It's been more than a week. I give up. I'll stop checking this and the joining page. When your eyes open for what feels like the first time, all you see is a sifting mass of dots. Light, dark, smooth, sharp, grainy, they swim in front of your eyes. Staring around at them for a moment, a thought rises in your head. You realize those aren’t the right words for what you see. Colors, they’re called. Blue, green, purple, teal, indigo. These colors seem connected to cold… and there were others. Red, orange, gold, yellow. Warm. Like a Greenleaf hunt, with a breeze on your muzzle and a mouse under your claws, and hunting with you…. Hunting with you…
Try though you might to remember who was with you, all you can see in your mind’s eye is a shifting form. After a few moments of frustration, you give up, and any thought of the companion leaves your mind.
You walk through this warm, dry haze, void of emotion. Your mind feels empty, like a den whose owner wandered out one day and never came back. Little thoughts drift through it without making any sense, and are soon forgotten. It’s impossible to tell how long you’ve been padding slowly through the haze. You’ve become fully aware of your body, a tail, four paws, and the color of your fur. These things you can remember because you see and feel them constantly, but whenever a memory of something specific, like a hunt or meeting someone for the first time, it seems to slip away in the span of a few breaths. After a while of this, you hear a voice calling. “You there!” Your ears turn, and you turn to see who was calling for you. You don’t see anything, and after a few moments your mind gets fuzzy again and you continue walking. “Hey! Hey you! Are you mouse-brained or something?” You turn to the voice, one you’re sure you’ve never hear before, even though it’s the same voice as before. Quickly, before the voice drifts from your mind, it speaks again. “Hold your breath, unless you want to be a Wanderer forever.” You quickly stop breathing, and stand stock still. “There you go. Now quickly, follow my voice. You haven’t got much time!” Hesitantly at first, but growing with urgency, you begin to trot towards the voice. Soon you’re running, and your head is dizzy from lack of air, but up ahead you can see colors that seem to go together.
“You’re almost there. Come on! A few more steps!” So suddenly that it shocks you, the veil of haze that has been covering your eyes for as long as you can remember disappears. Near you, a russet tabby tom sits on a tall gray rock. “Thank Starclan!” he gasps as you approach him, his voice exasperated. “That took forever! I can’t believe it took twenty tries to get you out of there! But, I suppose it’s a miracle I got you out at all, what with you forgetting I was calling you just as soon as you listened.” You suppose that your confusion must be obvious, as he pauses and tilts his head. “Huh. I guess they aren’t kidding when they say that Haze messes with a cat’s mind. Guess I’m super lucky to have been born in Hazeclan! Ain’t got to go around forgetting everything all the time.” The young tom’s plumed, shimmering tail flicks with pride.
The things he says most certainly don’t help you’re confusion, but he ignores this fact and hops lightly off the boulder. “All right. I don’t really know how to deal with Hazers,” he tilts his head, “But you can follow me to camp if you want. I mean, unless you want to go stumbling through the Haze again like a hollow-head.” You don’t reply, stone silent as your mind shakes the Haze off and starts to work again. “What, forgot how to speak, have ya?” You bristle. “No, I haven’t.”
The tom flicks an ear. “Well. If you remember how to talk and walk, we ought to be off.” He begins to trot away, glancing back once. “Come on.” Hazeclan is a collection of lost wanderers and clan-born cats. Surrounding the wide ranging territory of these cats exists a strange fog that causes animals to lose their memory. This fog traps the Hazeclan cats in their territory, unable to escape.
Even though they are trapped, it doesn't feel like it. Many of the cats were born and raised in Hazeclan, though newcomers stumble into the clan quite often. Even though Hazeclan is a great place to live, Hazers, or cats who come from the fog, will often spend much of their time trying to remember where they came from.
The fog itself has different effects on each cat, ranging from non - besides amnesia - to the extreme. For some, it causes personality swings. For an unlucky few, it causes permanent memory damage, making them unable to even remember what they ate last. This often kicks in during old age. A few lucky cats have strange effects, like powers or a change in their pelts, but this is not very common and has only been known to effect Clan-born cats.
A few have been known to die after breathing it in for too long.
If you join this clan, I hope you enjoy it. You can role play like you would in a normal clan, try your hand at getting a power or prophecy, or enjoy having your characters try and remember what their life was like before. No spamming/advertising. I don't really wanna see a bunch of links to things I have no interest in. I'll allow it for members who want their friends in on roleplays they might make.
No powerplaying, god modding, or anything like that. You know what that is. Roleplaying another person's cat, or killing with a single blow, nothing like that. There might be cats with powers later, though.Keep it PG-13. Don't make anyone else uncomfortable. That includes fighting, mating, and kitting. Fighting without too much gore is okay, but mating and kitting in general are not.Be literate. Literate does not mean paragraphs upon paragraphs of small black text. Literate means being able to write well enough for folks to understand, and being able to write more than "Randomheart followed." Be kind. Out of character, mostly. I don't mind if your character is a jerk, it's just that you don't have to be.
No trolling or kit_ing. It doesn't even fit with this clan. If anyone tries it, you'll be ignored. And so will your children, and your children's children, so that when your grandchildren sit around you and ask you why they are ignored on this cat forum, and you will stare into the distance and say "well, Elsie, I trolled." Do you want Elsie to know that about you? I don't think so.Forum rules are my rules. Why wouldn't you follow them? Please be active. I would love people to be on every day, but even I can't do that. I'm gonna be relatively lax, but let us know that you aren't dead every two weeks or so, m'kay? We worry about you.I have the final say. Alternatively, you should also listen to any mods I might appoint. No perfect cats. You know the drill. No Mary's or Gary's or Larry's or Sherry's or Berry's or Terri's (see, ended with an "i") or Jerry's. Or Wallaballamokary's.

Bluff Stones A cliff in the Northern part of the territory rising steeply into the sky. Daring apprentices and showy warriors will try their paw at navigating to its top, but with limited foot holds this treacherous cliff is a disaster waiting to happen. Even if one where to reach the top, there is only a small amount of land before the Haze creeps in.Stone Tumble Near the base of the Bluff Stones lies a large pile of boulders. These rocks have many crevices and crannies, and after sitting here for as long as any cat can remember it's probably safe to enter...Great Lion Fields In the East and the West, the Great Lion Fields hug the edge of the Haze and spread a good distance into Hazeclan territory. The Fields, as most call it, is named for its appearance in Greenleaf. When the sun shines brightly upon Hazeclan territory, hundreds of bright yellow flowers pop up across these grassy fields. These flowers are called Great Lions here in Hazeclan, from a story that elders brought about huge maned cats.
Tall Tree Forest Down in the South, oak, pine, and maple trees extend high into the sky. On the ground, brambles and bushes flourish. Here and there there is a strange clearing, and looking up you'll be able to just make out a patch of Haze, high in the sky. Even if you were to climb trees or even fly, you couldn't get out. Reassuring, no? Whether this depresses you or makes you happy, it isn't going to change. The forest can be found a few rabbit hops from the Dirt entrance of camp.Rocky River The River lies mainly in the Western part of the territory, running through the Fields and then past camp, to the North of it. It stops right before exiting the territory to the East, and gathers in a pond. The River is rather slow moving, and no danger to a grown cat except in its deepest parts. In many parts, the River is extremely shallow and can even be walked across by an apprentice, if they can balance on slippery rocks. In some areas, the river leaks off into what are basically large puddles. These puddles have soft, sandy bottoms and range from the size of an actual puddle to the size of a small pond.Star Pool This is the pool where medicine cats and leaders go to commune with Starclan. The pool is located at the far East of the territory, very near to the Haze border. Its depths are filled with swirling colors and its surface is constantly rippling from the incoming water. To dream, a medicine cat will drink the water until they fall into a deep sleep, where they dream of riddles and starry cats. The belief of Starclan was brought by the very first cats through the Haze, and passed down through the generations. In general The camp is found in a slight dip in the territory. To the South lies the forest, to the East and West the fields and to the North the river and the bluffs. The camp walls are made of trees and rocks to the South and brambles to the North. There are two exits, the front exit through a well hidden hole in the brambles and the back entrance, a climb over some of the safer rocks.Nursery and Elders dens These two dens are side by side. Each is a carefully construed den, made of brambles and mud. The bottom of each den is coated with the mud, and leaves and moss are pressed into it while it's still drying. This creates a sturdy, safe den that is completely safe for kits and elders. The entrance to each den is blocked with ferns.Medicine Cat den The Medicine Cat lives in and near a great broken tree stump at the edge of the camp that had been struck by lightning long ago. The Medicine Cat stores their herbs in hollows eaten out by termites or in other nooks and crannies around the tree.
Apprentice den The Apprentice den is a collection of bushes located near the Elders den. Apprentices sleep inside on moss and whatever else they can find that's soft.Warrior den The Warriors den is also a collection of bushes, but much larger. Surrounding the den are many beautiful but surprisingly painful wild roses. They range from red to yellow, and bloom in Newleaf. It is situated between the Apprentice and Leader dens.Leader den The leader's den is located next to the Warrior den. It is up a sudden and unexplained slope, on top of which lies a large boulder and a mess of bushes and ferns. It is easy to defend, seeing as there is no way to get to it without climbing the short slope, and any cat on the slope is visible from the den and to the whole clan.

Joining Page
Credit for the concept of HazeClan(as well as most of the text on this page, whoops) goes to Ivy, who sadly isn't a part of this forum. Or maybe she is and I just don't know yet and she'll see this and say "what are you doing, Sher?" I probably won't have an answer.
Credit for the graphics goes to Tommy-Boy Tomorrow's Hero.
