Copperpaw gave the flower a quick sniff so he knew what it smelt like. The apprentice found that he could remember things better if he recognized their scent, which is why he stuck his nose into every new plant and bush. The Tom drew back and gave Mistdream a quiet nod. He didn't really feel like talking at the moment, and there was nothing of importance to say. With a twitch of his whiskers, he looked from his mentor back down to the plant, trying to imprint its image into his mind. ( zero)

Mistdream nodded, assuming his look to her meant they could leave. She turned and started to make her way back to camp. She started to think about the tom's seed idea. Perhaps they should do the same for the rest of the herbs. Gathering the seeds of the rest of the herbs would promise they could replant if it suddenly died. It was a little strange and could be a waste of time. Yet, the reward could be great. The medicine cat slowed so she was walking next to her apprentice. "I was thinking we should collect the seeds of all herbs that we can. We could be in trouble if one type of herb never grew again." She suggested. She thought about planting some in camp; however the idea seemed strange. To her, it wouldn't be too strange. Her twoleg planted herbs near her den, yet it was still something the twolegs did. Most cats wouldn't see it in a favorable light.

( โก Bun โก That's okay, we understand how tough school is) Copperpaw turned his head upwards so he could look at Mistdream's face. He was excited that his mentor had taken his idea so seriously, and that she seemed to be planning the details already. "That would be amazing!" He purred in response to the medicine cat's plans, "We could have an endless supply of herbs just outside our den." The young tom turned his gaze back to the forest, jumping over a branch that was in his way. He didn't want to admit that he had only thought of taking the seeds because of his time spent as a kitty-pet. It didn't seem like a good idea to remind his mentor of his soft origins, however excepting she may be. His mind drifted to how the clan might react if they realized he had brought some two-leg practices into the camp, and his eyes clouded with worry. Maybe he had been wrong to suggest it. Maybe the clan would think he had too much kitty-pet blood in him to make a proper medicine cat. ( zero)

Mistdream felt herself smile at her apprentice's excitement. It was a rare sight to see her quiet apprentice so excited. She felt a purr grow before she could stop herself. "We will have to collect later in Green Leaf." She warned the tom. She didn't want him to dash off and try to find seeds quite yet. "I think we will start to the end of Green Leaf or maybe even further." She frowned, trying to remember if her twoleg had collected seeds and when. She couldn't remember anything of the sort. Her tail tip twitched and purring stopped. It was odd and frustrating when she couldn't remember anything. She didn't like guessing.

โก Bun โก ; sorry for making you wait so long. it's not that I meant to, though. :') ] Frostriver padded into camp with the she-cat, ignoring the looks of the other cats. What mattered right now wasn't them, it was the cat infront of him. Naturally he would have to come and speak to those adoring eyes, but now really wasn't the time. He couldn't even find it in him to glance away to face their looks, afraid that if he did look away right now, just as the she-cat went up the stairs, that she would be lost to again. A few moments passed before he did follow up with her to the stairs, making a quick note of the little openings to dens on the sides. An interesting camp the she-cat had found. No doubt in his mind that it somehow felt perfect. It wasn't necessarily traditional as their old home, but somehow it was more fitting. A flood wouldn't take this away. That was a thought that eased his heart considerably. >> Ooc << >> RP << Lavenderstar entered her room, which was quite spacious. It had enough room to fit three cats, she already had some fresh kill from that morning in her den. She laid in her nest and scooted a mouse over with her paws. She waited for the tom to enter, i wonder how he found us? She thought as she took a bit. I mean the camp is pretty far away from the old camp, as she sat thinking about just who this tom was, even though he says he was apart of Petalclan, Can i trust him? She asked herself, even though his face didn't register in her brain, she felt this longing feeling in her chest, this tom is important i can feel it in my gut. [/quote]

With a twitch of his whiskers, Copperpaw tried to dislodge all the bad thoughts from his mind. It wouldn't help any cat if he wasn't even sure of his own ideas. The clan would have to learn to accept this new method if it turned out to benefit the medicine cats in their healing. His mind wandered away from how the clan would react and moved to how they would plant the seeds. "I think the two-legs planted the seeds at the start of New-leaf" the apprentice mewed quietly as he remembered seeing the strange two-leg tools and the small, weird smelling packets of seeds lying around before he moved to the forest. "But the herbs don't get their seeds until late Green Leaf do they?" he continued hurriedly before Mistdream could accuse him of his kittypet origins. ( zero)

Mistdream blinked when her apprentice spoke about two-legs and plants. She had never asked the tom about his past. It only seemed polite to wait for when he wanted to tell her, even if it was never. This was the first time he had ever spoken about anything in his past. Then again, it wasn't much. Any cat can see twolegs; they didn't need to be kittypet. Copperpaw could have even been a barn cat. She dragged her mind away from her musings and to the current matter. She nodded to Copperpaw. If she remembered correctly, most herbs started to grow seeds when the leaves turned. "I think my twoleg collected the seeds around the end of Green Leaf." She agreed without thinking. She didn't see where she came from to be an issue. Just didn't normally mention it because it made her sad.

Copperpaw let out his breath, realizing that he had been holding it without knowing. It seemed that Mistdream wasn't going to punish him for speaking about two-legs and his short time with them. He was surprised when the medicine cat went so far as to mention that she had lived with two-legs as well. Maybe he didn't have to be embarrassed about his origins when she was around. With a sweep of his tail, he brushed past a trailing fern and spotted the tree house peaking over the underbrush. Almost home he thought to himself, while out loud he mewed, "Do you think there's anything we can do to prepare for planting the seeds?" ( zero)

Mistdream hummed, thinking back to her time with the twoleg. She cursed at herself for spending so much time in the sun and napping. Thankfully, her twoleg had needed her to move to plant some seeds. "We need to dig up the ground, so it is soft. We might have to sprinkle water over some plants." She said with a touch of uncertainty in her tone. "I think we need to keep in mind where the plants grow. Forest herbs will need to be planted closer to trees." It might take a couple of seasons tries, but Mistdream knew they could get it right. She looked ahead at the camp. She almost had forgotten about the cats and what they would think. She couldn't see how anyone would be upset about the plan. Though, she may need to ask for help or tell the leader about their plans. She really didn't know how this needed to be handled with the rest.

Copperpaw nodded to himself, trying to picture their plan in his mind. "We could plant the herbs near a river or pond so we don't need to water them." he suggested. Once the roots had taken their hold in the earth, they would be able to pick up their own water. It wasn't like all the forest herbs had a cat to water them all the time. ( zero)

She nodded. It was a fine idea. However, some plants did not require so much water. She wanted to be able to plant them all in one place. Honestly, she knew she wanted this partly to have her garden back. She couldn't be selfish like that. "I think we should plant some herbs near camp, but the rest will go near where they grew originally." She voiced her opinions simply. "This why we know they are in the right place to grow strong."

Copperpaw dipped his head respectfully. It sounded good to him, as this way they could be sure that the most important herbs were there where they needed them. The apprentice looked around camp again, "Is there anything you want me to do?" He asked his mentor evenly, knowing that there must be things that needed doing in the present rather than dreaming about the future. Just because he had had one good idea didn't mean he could neglect his duties as an apprentice, especially a medicine cat apprentice. Anyways, he didn't really mind doing some of the mundane tasks the other apprentices hated. ( zero)

Mistdream looked around camp. Really, she couldn't think of anything the apprentice could do. As far as she knew, there wasn't a hurt or sick cat. There were no herbs to be collected. He couldn't hunt as far as she knew. She glanced up at the wooden dens. "How about you change out Rainwind's bedding? I don't think anyone has done that yet." She suggested, trying to keep a cheery tone. Again, not anything exciting but Copperpaw never seemed to care. The tom was oddly okay with doing the mundane tasks which mentors normally had to drag their apprentice's to do. Or if he wasn't, he was good at hiding it.

YEASS YAAAAS i'm on my laptop again bless up ] โก Bun โก , Frostriver gazed at the walls of the den as he walked in, now beginning to feel a slight self-consciousness at the fact that they had been completely alone again. He hadn't wanted to break his gaze from her before but as he finally felt the strength in his limbs to move again and. after padding right up next to her, the warrior could only be reminded of the past again. Lavenderstar is right here.. It hadn't quite registered yet, but there was a small ache in his muscles that grew more and more realized. Was he now feeling that soreness from travelling relentlessly just to find his lost clan? Now, that he was with none other than the cat he had fallen for? One he had thought was lost? The scent of mouse had hit his nose but he could only hang his head and stare at his paws. Any sense of hunger was quelled as a numb feeling seemed to pass over the tom. His voice was quiet and hoarse from being hit with an overwhelming sense of relief. "You.. don't know how much I have missed you.." The raw emotion from everything soon came crashing down on him. Bittersweet would be what Frostriver would call it; his clan had been lost.. but the only cat he had ever loved was still alive and right in front of him.

The tom was oddly okay with doing the mundane tasks which mentors normally had to drag their apprentice's to do. Or if he wasn't, he was good at hiding it. With a small nod, Copperpaw trotted off towards the elder, waving his tail at Mistdream as he went. Once he had reached the she-cat, who was resting on a rock nearby, he mewed evenly "Hello Rainwind." He had never spoken much to the retired warrior, as he had only been an apprentice for half a moon and hadn't had much of a chance to meet her. "How are you today?" Pricking her ears at the sound of her name, Rainwind opened one eye to see who had disturbed her. One of those pesky apprentices she complained silently, while out loud she muttered, "Not bad until you woke me up." With an irritated flick of her ears, she straightened up so that she was facing the apprentice properly. "Is there anything in particular you want, or did you come to annoy me just for the fun of it?" Copperpaw's eyes widened slightly and he lowered his head. He should have known not to wake up a sleeping elder, but he hadn't expected the response to be this rude. "I was just wondering if you needed your bedding changed." the apprentice continued more quietly. When the elder gave another sharp remark about how of course she needed new bedding, Copperpaw winced slightly before turning to the tree house. Mousebrain he scolded himself as he climbed the stairs, scooped up the dirty bedding and made his way back down again, you should have known. After he had stocked up a fresh pile of bedding in the elder's den, he made his way slowly to the medicine den, his paws dragging slightly as he settled down and closed his eyes briefly.
