this is a little page where i'm just going to let people chill out and roleplay. nothing too complex here. that being said this leaves a lot of things up in the air. so i'll spell it out a little more.
○•○•○
the rules
1. lgbtq+ characters --welcome! please just realize that some people such as myself aren't always comfortable with mxm or fxf romances. 2. chatting --do it. i love it. but make life easier for yourself and your peers by indicating when you're roleplaying and when you're talking, whether it be brackets, parentheses, or a sign over your text. just make sure that's clear for everybody.
3. activity --since this is an open door kind of rp you must give the person you were roleplaying with 3 days to come back to the rp you were involved in and then you're character is free to rp with someone else. if needed, i can shorten the time. i suggest you have at least two characters so if one of them gets stuck the other can still roleplay. 4. leaving --with this policy people will abandon you. don't take it personally. its just the way things will roll down here. i need you guys to be okay about it. this is for people with busy schedules with just a tad bit of time and want to roleplay. but at the same time this is for people who can be here all the time and commit themselves to roleplays but maybe just want a place to chillax as well. totally fine. definitely acceptable. 4. literacy --i always enjoy looking through rps only to discover some people's definition is waay different then mine so i'm going to clear this up for my page.
- not-quite-literate: some grammar and spelling mistakes, under four or five sentences, little description and mostly action
- literate: minimal grammar and spelling mistakes, four or five sentences, sometimes a paragraph, with some description and some action
- extremely-literate: little to no grammar and spelling mistakes, over two paragraphs, oozing with description and some action
my requirement for literacy is pretty low, i prefer you to be literate under my standards. but if cannot write a paragraph or so, its all right. i won't be the one to turn you down --you have to practice somewhere right? 5. kindness -- i follow this rule; if it sounds offensive with no context and you definitely wouldn't say it to your grandparents then don't say it. or maybe we can go back to the one where it says "if it's not nice don't say it" i mean come on guys. respect is a thing.
please and thank you. (:
○•○•○ okay. well now what, you've got this great idea but where, what, and who are we roleplaying? well moon's got you covered there too. ○•○•○
the places
the town::
our characters happily thrive in a small town in the good ol usa in the small state of maryland outside of nation's capitol itself washington d.c. the town has one main street with many small local shops that your characters can own. branching off the main road there is a park, an old mansion, and a 'lil pond.the coffee house::
the center of town is the coffee house. run by several different community members this is where people go to hang out. many dates have taken place here for many generations --in fact, they have a public board of names of people who have proposed here and a table if you're on a date and would like to carve your initials into the table you're free to do so.the park::
mostly dog walkers and parents with children wander through here. the soccer field, baseball field, and playground make this area an easy place to have any sort of sports match and a simple way to entertain your kids for a good chunk of time.old mansion::
this is where all the strange kids hang out and where paranormal activity is most likely to be happening. its rundown to say it kindly, but really, it just needs to be taken down.lil pond::
are you looking for duckies? old ladies feeding ducks and geese? a place for good pictures? this lil pond is for you. no one is entirely sure where people came up with the name but everyone in the town calls it that. its the current peaceful spot where you go to be alone and just enjoy nature.○•○•○the characters:: these characters are going to be mostly normal people but i did leave some room for you guys with paranormal characters (the old mansion). and if you have super powers, go for it. i actually have no serious limits here. as long as you arent ruining other people's fun then you should be fine.
○•○•○
plot:: so basically everybody is just here. make up mini plots with just one or two characters. plots take coordination, a structure, and activity. something we can't stand for here. no, i'm kidding. but seriously if you want to have a plot or a premise to what is actually happening, hit me up. ○•○•○ joining:: i just need you to hop into this roleplay.

Leah sat down at the Coffee House with her laptop. Opening it up it she pulled up her story... or what would be story. Eventually. Checking the creative writing prompt from her professor, Leah began to think. You mean to tell me I have to create a story incorperating a frog prince, a bouncy house, and a broken stick. I'm screwed. She pulled her long blonde hair out of the pony tail and twirled it in her hands subconsciously. The sudden spark of inspiration was just around the corner, Leah could feel it. Her fingers itched to race across the keyboard with a brilliant idea. Her MLA heading stared her down waiting for her to make a move.

Oliver glanced up from his phone sitting by the door of the coffee shop. He had noticed a girl walk in and sit down with a laptop, probably some business meeting or something. Luckily for him, he would never have to deal with that. At least that was the hope anyways. He was sitting there that day in attempt to get out of his house, or rather his parent's house that he inherited, at least when they were around he wasn't alone in there. He honestly considered selling it a couple times already, and buying a smaller, more to his size house. The problem would be the same, however, just an empty house with no one in there except for himself. Once he pulled himself from being lost in thought, he had noticed he had been staring at the girl the entire time, so he quickly adverted his gaze and took a long drink of the coffee he had. Hopefully she hadn't noticed his staring, even if he was just doing it on accident.
