to not see someone well-at eye level. Quickly his attention shifted down towards Kai. He blinked for a moment, was there something he was missing. Did he go to the wrong house, no he followed Derrick's instructions. Were they babysitting? ..... He blinked once more his illuminating green eyes meeting the boy's gaze. "I am looking for Derrick, and Celestia." He stated in a rather blunt voice. This threw him completely off guard, just what has he missed in the last forty years? "I was invited to join the household for dinner." This is awkward.... was I supposed to tell them I was someone specfici, did I hit the wrong house, or did I fly off my bike hit a grave? ...."U-Um... may I come in?" His Irish accent took over as he grew shy of the turn of eents. Derrick smiled, "I always considered you like my daughter in a way. So off course we worry, it's for your well being. So do consider our emotions in a different light from here on in, it's for your concern and well being going up against the big cold world." He lightly chuckled, wanting to bring minor comfort to her. She's been through a lot, and still is...bt she needs to remember to stop and laugh every now and then."Back up, Swan Fountain? That is probably the best place to start on this whole thing." He shifted his feet roughly against the ground. "Considering its history, and frozen magic as you stated I wouldn't be surprised if it was a fluke. But at the same time-I can't help but feel like it was somewhat intended. I mean-Calhoun's invovled, so there something to gain from it right?" He raised a brow. "Now I'm not accusing anyone, i'm just trying to think of every possible motive. We don't have room for error if two months is ticking on us." He turned his attention over towards Celestia, "Two months and ticking, I think that boy needs to help. Besides, he's a great multitasker, having personal issues and helping with someone elses issues all the same time. He's out here, why not use him to our full advantage?" He returned his gaze over to Aika. "After all, you said two months. We don't exactly have an army we can back up on, so right now we should take all the straws we can grasp at." Derrick flinched a little towards Celestia's sudden reaction. It was the last thing he expected from her, it wasn't like her, it seemed to hold more fear on the matter. He leaned over then reached out for her hands, "Listen, she's matured true enough. But as I said before, we're not exactly riding on a golden carpet. She has plenty of issues on her plate, the least we can do is prevent another one from arising." He leaned forward some more to whisper right into her ear, "Worst comes to worst, I get time off and binge watch all my shows." He leaned back out with a rather charming smile. He knew it was costly, but there were were several people in his life who he would gladly toss himself into the fire for. "Also, I'd rather not have Aika reaching that point of potentially blowing her cover in the VDA."

I'll behave," he reassured her as he followed her to her car. "Right now, that's not anything I want to consider. I'm just figuring everything out and getting used to it. I don't want to be in over my head any more than I am now. Um, yeah, it's been a while since I've been to the Court. I'm not even sure what to expect."

Auransky and featherlegFinally! thought Tom as he saw the door open. He was crouched down again, having flinched into that position when the door was opened. He was on edge. From what Rowlin had said, he had thought this would be harder. But don’t go adding your own entertainment. That’s what got you and Eveline in this mess. Leaving town and the like, chastised Tom. He watched. The house was far too large. It would be hard to judge how many people lived there without looking into some windows. Tom hesitated, unsure if that was his reckless behavior talking or his old ‘I know how to find information that I need’ instincts coming back. He was half way around the house already. A couple of windows where already in view. It would be easy. But Tom wasn’t sure…. Eh, reckless behavior hadn’t killed him yet. He shot out of the cover of the trees, vampire speed taking him through the cleared-out area between the forest and the house. He pressed his back to the house’s wall, breath he didn’t need coming in small bursts. He closed his eyes, relying on his ears. Shouts? Call of ‘What are you doing?’ Anything?

MistySelena chuckled as she shook her head while she reached into her pocket for her car keys. "I wouldn't expect any less from you." Her thumb quickly pressed the button to open the car before she got in. "As long as you're respectful to whatever royals that are there, we should be fine. That's another thing we should keep in mind. Vampiric Royalty means much more now than it ever did, which is hilarious since it's always be a major factor of our species. Currently, Prince Ryoma is trying to get his sister--and our dear friend--back to Japan. He may not look it, but any piece of parchment he has written on in the past month has shown he is desperate to get her back. He even went so far to send her bodyguard in attempt to retrieve her. Too bad loyalties exist, huh?" Once Lucas had gotten inside, she started to drive away at a slow pace that picked up every ten minutes or so. "Frozen Hearts--generation six vampires--are trying to win themselves a seat in the Court. However, the incident at the Swan's Fountain is a huge limitation for them, and they're reminded of it on a daily basis. The Court won't allow any of their royalty to even serve as part of any staffing for the Court until they say which one of their vampires did it. A rather heavy burden to carry, and an even harder question to find the answer too. I'd suggest avoiding conversation with any of them. If one finds out your a Flamed Tongue, they'll assume you serve under Dasco Val no matter what you say."

featherleg"I can do respectful as long as no one tries to [peeve] me off," he said with a shrug. Hopefully no one would make him angry because he didn't want to start trouble with any of the Court members. "Maybe it's been a major factor for most vampires, but I haven't really give a damn about it. Never really wanted to get involved in all of it, but it looks like I have anyway. It's probably about to bite me in the [butt]." He let out a snort and rolled his eyes. "Guess it really is a shame that loyalties exist." "Incident?" Lucas asked, raising an eyebrow and turning his head to look at his sister. "I'm not sure I know exactly what you're referring to, and it sounds like something I should probably know about. Judging from what you said, whatever happened sounds pretty awful, but the Court's reaction to it doesn't seem quite fair." He let out a sigh as he pushed a hand through his hair. "Of course, what do I know about any of this," he mumbled as he turned his head to look out the window. "I'll do what I can about avoiding them, but I can't make any promises about that," he said louder. "But I'll try keep my mouth shut about being a Flamed Tongue. ...Say, why would they automatically assume I serve him? It seems like an unreasonable assumption."

Auransky"O-Oh, you must be friends with Mom and Dad then." How many people do they know that we don't? He moved away from the door, pulling it towards him to give Rowlin some space to enter. "Their upstairs with our Aunt...Aika? Yeah, that's her name." He muttered to himself as he nodded. "Not sure if you want to join them, but they're in my Mom's office. Second floor, third room in the left corridor." He pointed towards the staircase leading upstairs as he closed the door behind him. Aika nodded as her elbows rested on her knees. "I will Derrick, or at least try to." If only Ryoma would take a page out of your book, we might be on better terms...then again, anything would make our relationship better. "If Calhoun's involved, that means we're in danger. According to record files, he was in training for the VDA long before he joined. His family was taken out by a rouge Mind Reaper when he was ten and the VDA took him in afterwards. Whenever he joined he was suppose to be Detective Black's prodigy, but that never happened due to..well, you know. From what I understand President Steele has him under his direct control. All of his missions are tied to research the first three vampiric generations. Not only that but they're looking for the Artifacts again, what better place to start looking than the most unstable power house in Embra?" Aika tapped her finger against her chin as she considered his perspective. "I won't deny his skills, however we need to see if those skills are still as sharp as they were. We may be short on time, but I won't recruit anyone into this without knowing they're up to the task." Seeing the two go quiet, Aika kept her gaze down, trying to keep her ears attuned to the hearts around her. While it was an odd thing to do, Blood Seekers often did this to keep themselves calm and focused within their surroundings. "Derrick...." Celestia's eyes narrowed as she squeezed his hands. "We may be immortal--to some extent--but she could leave you in a state that I couldn't get you out of. Yes, it's a risk letting her wander in this state but it's risk you shouldn't have to take." "Besides-", Aika's voice cut in as she leaned back into the desk chair,"-no matter what we do, I'm going to get caught." "Aika, what are you-" " It's going to happen. Whether either of you like it or not it will happen. I know they'll try to break me, but so have countless others before. Once that barrier in Dalton's mind breaks he'll remember everything; that we met, that his father rescued me, that I was there when he died. All of it. And I'm going to make sure he gets the answers he's looking for." Her tone was strong and reminiscent of how she use to speak when they were in war. "I made a promise to him and his father before I left and I have no intentions on breaking it." As soon as Celestia was about to counter her argument, Aika stood up in a fast, blurred motion as her eyes went a dark crimson state as they flickered towards the door to the office. Her fingers on her right hand started counting--1,2,3,4,5--then the left hand--6,7.... 8. Her eyes widened as she recounted again but only came to the same result. "You only have three children, correct?" "Yes, why-" 1,2,3,4,5--6,7,8. Swearing under her breath, she turned towards them with anger in her eyes. "There should only be two dormant hearts within this house or around--Rowlin and myself. There's three."
