ok so most of this is probably wrong but i spent half an hour writing this out in the main forum history thread so i guess i'm making it's own thread for it. i could probably trim it down a little. i wrote something like 900 words for this so buckle in it's long, if you spot any innacuracies let me know my memory is a little rusty. i'm editing this piece from the original because there are a lot of mistakes.
iirc i made the night owlz get deleted once (maybe the first time, maybe not). i'm not 100% certain but i'm pretty sure. then again, im not 100% certain and the chat may not have been deleted in this particular incident. it definitely caused a lot of drama. i still think this is a sorta interesting story and the summer that it happened shaped who am i am today so i hold this close to my heart. keep in mind this was 4 years ago and i have improved a lot as a person since then.
it was early 2013, i was 12. i had been active on the warrior cats forum for about 1.5 years when i joined the night owlz. i went by the nickname "redd" because i was unoriginal and there was already a "red". for a long time i had a lot of good friends there! i still have a bunch of art i made for friends there! (farrah, appy, ben, nic, and toby [there was a joke that she was a tree i dont remember why]) i believe i was halfway through 6th grade when i joined. at that point i wasn't often up too late but when i joined i would stay up til 11 most nights, chatting with them every day once curfew ended (6:00 my time). there was a lot of "randomXD" type humor like popcorn fight roleplays and stuff. i was in the rank of barnmate (second highest, it meant you were active a lot!).
then summer came along. i was a pretty established part of the chat at that point, and i was up til 1 or 2 am every night talking to these people! i knew several of the big OTDers too. i was actually getting sort of popular.
and then i got banned.
i had made a fake account to be a sorta "troll" account but tbh it was barely trolling. i think what i did was i jokingly ask to fight people. it was honestly hardly trolling and when i had logged off of that account i was unbanned. the next day they banned me. basically what happened next is that i lied that it wasn't my account and then because i had used a fake age when i signed up, the admins refused to unban me. i "leaked" this to friends over deviantart i think. there was a pretty big fuss but it didn't last long. and then i got a tumblr and got into the people on tumblr who were bashing the warrior cats forums and the people on there. i don't remember my blog name, but i was friends with swiftjay though at the time i did not know it was them (they kept their wcf username secret). tbh im not even sure we were friends i was pretty socially oblivious back then. but we talked. then i ended up getting a friend's account for the forums (mistypool with maybe some numbers i think) and i went on that for a while, but it didn't feel "the same". around that point i learned that random humor was always bad thing now so i started to hate the night owlz. i was young and impressionable.
okay that was a lot of background, now onto the actual story of how i may have gotten the night owlz deleted:
since random humor was now bad according to Those People On The Internet i decided to out my mistypool account as Reddew AKA Redd and created a new chat called the Sun Warriors to counter the night owlz and one of the rules was no random humor. another rule was that the curfew was 7 am to 7 pm (which looking at the reasons that the night owlz were created, was kinda dumb) but i did it because i thought i had seen evidence that they were being "elitist" and "thought they had a monopoly the concept of curfews". yeah. it was dumb and it ended in a huge fight lasting something like an hour before the mods came in and banned me and deleted the sun warriors and perhaps the night owlz. there were some people on my side (mostly "older" wcfers 13+) and a lot of people on the owlz' side.
i left the forums more or less until i returned as etcetera in august 2015.
sorry this was so long but basically that summer means a lot to me bc it's the summer i stopped being a kid (for other reasons as well as this) and i wish i wouldve done things different. glad i left my mark on wcf history even if it was sorta a bad thing haha.

also! not related to night owlz but i had a bad interaction with swiftjay in late 2014/early 2015 wherein i was sorta trolling and i said something like "wow i cant believe i was every friends with you SJW" and a lot of hurtful things about trans people and otherkin because at that point i was still super impressionable and had been reading a lot of tumblr in action so i was a major jerk. doesnt excuse what i said, but just trying to give context. idk if they even remember this but i feel really bad about it so swiftjay if ur reading this im sorry! i was awful!
