wadevvilson Thank you!! I noticed yours too, in Fan Clans! By the way, based on your username, I'm guessing you're a Deadpool fan?

Same here, can't wait for the second one! Nor can I! Hoping for some kind of Cable/Deadpool relationship, personally.

Oh wow, another person who likes scratchboard art!? That first one is my favorite, it has really nice atmosphere and is really detailed!
All my scratchboard stuff I did a long time ago too (2012 or 13 I think?) But I also drew cats and dogs, so that's pretty funny! I love scratchboard for doing fur, it really works for the medium somehow.

hey, I remember you. didn't you do something with copper? also amazing art. Scratchboards are so scary with no erase and only two colors. your realism is fantastic. I think I like the dog best <3

Other~ Thanks! Agreed, it's probably my favourite medium!!! So much fun, unique, and looks like it took way longer than it really did hahahha. Also I tried to do a human once but the skin looked super odd since shading is tough with SB. Fur most definitely looks better.
Mint~ Thank you for your support!!
Brownie~ YES that's right!! Hey! Thank you and I totally agree. In a pinch you can cover it with sharpie but it doesn't look quite right. Still, I love working with negative space, and a black canvas is so soothing for me. Love scratchboard!

And I guess I can't argue, since I love doodling with pens and markers and those aren't erasable either. Scratchboard is a completely different medium, though, and it's amazing what a good artist like you can do with it, haha! How long do you usually spend on one of those? and how big are they? They have to be pretty big to get the dark/light hatching.

Just takes a different part of the brain to work with the negative space at first. HEHE funny story. That first one up there took 8 hours and I did it ALL IN ONE DAY bc I procrastinated and didn't start until the morning it was due........ yeah. The others took maybe 10 hours over the course of a week or so! And they are all about 8x10 inches, so not super big but not small either. The first one is sitting on top of a notebook but as you can see it's quite a bit smaller.

(Tbh scratchboards take less effort for me to make than other media, but they look just as good so I tend to be "lazy" and make them instead of painting or drawing... don't tell anyone lol)
