Emberspark stood there in silence with him. "Um. Maybe we should start walking back? Or... we could still stay here?" she suggeted, offering him a little hope.

Snowpaw nodded. She slowly picked up all her feet and stuck her head out. The apprentice stayed up, but caused a lot of splashing as she tried to stay afloat.

Mudfang was initially taken aback by her coolness but was later relieved. He didn't need to pretend to be nice like with the rest of the Clan. Mudfang took a look at the clam and quickly opened it up with his long claws. "Here," he told her in a cool sultry tone. (Sorry for taking forever to reply! I was pretty busy today but didn't expect to end up four or five pages behind oops) Ruewhisker felt surprised at how Mudfang had opened the clam so quickly and with so much ease, but she tried not to let it show on her face. "Thanks" the she-cat nodded. She ate half and then, while still chewing, pushed the rest towards the tom without saying anything. She didn't feel the need to. |

Badgerpaw padded into camp, her head was hung low and her tail lashed in frustration. She was suddenly aware that she was now 7 moons old and still hadn’t had a successful hunt, she couldn’t even get close without the prey hearing or seeing her. Badgerpaw slumped into her nest feeling disheartened and tired.

"You don't sound thrilled abuot it," Timberstone said "Just don't get too close to be and I'll be fine." She snapped, before offering him an apologetic look and staring at her paws. She wasn't good at this. |

Mudfang sat across from her and ate the clam in silence. He was thankful not every cat in this clan had such a cheery disposition. It made him sick. |

Timberstone looked at Emberspark in surprise. "What's wrong?" he asked Emberspark sighed. "You were just... too close to me in the ocean." She muttered, not meeting his gaze. She wasn't used to any affection, even if it was accidental, which she assumed was the case. |

Emberspark rolled her eyes. "Before that." She signaled her tail up. "Forget about it. I was just letting you know, you shouldn't want that with me." She started to turn around. "I should just head back to camp."

"Am I moving?" She asked, holding her head higher. She was just happy to be floating.

Emberspark took a step back at his confession. "You shouldn't. You should find someone else. There's plenty of she-cats that would want to be with the deputy." She turned and faced away. "The second you're with me, you'd want to find an out just like everyone else in my life."
