Doppelganger Joining Page A light shone within the squealing darkness. Its brightness lit every little crevice it could reach, filling up the cave with a gleaming, sparkling flame of magic. The Elder turned his old gaze up upon his female counterpart, awaiting approval. Once it was received, he shook his head with a silent nod before placing the flame, in which was melting the wax of the candle it was rested, into a large cauldron. Smoke poured from the brass sculpture, some unknown being rising from within.
Darkness fell upon the cave once again, until a deep, malicious laugh echoed from every stone wall it could reach. The Elders covered their ears, regret and guilt coursing through their veins. They stared at each other, brother and sister, before falling to the cold, stone floor. Lifeless.
The evil spirit cackled before stepping from within its cage, free at last. It gave a smirk, breaking into multiple clouds of smoke. The Doppelganger has been released.
The Beginning
Everyone in Astraville City lives at peace. Nobody is unhappy, and everybody gets what they want. The poor are given money, the homeless given shelter, and criminals are caught immediately. Any disorder is handled in the best of ways.
But now there is a foreign evil on the loose, and nobody knows how to deal with it.
Waking up one day, the people of Astraville City looked into the mirrors of their homes, and saw nothing. Their reflections were not there, and they felt as if a piece of them was missing. Searching for what they could have lost, they walk into the main room of their houses and find them, their reflections, smiling. It was their doppelgangers.
All hell has broken loose within the walls of Astraville City, and everybody is left with a choice: Join the evil, or destroy it? The doppelgangers wreck havoc upon the once peaceful city, damaging everything within its path. It is up to the civilians to find a way to team together as friend or foe and drive the doppelgangers back into the mirrors of which they had arisen, pushing them to retreat into the deepest, darkest, most terrible depths of their minds.
But what they don't know, is that the doppelgangers will fight back. They will attempt to counter every attack sent to them, wanting to push you into the mirrors. Wanting to take your place. The once peaceful city of Astraville is no longer safe, especially when nobody can be trusted anymore. Not even themselves.
Explanation Long story short, this roleplay is about your character living their life, but the Doppelganger, an evil entity, has brought out the evil side of everyone. Everyone has to either find a way to destroy what the Doppelganger has done, or come to terms with their own evil side. It's kinda like an evil twin who you have to keep from obliterating everything. Nevermind, it is an evil twin trying to obliterate everything. But beware, as the doppelgangers are tricky, and will do anything to take your place, forcing you [ your character ] to become the reflection.

Name Greyson Alex White || The doppelganger Age 19 Years || 19 Years Gender Identity Cis Male || Agender Pronouns He / Him || It / Its Sexual Orientation Homoromantic Homosexual || Aromantic Asexual Job Musician [ self-employed ] || None Grade He dropped out of High School early. || None Appearance Upon first glance, Greyson will seem as if he is one to mock others, as he usually has a naturally smug expression. He is tall, standing at 6"5' when his spine is straight. His hair is a dirty blonde, nearly golden colour with natural lowlights throughout. It is short, but is spiked with hair gel most of the time. Greyson has a deep, sea green gaze that is the gateway to his emotions, as they show within his pupils. He smiles often, although he does not like his smile very much, but knows he must be friendly. White usually sports blue jeans, dark t-shirts, hightops and a jacket of some sort. His voice is deep, and causes him to sound older and more mature than he really is. His skin is very pale, almost ghostly, but his cheeks have dark freckles running across his nose to each other. Greyson's body is well defined, yet he keeps it hidden most of the time due to insecurities. He has a tint of an Australian accent, but it is well hidden. Doppelganger Appearance The doppelganger looks nearly the same as Greyson, but a few changes have been made. Its hair is darker, more brown than his, and its voice has a thicker accent. The doppelganger wears ripped jeans, hightops, a dark t-shirt and many bracelets. There are less freckles, and its skin is darker compared to Greyson's. It walks with what seems to be a limp, although the reason is unknown. The doppelganger has very dark, nearly black eyes, and cut off any emotion it could be feeling. It is the same height, but its body seems to be more defined and muscular than its counterpart. It always looks to be angry, and rarely allows even the tiniest of smiles to cross its pale lips. Personality Greyson is kind and caring, always putting other's needs before himself. He does not like speaking of himself, much less speaking at all. Preferring to communicate through music, he will always try to find a song that will fit what matches the correct aura of the air. White quite enjoys playing the guitar, and is also learning to play the piano. Music will always seem to calm him in any situation, and seems to make him happy no matter what. He also loves nature, frequently going on walks through the parks within Astraville City. Greyson is insecure and anxious of many things, and also has PTSD due to a serious accident that involved the death of his family. He loves animals, and will sing them to sleep when he believes no one is around. As he is like this, Greyson will take a long time before learning to trust, although he is still wary of everything. He is also rather paranoid. Doppelganger Personality The doppelganger is very different from Greyson, personality wise. It is rude, and tries its best to make anyone cry. It despises music, and will chat your ear off with insults and other phrases to bring you down. Along with that, the doppelganger will try its best to destroy any relationship it comes into contact with. It seems to have no feelings, and couldn't care less for anyone else in what is describes as a world of morons. Much to Greyson's disliking, the doppelganger will disturb his singing and attempt to share all of his insecurities with the whole city. It will never grow close to anyone, as it is only set on its ambitions to take Greyson's place. It is very selfish and uncaring. The doppelganger believes that the citizens of Astraville City are mindless guinea pigs that follow every rule and routine that happens without a thought or concern, unaware of the dangers that lurk. Relationships Open. Family will not be accepted. || Will not have any relationships, as it tries to destroy them itself. Anything Else Important At the moment, no. May add fears / phobias here later on. || None. Other brxken.
