🌳OakClan - The Resilient and Brave (ACTIVE members needed!)

Haynose nodded to Ravenheart. He barely noticed the extra glance towards the medicine den and was already turning to pad off towards the water’s edge. “It is!” He meowed cheerfully, glad to have someone along with him for hunting.

(Hey guys. Recap? Also, Gingerfoot, Foxkit, and Dustkit are all open.)

(Alright. Um, I think I had at least Minnowkit? I think? Gingerfoot's kits are open, so they could play.)

(Oh, I think Dustkit was going to be Gullkit's friend now that I remember! Dustkit can be talking to Gullkit cause he's kinda small and shy, too. Foxkit can play with the others.)

Gingerfoot was trying to keep Foxkit still as well. The rusty she-kit seemed to never stop moving, but she had a nettle caught in her back fur and the ginger queen wanted it out before it was stuck forever. Meanwhile, Dustkit was sitting perfectly groomed, watching Gullkit curiously.

Minnowkit giggled at Bearkit. Her brother was bigger than her, but she still thought it was funny how easily Doeleap held him down. "You could just let her groom you," she squeaked. "Then you could play with me and Herringkit!"

(That works for me. I know Dustkit wants to talk to him lol)

Foxkit giggled at Bearkit, finally getting away from Gingerkit. She bounced around the other kits and dropped in a playful crouch. "Come on! I wanna go out!"

Gingerfoot rolled her eyes. "You kits need to get out and burn some energy. Gullkit doesn't need all this noise."

"We won't!" Foxkit called. She batted Bearkit over the ear playfully and tumbled out of the nursery, Minnowkit and Herringkit hard on her tail.

Gingerfoot shook her head, an amused purr rumbling in her throat. She turned her attention to Dustkit. "Why don't you go play with your denmates?"

Dustkit shook his head, his eyes on Gullkit. "I wanna stay here with him."

Ravenheart looked up at the trees. "It'd be nice to stay in the shade. I say we stay here."

Bearkit mewed excitedly and followed, his bushy brown tail soon vanishing from the sight of the queens as he tumbled outside. He landed nearby Foxkit and, laying down, flailed his arms towards her legs, trying to trip her.

"He's not big enough to play yet." Smallnose said calmly, watching as the half-blind kitten focused hsi small eyes towards Dustkit, sneezing again as moos landed on his nose.

Haynose nodded his head. “Alright works for me!” He agreed. As they padded onward, he began to scent around for any nearby prey. He picked up on the scent of a squirrel nearby and turned to stalk off towards it. He lowered himself to the ground and crept up on the prey. He pounced and managed to catch the squirrel rather easily. He smiled proudly and buried it nearby before heading back to Ravenheart.

Bearkit tumbled over as Minnowkit tackled him, and he quickly kicked up at her with his hind legs. "Bearstar won't be beaten! Take this! Take that!"

Gullkit blinked, scrunching his face slightly as his eyes crossed on his nose. He let out another yawn and stretched his tiny arms out, trying to focus on them.

Ravenheart sat down to watch, not wanting to disturb Haynose as he hunted. He smiled as he watched Haynose bury it. "Nice catch."

Bearkit pounced to the side in time before he could be shoved down again, and then flung himself at Herringkit instead of Minnowkit.

"Mmf." Gullkit responds, sinking his claws into the dirt, looking at Dustkit.

"I've been trying to see if he'll start talking soon." Smallnose said, watching. "Still a bit young I think, his eyes only began opening a few days ago."

Bearkit cackled as he grabbed for Herringkit's ears, batting harmlessly at them with his brown paws. "Bearstar claims victory!"

Smallnose nodded at this, looking down happily at her kit as he sniffed a feather in the nest.

Doeleap watched the exchange, flinching slightly as she heard her kits tumbling and squealing his outside the den. "Soon enough you'll be wishing they'd slow down instead of speed up." She said with wary smile.

Ravenheart followed, sniffing the air as he went. "Might be some squirrels." He reasoned after taking a long taste of the air. He lowered his head to the ground, and followed the trail towards a few ancient oaks nearby.

Haynose nodded his head as he began to scent around as well. He padded after Ravenheart as the other warrior beaded towards some nearby oaks.

Icepaw moved aside slightly, wishing he could help.

Ravenheart frowned, noticing the squirrel up in the tree. With his bad leg he probably couldn't get it. "Well, it's in a tree." He stated in a low voice. "Think you can get it?"
