Hi :'3
So, do you want to post character descriptions, or learn through rp?

Post by anormallife on Jun 30, 2017 12:56:33 GMT -5
I usually describe through rp if that's fine with you

Post by Smokey Feather on Jun 30, 2017 12:59:05 GMT -5
That's fine. How should we start the rp?

Okay x3 Would you mind terribly if I asked you to start? So I can get an idea of average post length?

Yeah I can start, where should they be exactly?

Post by Smokey Feather on Jun 30, 2017 13:31:12 GMT -5
Hmm, it depends. What age range are we looking for?
|
|
|
Post by anormallife on Jun 30, 2017 13:53:35 GMT -5
Idk, late teens/early twenties ?
|
|
|
Post by Smokey Feather on Jun 30, 2017 14:00:46 GMT -5
Would you mind early twenties? I did teens last time I rped this, so I'd like to try a different age.
And as for where they should meet, maybe it can just be a public place? Maybe a party or something hosted by one of our character's friends?

(sorry this took so long to get up, I got distracted)
"Are you sure we are allowed to be here?" Lucas asked as he looked at the house in front of him. He wasn't much of a partygoer, but his friend decided to drag him here. "Yeah, yeah, I know the guy that's hosting it. It's going to be fun, just loosen up a bit Mendoza, enjoy yourself." His friend said as he pat him on the back then started to lead him inside the house. Lucas rolled his eyes at his friend, but followed him inside anyways. Maybe it would be a good thing to have fun and enjoy himself for once. They went up to the door and knocked and a few seconds later it opened. The man that was hosting was the one that opened the door and he happily greeted them and invited them inside. Lucas stepped inside with his friend and his dark eyes scanned the room. Maybe this wouldn't turn out as bad as he think it will.

(It's okay!)
Watching the party go on was what he liked to do. Milo wasn't the one to get into the dancing, gabbing throngs. He sat on one of the couches in the large house, watching with light blue eyes as others had fun and talked. The host of the party had finally convinced the young man to attend one of his events. Being on the shy side though, he didn't talk unless someone talked to him, which honestly wasn't too bad. Eventually, he got up from his spot to head to the kitchen where the drinks and food were spread out for the partiers. There, he'd managed to get into yet another conversation, Milo Heather smiling sweetly and talking happily with the girl, a friend of his named Lily, who'd started the talk. Soon, they left with drinks and each other as company. As they walked back out of the kitchen and into the actual party again, he was convinced to join the girl and her friends, encouraging him and telling him that he'd be fine.

(sorry for poofing again, I was eating dinner )
"Come on, let's go get some drinks." His friend said to him then they made their way further inside the party and off into the kitchen to get themselves a couple of drinks. Once they were done in there they walked back into the main room and stood against one of the walls. "You gonna talk to anyone besides me tonight?" his friend asked with a slight smile before taking a sip of his drink. "Probably..." Lucas said with a shrug as he looked down at the drink in his hand. He wasn't really one to talk to new people and only really talked to people that he already knew. But maybe it would do him some good to meet some new people.

(It's okay :3)
Milo was having a surprisingly good time talking with Lily and her friends. He was still shy, but he talked when he could. As they got to know each other, he couldn't keep from looking around. Even though he was being a little more open, he was still a little nervous because he didn't go to parties often. However, with encouragement from his friend, he went to go try walking around again. Parties were great opportunities to make new friends, so long as you avoided the drunks and horny folk. It was hard for him to make friends due to his shyness though, but agreeing to go to the party was already a big step.

(okay c: )
"Come on, go and talk to some of the pretty ladies here." His friend encouraged him then gave him a small playful shove away from the wall and into the party. "Okay, I will." Lucas said as he raised his hands in defeat. He took a quick glance around, took a sip of his drink, and ran a hand through his short black hair. Time to go and talk to some people. He then started to make his way around the party, looking for someone interesting to talk to besides his friend. He stopped a few small groups of people and exchanged a few words, but he didn't really find and good people to talk to yet, so he was wandering around the party once again.

Milo wasn't having much luck either, doing more walking than talking. Getting lost in his own thoughts, he had his attention brought to someone else though, when he accidentally bumped into Lucas. He stumbled back, a wave of embarrassment washing over him. "I-i'm so sorry!" he stuttered as he caught himself, making sure he himself was okay before looking up who he'd crashed into, hoping the other guy wouldn't be too mad at him for his simple, but dumb mistake of not paying attention. His cheeks turned pink from his embarrassment, looking up with his usual shyness.

Lucas stumbled slightly when Milo bumped into him, almost making him spill his drink in the process. He regained his footing and then turned to the other young man ready to tell him to watch where he was going, but something happened when he looked into his eyes. He felt... something. He couldn't really explain it. It was something he had never felt with anyone else before. He blinked then took a small step away from him as he got a good look at him. "It's fine." he said slowly, still a little bit confused on why this young man made him feel that way.

Milo's light blue eyes stared up at Lucas, who seemed to be surprisingly okay with being bumped into. Then, he realized he'd been staring longer than he should have, and looked away with a deeper blush. After gathering himself, he was silent for a moment as he ran a hand through his coal-colored curls. He probably should've just left, but something kept him there. Hesitating for a moment, he proceeded to say "I... um... I'm Milo." What made him give the stranger his name at all was unknown to him. He just felt a need for Lucas to know who he was.

Lucas watched the other man as he stood there. He was interesting to say the least, maybe he was the right person he was looking for to talk too. Milo? That was an interesting name. "I'm Lucas, nice to meet you." he said with a nod in greeting. Milo gave him his name so he thought it was polite to do the same. He took a pause to sip at his drink as he thought up of something to say next. "So are you enjoying the party?" he asked him as he lowered his drink.
(By the way, I don't know if I'll get to this bit of info at the moment in the rp but Lucas is Hispanic )

(Alrighty :3)
"Nice to meet you too, Lucas," Milo said in return, managing a soft smile. He took a ship of his own drink just as Lucas asked him a question. After thinking it over for a moment, he answered "More than I thought I would, actually. I usually don't go to parties because I'm rather shy and end up just sitting around." When people boot him into mingling though, he saw that it wasn't so bad. "What about you?" he asked a little curiously "How's it been for you so far?"

(Yupp c: )
Lucas nodded along and sipped at his drink as he listened to Milo. For someone who says that they were so shy he wondered why exactly he decided to talk to him, but at the same time he felt a little glad that he did. "The party has been alright." he said with a shrug to answer to his question. "It's been getting a bit better since I started going around and talking to some of the people here." he added. He probably wouldn't be having any fun at all if he stayed hugging the wall the whole time with the friend that he came with.

Milo was indeed a shy person, having trouble talking to Lucas without stuttering or trailing off. He felt proud of himself to be somewhat at ease with the other man though, nodding at his answer. "I wouldn't have been walking around without my friend convincing me to." If only he'd come across Lucas earlier, having not held a conversation this long the entire time he'd been at the party. "Maybe we can keep each other company until the party ends, or until one of us decides to leave?" From what was said, it seemed Lucas wasn't much different than him in terms of being social. Yet, Milo spoke his offer as a joke mostly, expecting it to be declined anyway.

Lucas took a quick glance around the room as he thought about the question. "Sure, why not. I got no one else to talk to anyways." he answered as his eyes landed back on the young man in front of him. The only other person he would probably want to talk to would be his friend, and even then it sometimes was not so fun after awhile. Milo seemed interesting and his friend did take him here to try to meet new people. Might as well try.

Milo looked rather happy when Lucas said they could keep each other company, like a puppy who was getting attention. Smiling that signature sweet smile of his, he said "Great. I had no one else to talk to either, given my friend cut me off from her attention supply, and no one else would really hold a conversation." How he managed to still be talking to Lucas was a mystery. Running a hand through his hair again, a nervous tick of his, he tried to think of something else to talk about, not wanting uncomfortable quiet to settle. "So... um... What do you like about parties? I can tell the being social part probably isn't it."

A small, half smile found it's way onto Lucas' lips at the sight of Milo's smile. It was sort of contagious in a way and he couldn't help but want to see more of it. He finished off his drink in the pause that it took Milo to think of something to talk about. He wanted another, but it could wait for now. Talking to Milo was a bit more important at the moment. "I don't know, I don't really like parties in general. But if I were too pick something, maybe the drinking aspect. Free drinks are always a good thing." he answered. "What about you? What do you like about parties?"

It took Milo a minute to think of an answer, taking a drink of his own before answering "Probably the chance to watch people." It did sound a little weird, but it was true. "It's interesting to form ideas of someone, make your own little story for them, and then actually go meet them officially to how right or wrong you were. He hadn't had time to form a little profile for Lucas though, having met him suddenly through bumping into him. "I know it sounds weird," Milo said softly "But it's the only thing you can do if you're not talking with anyone." It was what someone like him tended to do due to, half the time, having a hard time just going up and saying hi.
