Redwillow twitched her ears miserably. She closed her eyes sadly and buried her nose in her mates fur. Why did he have to die?

Foxpaw and Crowpaw both nodded, both walking alongside Honeypaw back towards camp.

"I would like to visit the Moon Cavern... I feel as though I need answers for... something." Nightglisten replied, sounding agitated, and his tail lashing with annoyance at his own foreboding. "It seems uncustomary to leave during the vigil, but I feel I should. Unless you rather I wait till morning."

(Hey rain! Hey blue!)

"He didn't abandon us," Sandpebble argued, "And what are your plans?"

Wildmist comforted Redwillow and Honeypaw, trying her best to stay strong.

"He abandoned our mother!" Mudfang snarled under his breath. "And he will regret what he did." He knew Sandpebble would try to figure out his plans no matter what. "I'm going to tell him." That wasn't a total lie.

Upon seeing the cats Foxpaw stopped in his tracks, his fur on end as he heard their sobs and saw Honeypaw run to mourn her brother. Crowpaw stood besides him for a moment, but hurried to sit near his mother, who was keeping vigil with the rest, although not directly with his relations, giving them space to sit by him. Foxpaw followed shakily, asking his mother in a hushed voice. "Wh-what happened?"

Sparrowtail licked her son on the head, replying quietly. "Ravenstep... badgers got to him." Before protectively sitting closer to her sons, claws unsheathed. The idea of loosing them terrified her, and she felt so horrible for the loss of a clanmate, and for the cats he left behind. She felt even more sickened when seeing his mate mourning his loss, recalling her previous worries that Fox had died.

Nightglisten dipped his head, giving a quick side glance to the mourning cats. "I can take care of myself, and Im sure Mooneyes can watch over the clan well while I'm away."

Sandpebble glared at her brother. Should she warn Harestar?

The vigil lasted until the night. Wildmist seemed to have taken the hit of Ravenstep the hardest than compared to Honeypaw. He was her littermate, after all. Honeypaw felt comfort that Ravenstep would be watching over them in StarClan, and although was still sad, was still acting like her normal self. Wildmist however, was acting irritated and lashing out. When she was in a kind mood, she would spend time with Redwillow, Ravenstep's mate.

Icefire couldn't sleep through the night. She was having nightmares about finding Ravenstep's body, and the badgers. She pressed against her brother's side as she slept, hoping Duskfeather wouldn't mind her intruding.

Emberspark spent the night sleeping by Timberstone's side. It was the first time she had done so. The death of Ravenstep made her realize that Timberstone was still here, and she shouldn't keep pushing him or others away.

Harestar woke up the next morning ready to begin the warrior ceremony for Owlpaw, Juniperpaw, and Snowpaw. He spoke about Ravenstep but also how the days must go on, and that the apprentices will become fine warriors. He named them Owlwhisker, Juniperbreeze, and Snowbird.

Maybe you could do a badger that attacks a cat and when the cat falls into mud it disapears leaving only a fang)
