Hello, and welcome to NightClan. I'm Amberwing, but feel free to call me Amber or anything else as long as you tell me that it means me. NightClan may seem like your average Clan, but they believe in the power of the moon. Most cats heed advice from the stars, but these cats worship the moon, it's light shining in the dark of the night. They also depend on the moon for another reason. NightClan cats hold powers, such as element manipulation. They say that the first cats of NightClan were bestowed these powers by the moon itself, and they passed on to their descendants. This is the story of those descendants. Once again, welcome to NightClan, those who thrive after sundown! |

1. Follow all forum and ghost rules. This should be obvious, but I'm going to say it so there's no excuse. 2. Be nice to everyone out of character. I'm fine if you have a character that's a snob, but don't let roleplay arguments become real. 3. No human swearing. Stuff like mouse brain is okay, but normal cussing, even with symbols replacing letters, is not acceptable. On that topic, nothing with too much gore and don't go too far with mating. No force mating. 4. Activity is big. If you have a high ranking cat, I expect you to give an actual roleplay post at least every other day unless you have an excuse. If you have none, I expect you to give an actual roleplay post at least once a week. The only exceptions are if your character is frozen due to someone not responding. If that is the case, just say something out of character once the limit is reached. If you plan on being absent, please tell me ahead of time. 5. There is no limit to the number of cats you can have, as long as you can handle them all. If you never use one, I'll ask you to remove the cat or get them out into the world. 6. No godmodding, powerplaying, spotlighting, etc. To ensure some of these things don't happen, all characters have to be approved by me unless specified otherwise. 7. Literacy is interesting for me. As I'm on my phone, I can use the mobile site or desktop, but for me, the text looks like it's four lines yet when I post it's actually one. So, literacy is based on sentences instead of lines. Each roleplay post must have at least three sentences. Now, "He sat down," does not count as a sentence. Maybe half of one. 8. Whenever I am gone and say that I will be absent, my deputy is in charge. That means accepting new cats, allowing plots, and enforcing any of these rules. Pretty much just do what the owner of the Clan would do. 9. No kit-anything. 10. All major plots must have approval by me 11. I prefer that leaders pick the warrior names of apprentices. Medicine cat picks it for their apprentice. 12. No copying it stealing anything from here. I worked hard on this. What is the use if someone else takes it? It is just multiple of the same thing. 13. Have fun. I know the rules seem long, but they are there for us to have more happiness while doing this. TerritoryNightClan territory is actually a mix of a couple types of territory, making things interesting. These are the most noticeable landmarks.
Moon Tree — This tree is used to communicate with MoonClan, known by all cats. There is a special leaf that glows silver in moonlight among the highest branches, and touching the tip of it will send you dreams of MoonClan. Each apprentice must go here on their first day of apprenticeship to pledge loyalty to MoonClan.
Midnight Forest — This forest is the Clan's main hunting grounds, as this is the place with most plentiful prey.
Monster Lake — This is the largest body of water in the territory. Long ago, in a way to keep foolish kits from trying to sneak off for a swim, elders created the story that a monster dwelled in the lake. However, they decided to stop after two kits decided to prove themselves as brave warriors and went to kill the monster. The myth left, but the name stuck.
I will probably add more later as roleplay progresses. CampThe camp is not very noticeably a camp to the normal outsider. There is just a boulder with a rabbit hole beside it, except the rabbit hole is roughly cat sized. Even if you peek down the hole, there's a short tunnel that appears to end. However, it actually curves right so sharply it isn't very visible. After the sharp turn, there is an open area with a rock on which the leader announces important things and performs ceremonies. Branching to the left is the warrior's den, by far the biggest den. It is sort of like the announcement clearing, but a little smaller and filled with nests. Behind it, blocked from view by lichen, is another tunnel leading to the nursery. The nursery is full of moss to make it soft underpaw and overall more comfortable. Branching off to the right of the announcement clearing is the apprentice den. This is probably the smallest den, as there generally aren't as many apprentices. Behind this is a tunnel just like the one in the warrior's den, but this one leads to the elder den. This is slightly larger than the apprentice den, and roughly the same size as the nursery. Tucked away at the far end of the announcement clearing, to prevent spread of sickness, is the medicine cat den. This den is large enough to house most of the warriors, making it the second largest den. It is doubtful that the whole Clan would be sick, so the beginning Clan cats didn't feel as though they needed to dig it too much larger.

Several moons ago, there was a cat known as Midnight. True to her name, she was mostly a nocturnal cat. Even though she lived most her life solitary, she found that she longed for the company of fellow cats, and soon began traveling. She met several cats on her travels, but no place seemed like home, and none of the cats ever seemed like the kind she wanted to spend her life living with. Once, she found a group of cats who she found perfect. At least, she thought their society perfect. This was a Clan, and for awhile, Midnight watched Clan life without making herself known. After a few sunrises, she went to join, but was rejected. Later, she founded her own Clan, NightClan, vowing to accept every cat in need of a real home and family. She also discovered the Moon Tree, and when she communed with MoonClan, she relieved her nine lives and powers. As new cats were accepted, there became a ceremony where they went to the Moon Tree with their mentors, and they, too, relieved powers when they pledged their loyalty to MoonClan. Traditions
NightClan, like any group of cats that have been around for a long time, has gained it's own traditions and values over the moons. One of the most sacred traditions is, on the day a kit becomes an apprentice, they must go to the Moon Tree and pledge their loyalty to MoonClan to receive their powers. Another NightClan tradition is the leader always sleeping in the warrior den instead of having their own. If the leader had their own den, it would be thought that they believed themselves better than others. Prey and Predators

Ashstar Male | Leader | 47 moons Ashstar is a short but muscular tom, who has long, dark grey fur and cobalt blue eyes. He hasn't been leader for very long, but he has strong responsibility. He will work hard at each task until it's done right, even if it takes him until moon high. He can seen rather obsessive with each task he's given. Overall, Ashstar is a great leader, but seems weak because of his belief that a great defense is the best offense. He has control over fire. He can form and control fire, but has difficulty putting out his fires. This weakens him and gives him deadly fear of drowning. Deputy

Fernclaw Female | Warrior | 24 moons Fernclaw is a silver tabby she-cat with bright green eyes. Fernclaw often appears to be sweet and innocent, and is willing to hold a civil conversation with just about any cat. She is a strong warrior, and she will often forgive her enemies, but she'll never forget them. That is partially what makes her such a good warrior. She often has a cause for fighting. Her power is a photographic memory. It may not be thought of as much a power, and it does have quite a few negatives, but she never had it before she pledged her loyalty to MoonClan. Apprentices
Birchpaw Male | Apprentice | 10 moons Birchpaw is a light brown tabby tom with amber, owl-like eyes. He is always eager to learn, and often acts pompously towards younger apprentices. He always acts as perfectly as possible. His mother, who died in kitting, was an amazing warrior, and he has so much to live up to. It is his greatest ambition to be a better warrior than his mother and become Clan leader, but not through killing others. His power is speaking to the dead cats. It is a power often held by medicine cats, but it was given to him. He finds it difficult to control and can accidentally summon evil spirits. They can be seen but not heard by other cats. Elders
Spiderfang Male | Elder | 124 moons Spiderfang is a black tom with yellow eyes. He used to be one of the best warriors, and he sometimes scares the kits because he gets bored in the elders den. He often complains about the elders den, as if he had been forced there instead of asking to become an elder. His power was telekinesis, but it has become weak. The most he can do is move prey a few inches closer. Queens

Snowheart
Female | Warrior | 20 moons
Snowheart is a small white she-cat with black tabby markings and golden yellow eyes. She is loyal to her Clan, believes strongly in the Moon's power. She is quick, but not a very strong fighter, more of a tactician than anything. Can be wary of others getting close to her because of her power. Snowheart's power is True Sight, able to see what's happening through the eyes of another cat. While it can be useful for seeing if another Clan plans to attack of if someone goes missing, she has worked hard for control as when she was young she would accidentally slip into the sight while she was dreaming or distracted. She still has slip-ups occasionally.

Clovereyes Female|Elder|172 Moons Clovereyes is an huge long hair sliver tabby(sliver Maine coon),with Green eyes and large dark grey ears. She is caring, and trustworthy. she doesn't like to fight, but was an powerful hunter. She was an odd and rare power to see the Dead, as an young cat she slowly act like they were not there, to hide this power so no cats would ask her if some dead cat was there. she sometimes talks about something under her breath in her sleep, as if she had been talking to MoonClan in her sleep. |
