Smallnose lay asleep nearby Gingerfoot, her tail tightly wrapped around her single kit, which had been born only a few days prior. She opened her eyes slightly as a voice sounded nearby, and listened in silence to her denmate and the apprentice.

Smallnose stretched out her front paws, then moved to tail to see her one kit. He was sleeping soundly, a small bundle of white fluff next to his creamy mother. She then looked to Gingerfoot and blinked. "Morning. I'm alright, a bit bored as usual though." She mumbled, placing her head back on her paws and sighing. She was very happy with her kit and loved him dearly, and so her initial depression after the flood was healing. However, now she was beginning to feel her old restlessness and want to hunt and explore return. Yet little Gullkit seemed to be determined to remain tiny forever!

Smallnose glanced back up as the kit, ironically, voiced her own thoughts. She smiled at Dustkit and looked back at Gullkit. "No he can't." She said to both the kit and his mother. "He's still only a few days old."

Gullkit let out a tiny mew at being awoken, and wiggled awkwardly in place. He didn't quite have his eyes or ears open yet, and only succeeded in moving himself closer to his mom. Smallnose chuckled and gave her kit a few licks on the head.
